      Yes :/ But now it's more about not feeling feminine enough. I always was more into guys stuff and I guess I'll always will be.
      If I would have a chance to change my gender tho, I doubt I would, because I have straight boyfriend, I want to have children and I always was a slave to people opinions :/

    3:35 please no one bind your chest like this. Use a binder or sports bras. Just not bandages or anything like that.
    edit: so this got a lot of attention to i think i need to clear something up
    the reason you dont bind with bandages is because bandages aren't made to let you move they are made to be tight and become tighter. this can cause muscles damage, rib bruising, damage to your lungs and spine. so yah don't bind with bandages. Also don't bind while asleep, don't wear a binder of more than 8 hours, don't excises with a binder on and LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

    as a trans guy, I really support this video. it’s totally okay to question your gender! I grew up playing with girly toys, wearing girly things. but I was obsessed with a lot of “boy” things. my interests don’t make me trans. my dysphoria does. a trans person can come from any background. and even if you aren’t trans, it’s okay to experiment with gender expression. do NOT medically transition until you are sure; especially if you plan on starting T. male puberty is extremely hard to reverse (trans women can definitely agree) and if you turn out wrong, you could be stuck with real dysphoria for the rest of your life and that’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. stay safe :-(

    • @tulsiclarity3228
      @tulsiclarity3228 4 года назад +129

      No, no no, shut up. In also trans än your dysphoria does not make you trans. Like, thats so fucking excluding to say and i hope that anyone trans without dysphoria didn't have to see such a hurtful thing.
      Trans people can have whatever body they feel comfortable with and to say that your dysphoria is what makes you trans is widely problematic.

When reality is blurred it's not ever a good thing. Yeah I'd like to be a women but I commonly except that I am not. I'ma straight guy and there is nothing wrong with that just accept what you are and accept reality and you'll be ok. you'll ruin your lies you ever think about who you want to be rather than who you can be and be the best you can be

      Cody Sullivan if you’re telling me that i’d be happier just living as my biological sex, which is female, then you’re wrong. i’ve attempted suicide for the hope of being reincarnated as biologically male. the best treatment for me is to transition so that I can live as male. there’s a difference between wanting to be the opposite gender and having gender dysphoria. I hope that you’re able to safely explore your own identity and find peace with that. but for me, living as my biological sex is a death sentence.

      You're never too young or too old to start figuring yourself out. Don't worry about telling other ppl until you understand yourself. If you need help figuring it out, I'd ask ppl who might be going through the same thing. Find some LGBT online communities or in-person friends, and then you can figure out how to tell them.

    • @miimaas
      @miimaas 5 лет назад +7

      @Dat øne derpy bøi Thankfully rlly short haircuts on girls and long haircuts on guys are trends nowadays and it isn't weird to see ppl with atypical haircuts. So if you're scared to tell them WHY you want a haircut, you can simply tell them you want to try (whatever cut you want) just to see what it's like. You can also test the waters a bit by telling your parents you met someone (u could say it was online if you're worried about them wanting to meet them or anything) who's (whatever your situation is) and see how they react to it. It's a subtle and fairly safe way to find out who around you will be supportive and who won't.

    Videos like these make me feel fake and like im in a phase. I’ve been struggling with my gender for years. Even as a little girl i was so happy when my mom told me i looked like a boy at one point. I ended up identifying as trans. I go by He/Him and a different name with my friends and it really makes me happy. I hate my deadname, it’s like a punch in the gut and i occasionally breakdown after hearing it. But im also Neurodivergent so phases and special interests can play a huge part in my own gender identity crisis. Which confuses me further whether im really trans or not.I do want to fully transition but I’m also very scared I’ll regret it because im simply in a phase. I used to think i was in a phase. I stopped identifying as trans for a lil bit after i came out to my family and they broke my dreams and confidence at all in this. They aren’t accepting. But yea i thought it was a phase afterwards buy them i bounced back and dysphoria can back. I hate shower, i hate mirrors. I hate my long hair and i hate my chest. Yea i do want a d*ck but again i dont know if it’s a phase. It scares me that it is cuz i do really really wish i was born a guy. I feel like like would’ve been better. Less depressing and self-hating. I just wanna figure out who I am without the struggle in it. And these type of videos dont help. I loved the video regardless and watched all through because it’s amazing and I support it. It just makes me question myself. I really hate myself for not just being a girl like everyone else like i should. But that’ll be constant ig

    • @CJ-ew9mq
      @CJ-ew9mq 4 года назад +38

      Well I obviously can't tell you what you are, but I've also felt this to a slightly lesser extent. After I told my dad and found out that he had felt like that in his teenage years but it went away, I got worried that maybe it was genetic and I only felt like this because of puberty. I felt ok later though. And seeing stories of people who had gender dyphoria but don't now. I didn't like how confused and worried that got me. So I dunno. The way I see it, it's best to just do the things you like and act like yourself in your best mood because if I focus on trans then I start acting different trying to be and act like all the dude stereotypes. So it might be better not to think of it as trans vs not trans, and just think of it as you currently. If you feel sick or whatever being called feminine things, then I think you should do what makes you feel less terrible inside. Things like surgery are permanent, but without parental consent you would need to be 18 and with the money it might take longer, so if you still feel like that once you're at that age then you probably will continue to feel like that. But anyway, I don't think you should stress about the trans thing cause we're all just people trying to do what makes us happy, and that shouldn't have a gender. Even if this is a phase, your feelings when you were in it were real at least to you, so the whole 'are you really trans' or 'am I trans enough' doesn't matter. Having a label to call yourself is nice until that's all you can be. So try to have fun! Listen to good music, play fun games, if you like books or cooking or gardening or martial arts, you should do it! Since we only have one life, it'd be a waste to spend it all stressing about things that are out of our control. And even if you find out later that maybe you are a female or something else, that doesn't mean that you're one like on tv. You'll still be yourself no matter the gender. Anyway geez this was long! I suck at writing normal lengthed replies -_-. So I'm sorry for this horrendous mess if you end up seeing it. My thoughts always get really jumbled when I'm writing. Hope you have a nice week and holiday season! Peace

At a young age I mostly had girl friends with one boy friend and I played with dolls as well as trucks and playfighting. I've never been uncomfortable with the feminine side of myself, I don't see myself as masculine, but I'm a man, it doesn't matter if girly shit is awesome sometimes. It sucks that you went through so much hardship, and also, I hope you don't just act feminine because you feel you need to, do what you want!
    Also: This one audio drama series I love to death has an episode where the maincharacters wind up fighting against a corrupt tyrant who oppresses women and forces them to be the workhorses of the kingdom/country/whatever and where the men are all lazy drug addicts who never have to do anything. At the end it's revealed that the tyrant, despite being the 'king' is actually a woman who watched her life get torn apart by a divorce caused by her father's drug addiction and then blamed her mom and her gender in whole. She acted as a man and subjegated the women because she wanted to men to be allowed to have their drugs and be in control because she saw her dad as being in the right. Just though I'd bring up this story since I thought of it when you described your toxic friend.

      Ehh, Not everyone changes genitals but yeah getting diagnosed is key. If you deciede on Hormone Replacement Therapy (Main treatment for most transfolk) then a doctor supervision is require for a bunch of reasons towards making sure you're on the right does and staying healthy. At that point if you're not really trans and the underlying cause it different you should notice the hormones causing you to get worse and not feel better about yourself. Since detransitioning in the first 3-6 months really only carries minor symptoms in most cases; simple due diligence is often all that's needed.

    Thinking that things will be easier by being something different is not a good idea, or as the saying goes "grass is always greener on the other side" sure the things you take issue with may be better but there is other baggage that you probably have not even considered.

      I don't think that anybody can "recommend" anything. For me getting a top surgery is a necessity because I have a really bad gender dysphoria about my chest. People who regret getting surgeries are usually the people who thought they were trans but actually were going through something else mentally or who's surgery had gone wrong and they are dissatisfied with the results.

    • @fermii63
      @fermii63 5 лет назад +26

      I havent had them but I will tell you that i have been wanting top (chest masculinization) surgery since I was... 12 or 13, and im almost 17, so im doubting im making the wrong choice. I have my reservations about bottom surgery, but every day my bottom dysphoria gets worse and worse, so ill probably do something about that later, too.

      Cant speak for people who have had surgeries, but transitioning socially and medically is saving my life right now. My gender dysphoria has always been bad, and i always get a burst of euphoria when I am gendered correctly. I am starting hrt in about a week, and i couldn't be more excited. It feels like I'm finally becoming the person that i was always meant to be. I strongly recommend transitioning for those who experience gender dysphoria, as its the one true cure to it.

    • @connorbuttsoup6242
      @connorbuttsoup6242 5 лет назад +35

      I do not regret having surgery at all. It was the best decision of my life. However, I would NOT say I "recommend" surgery. Surgery is a huge decision that can improve someone's life but could also worsen another's. In the video, this girl is not transgender. She was confused about her gender identity, which is totally fine and I'm happy for her that she was able to explore her gender before deciding what was right for her. To anyone who thinks they may be transgender and/or is considering surgery, I would say the best thing you can do is wait before taking any medical steps and try to figure yourself out. This may be through crossdressing or telling a close friend or therapist how youre feeling. Overall surgery is an extremely personal decision that should be well thought out before someone engages in it.

    A tomboy, strong mother. Perfect (sometime men dont like that over girly girls)

    • @shawnm.7450
      @shawnm.7450 4 года назад +15

      Someone can be a "girly girl" (very feminine is probably the better term you're looking for) and still be a strong mother just as much as a tomboy. And behavior wise, if there already is a man in the house, a more effeminate mother might be more fitting because you'd already have a role model filling out the masculine role so with a tomboyish mother, there'd be a bit of a shortage of femininity in terms of a role model in the house. Why that would matter is because in psychology, it's been proven statically that households with a strong feminine motherly figure and strong masculine fatherly figure tend to have kids that are better well rounded and do better throughout life compared to those households lacking one of those two figures.

      There is nothing wrong with being confused at all. One of the letters in lgbtq+ that being “q” stands for questioning. It basically means that there are plenty of people who are questioning things like that. So feel free to explore in the best way you can. If you turn out to be non-binary or trans that’s great! If not, that’s great too! That just means you’ll get to have a perspective that not a lot of cis-gender people get! That’s pretty cool if you ask me.

    im going through a gender crisis where im not sure if im nonbianary or just butch. i like they/them pronouns a lot more than female ones and i have a fake name i use online that's more unisex. but in real life i can still tolerate being considered female by everyone around me so idk. i wear mens clothes, I've changed my posture, the way i talk, cut my hair, and make my voice lower too. i dont want to be a man but i do want to be androgynous looking. ive never liked the size of my chest either and ever sence puberty ive been subconsciously slouching in baggy t-shirts to try and hide it, ended up giving myself really bad spinal issues.
    but i am going slow with things, i dont want to label myself until i know for sure what i am, my closest friends respect my journey and they refer to me as whatever i need them to without judgement, im really scared that if i make a label official and come out, then change my mind, everyone would ridicule me.

      I believe the word ‘tomboy’ can be taken in many ways depending on what the person who says it means. When I used that word, it is more of a term to empower me, as I lived in a very toxin masculine community. So having that label on me, was my safety net to know that I am feminine but with masculine traits or features. Either way, the word tomboy is an “each to their own” term. Remember, the world is full of colours, and with that comes various perspectives and views.

      anime Edits No it is not.
      When you say sexist, it connotes that whatever it is is offensive or shouldn’t be said, although it actually denotes that whatever it is, encourages prejudice, stereotyping and discrimination.
      It doesn’t encourage any of these things, if it encouraged stereotyping, the term tomboy would have to mean something along the lines of “a woman who does manual labour instead of cooking”.
      And it doesn’t imply that being a masculine woman is abnormal, it literally just defines a woman as having traits similar to males ( usually to do with things like toys ), this doesn’t mean “abnormal”, it just means “different”.
      My mum was a tom boy because she played with toys that were made for boys, because yes, some toys are made for ( but not exclusive to ) boys, and some are made for girls.
      That’s the way it has been for years and there is nothing wrong with that.

    Im pretty sure Im a boy??
    When I was growing up mum gave me dolls and stuff but I hated them and ripped out the batteries..I really only played with toy cars..
    in the middleschool ages, I acted like a dude, I did parkour, video gaming, even as young as age 7.
    I did typical boy things.
    Im in my teenagehood and I don't wear makeup EVER not even at formal events, I hate dresses, I constantly imagine what it be like to be a male, the jokes I say are better when a guy does it, I act exactly like a dude not just a tomboy but a full on dude, I have no desire to be feminine ever, I do skateboarding, Boys hate me because I'm too masculine, Girls hate me because I'm not feminine at all, I don't even know how to do my hair, my room is a mess. I grew up with my brother and his my role model, my mum was naturally very tomboyish so I never had any feminine figures in my life.
    Every feminine thing I do just feels wrong, I just wish I could be like one of the bois..because when I do that as a girl everyone just sees it as cringey or weird...In my experience every girl Ive met just starts drama and gossip and how I argue is more in a masculine way where I will fight for one day but the next day wanna be friends again, I give no shits about appearance.
    So yeah pretty sure Im trans..not sure yet though...could just be extremely tomboyish and people have said "Maybe you're gay" But I'm not attracted to females....I just don't know anymore...even the boyfriends Ive had in the past have been like "Sorry you're too boyish for me" and it sucks...cause I completely agree...
    Im terrified though..because all my life Ive said "Oh but females can be as masculine and they want and still be girls" but Im starting to realize that maybe there are certain traits that make someone a girl and someone a boy...and I lack the ones that make me a girl...like comparing myself to girls.. I've never acted like them..not even once..
    But ..I don't want my mum to see me different..and I don't want to get bullied :(....Im just so confused now....I dont want to be seen as different....but...I am getting so sick of being seen as a girl... someone help me...I want to make sure that Im not just a really masculine girl...but ugh....was it because I was raised like a boy or copied my brother....
    And to be fair I have no interest in babies or children either..My mum also put me in dancing classes and I hate waking up early, putting my hair in a bun and putting on makeup and then performing...it feels so freeking wrong...
    I have no problem with females..the ones im really good friends with are so great and caring..but I just don't feel as I fit in with them.. theres just something I feel like I lack...I don't even know what makes a girl a girl anymore and what makes a boy a boy anymore......
    My parents never really raised me..they were more like my friends tbh...
    Sorry for ranting about my problems

    they're MY interests, MY thoughs, MY clothes and MY body. and they'll be whatever i'm comfortable with, nothing more, nothing less.

    I am a trans boy, but my parents say that I can't be one because when I was little I wore dresses and played with dolls. But when I was little I would not only play with "girl" things, but I also liked sports, cars and trousers.
    Trans boys can be feminine, just as how trans girls can be masculine. It really bothers me that people relate 100% gender only with style.

    This is so sad... U dont need to let the sexist pressures of the world rule you. Your young, you don't need to be a girly girl or a tough boy. U can be what ever u want. Taking hormones and transitioning dosnt always have the answers. I'm glad you came to the closlusion to give it time. Never rush into something like gender sugary.

      Im glad there are people out there who understand where I'm coming from. I was worried people who see it as me pushing down trans people. Im just a strong believer in taking your time and letting your brain mature and allowing your body to catch up. Surgery is a big step for any human.

      @@Jennifer-tx6dj absolutely! Im trying to step back and relate to what other people are saying, instead of getting defensive over a misunderstanding, y'know. It is a major issue and I can see why others would want to defend ourselves, but it wont get us anywhere if we're fighting people who are agreeing with us lol

    Girl I stuggle with the same thing- in a different context though, but with some similarities,like my family not wanting me to cut my hair. And it's weird, because, right now, I think of me as a girl and just the thought of being a guy gives me anxiety. But sometimes I feel better thinking of me as a guy and wearing manly clothing. Also I hate dresses and skirts or showing my chest.
    Sorry that I'm saying this here, you probably don't care, bit you are the first person sharing a similar experience to mine.

      I think you should try butch fashion. I think a lot of young girls are told and taught that their bodies arent beautiful or that they should hate themselves or that they should compare themselves to other girls, and a lot of them think being a guy will fix that. (Btw, as a trans guy, ill tell you one thing: it doesnt work lol)
      If still presenting female, but with a manly style still makes you feel bad, id suggest trying light binding with sporta bras and things like that.

    WHY DO YOUR VIDEOS NEVER HAVE THE THUMBNAIL IN THEM

    • @NeroTMAnimations
      @NeroTMAnimations  5 лет назад +23

      Because when I do the video, I don't use shadows, and I want a nicer finish to the thumbnail. Ps, sometimes I do take them from the video, if the composition and stuff is a thumbnail material. This video does have a similar frame as the thumbail, but while I was sketching thumbnail ideas, I just really liked the idea of that frame. But I wanted thid thumbail to represnt me, so I changed some things up.

    It's so interesting to see these opinions on gender, as a trans guy myself i understand how you may have felt confused and i can see where it was just imposed toxic femininity. Not gonna lie but even i have doubted my own gender identity before but now i know that i do feel comfortable as a man who isn't afraid to show a feminine side. Also, you kind of perpetuated the toxic behavior your toxic friend made you go through and you repeated the cycle with your friend. I'm really glad you are not confused anymore and are comfortable with yourself

    This radiates “I’m not like other girls” but sadly
    Okay, I don’t like that this is very similar to me, well besides those two issues they have and the self esteem thing- I’m just scared cause I don’t think my dad would react kindly to me being a guy- lol..
    Edit: And I like that “e-boy hair” I want it 😳 and suits are just 😳 and like- girls are just 😳 lol-

    Honestly, when it comes to LGBT, there are two things I would like people to think about.
    First, regardless of your identity, understand that it is only one part of who you are. Everyone is made different, but no one is special.
    Two, gender identity and the cultural binary on gender are two separate things. So, if you're questioning, please try to look at both things and see what is bothering you.
