Brian, her ex-husband now doesn't have to pay alimony anymore now! The family court judge said he didn't have to pay if she was convicted of murder. He had him put it in an account waiting for the outcome. Sarah's letters to that were horrendous! Also Brian wanted to move out of state for his son's protection
He just won his whole case!

The video that Sarah filmed of Jorge rehearsing what he would say in court to get her DV charges dropped reminds me so much of a hostage/ransom situation. Congratulations on the 800K bing! I’ve been here since way before the purple hair bing and I feel so proud of you! Thank you for covering this incredibly difficult case, the only coverage I’d want to watch on it. 💜

Emily, you raised an EXCELLENT point: you DON'T have to INTEND to kill someone to merit Murder in the Second Degree; you just have to have intended some form of HARM that RESULTED in the victim's death (e.g., if you punch someone hard enough to cause a head trauma that kills them -- you may have not intended to kill them, but it's still 2nd Degree Murder).
Sarah ADMITTED zipping him into the suitcase AND leaving him to go upstairs -- it is THAT combination of events that led to Jorge's demise -- ergo, 2nd Degree Murder.

This case will be taught in law schools forever more! Excellent prosecution and judge. Defence did best possible with a terrible case.

Defence was awful rude disrespectful and wasted time - mirror image of Sarah
