Dear Brue, A lot of thanks for your clear and very well explained tutorial. Yesterday, I successfully managed to replace the HDD (100% utilisation error i couldn't fix) by a SSD. The upgrade is amazing. I'd also thank you as this kind of tutorial allow us to extend the life of the laptop instead of buying a new one each 4-5 years. @@JonathanHernandez-hf4jj I replace my 1To HDD by a Samsung-500 Go SSD (enough space with this latter) so I cannot say. I noticed that CPU tends to be more used but nothing unusual. Hi, my laptop is Lenovo Ideapad 320 I3 Gen 6 and i want to play game like valorant, apex legends and others what should i upgrade to play those games?
what was the size of the original HDD? wondering because i have the same exact laptop & i wanna know the specs b4 tearing it down
Is there a way to add a fan?
so what if i want ssd and hdd both together
If you have an optical bay you could fit the HDD into an optical bay caddy, otherwise you can only have one or the other.
I have 2TB HDD on my laptop. Can i add a 500GB SSD with caddy? or it just works on laptops with 1TB HDD! Thank you
Yes, can add in a 500GB SSD no problem. If retaining the 2TB drive I'd move that to an optical bay caddy and install the SSD in the main slot inside.
@@BrueComputing Thank you very much
@@MahanMontazeri No problem - glad to help.
Hello what type memory module compatible?
What RAM memory does this laptop take .is it a ddr4 sodimm ..
Do I understand correctly, that you can also apply the SSD Drive into the socket for the DVD drive?
Yes you can, if you still have the dvd drive. I lost the dvd drive soooo 😌😌
Thank you !
No worries!
Does it contain m2 slot for installing nvme type SSD?
hello sir. if i change the drive to ssd, my files from hdd will be Erase? thank you so much for your helpful video, i'm using ideapad 320 too.
Your files will be on the old drive. You can either clone them (and Windows) to the new SSD, or clean install Windows 10 and copy your data manually.
Do we lose anything or does anything gets deleted after upgrading the ram?
You shouldn't lose anything since everything is stored on your hard drive.
My laptop is ideapad 320 and i want to change my processor is it possible sir? Thank you for your answer
No, modern laptops don't have replaceable CPUs without replacing the whole mainboard.
i bought nvme m.2 ssd for this but there is no any slot for this
Correct - it takes a 2.5" SATA drive, not an M.2.
Hi sir, I'm planning on upgrading my Lenevo ideapad laptop to 8gb ram with my adata 4gb ram from my acer, does Lenevo ideapad 320 supports the ram of Acer laptops?
Do yourself a favor and just get a 16GB memory and this laptop will be updated to 20GB memory 19.7 useable. I just did this today and this laptop is now wonderful, not to mention, I did also upgraded to a 500GB Crucial SSD drive
@@miketuck3010 thank you
@@alizahid5572 No problem :)
I added a 16gb ram ADATA and it’s not picking up
which ram type is supported by i36006u processor, is it 2400 or 2666mhz and max size that can be used is 8 or 16 or 4gb? please help.
Hi . a good video guide ! but i want to ask about ram upgrade.I have ideapad 320 too but when i put a 8gb ram 2133mhz in it the laptops only can run about 8 minutes before the blue screen pop ups . Can i know if you have the same problem or not. How to fix it?
Sounds like a faulty memory module.
Same probleme I have 4gb and I put an other 8 gb and then I have bsod . I think it was the wrong one . On this case you should ask a specialist before buying any ram
@@BrueComputing did you try to upgrade the ram on ideapad 320? Im planning to do so also but Im afraid will have the same issue
Hi i have a question for you: can i use my ideapad 320 if i remove the battery from the laptop? Sorry for my english.
Yes, it'll work with the mains adapter connected.
Is there only one slot for memory? Meaning to upgrade it, I just want to buy one stick?
On the model I had, yes. There are quite a few different variants of the ideaPad 320 though.
Can you replace the hard drive without removing the battery ?
You can. I just did the replacement without removing the battery.
Sir i have lenovo ideapad 320-14isk i want to upgrade may ram with 8gb 2666mhz is it compatible?
Should be fine - looks to only have 1 DIMM slot though.
@@BrueComputing dimm slot? I have 4gb now built in
@@BrueComputing can i run gta 5 my specs is i3 4gb ram 920mx 1tb
Yes, there should be a single DIMM slot on the mainboard you can add RAM to. Under a metal cover.
With 4GB, no. With 8GB it should run, but won't be especially high frame rates on an 920MX.
Hi how much is the maximum ssd of lenovo 14isk model?
Hello, I got a Lenovo ideapad 320. Inter i7-8550u with 12 gb ram (4 integrated and 8) and without SSD, what would you recommend me to upgrade for games, games like gta V, apex legends and stuff like that, they are running low on fps, is there a way I can upgrade to get better with ? Regards
Is it the same for the Lenovo 330 ideapad ?
Could i put a ram stick from my Asus a15 into my ideapad 320?
