  • HEADING INTO THE NEW YEAR
Heads up! A new video has dropped! To help ring in the New Year and kick off the Supercross season, Bell Helmets just released a new “Under The Helmet” segment with professional Supercross rider Eli Tomac and his father, Hall of Fame mountain biker John Tomac. “John was also a Bell athlete throughout his career which makes for a cool connection,” says Bell Helmets Media Relations Manager JC Maldonado. “The story talks about Eli’s rise to success with his father’s guidance and his latest career transition as he seeks to cement his place as one of Supercross racing’s greats.”
Somewhere on a ranch in rural Colorado, there’s a supercross champion gearing up for an epic rivalry. The stakes couldn’t be higher for Eli Tomac, who just stunned the world with his jump to the “Blu Crew” at Yamaha. A new bike, new dreams, and a whole new upper limit to explore-it’s now up to Eli and the only trainer he’s ever known, mountain bike racing icon John Tomac. Get this first-ever behind the scenes look into life on the ranch as Eli goes full throttle on this new beginning. There’s no doubt he’ll come out swinging in 2022.

Can you imagine an entire nation of people working hard to achieve like Eli? Motocross is America. This sport is practically the only thing I can stand about our Country right now.

Wow, thank you Eli. I don't think I really thought about how much he has meant to the sport as I have grown up watching it until this video. It's going to be a sad day when ET3 retires, but he has earned every bit of his success and I wish him all the best. To me, his retirement will feel like the end of an era. Great video, and really great to see the personality behind Eli after so many years of what seemed like a disinterest in the media. I agree with some of the comments below; his switch to Yamaha and whatever is going on in his personal life seem to have really brought him to a more comfortable, open and happy place from a fan's perspective. Really enjoyed this.

Eli is great! Watching him in Beast mode is what got me back into the sport! Getting older and having a family and working as much as I did running a restaurant for 23 years you do not have a lot of time for things. Then one night flipping through the channels I stopped on a supercross race to watch for a minute a couple years ago and missed watching and then I saw #3 come through the crowd and how can you not love that. And then to find out what a great person he is and humble I loved it. Thanks Eli!

Been an Eli Tomac fan since his early days with Honda. I could tell by his relentlessly aggressive riding style that he would either become an iconic legend of this sport or suffer a career ending injury. While he has had some pretty bad injuries, he's always come back, which cemented his legendary status forever.

Man I wish nothing but the best and the good lord’s blessings for Eli and his family. Great people.
But the selfish side of me is dying thinking about Eli not lining up anymore. This dude is just flat out the truth and is ALWAYS great to watch. Physically he’s got a lot left in the tank , but I get it. All us fans say we’d do it forever if we were there in their shoes, but truthfully we have no idea what these guys go through. I just hope we get a few more seasons before he thinks he can’t hang anymore.

What a cool video and family!! The Tomas’s have always been on the quite side and that has always drawn me into watching. No trash talk just class act. So cool to see that a father and son can stand the test of time together when they are solid. You can tell the respect comes first over everything and I feel that is help them be so successful. All good things come to an end and I sure hope Eli doesn’t lose the fire for a few more years as I am long time fan of his and the sport. I don’t think I have missed watching a single supercross race since the 1989 back when you had to tape them in the middle of the night just to watch the race weeks after you knew who won. My hat goes off to the Tomac Family enjoy the ride and I have so enjoyed watching.

Amazing father son dynamic, they both get it and have taken it to the very top of an incredibly difficult sport! Being from Colorado we’re crazy proud of Eli and his accomplishments. He’s always the consummate pro and his level of maturity is a testament to his parents and western upbringing, altogether it just makes him hard not to like.
Hope he wins a few more championships and then hangs it up, buys a ranch close to his folks and just spends the rest of his life in solitude chasing deer and elk with his kids and wife….thanks Eli for all the great rides we’ve been able to witness!!

Eli is my favourite rider of all time, by the time I started to watch motocross and supercross Stewart, Carmichael, and villapoto were already either retired or on their way to retirement so I never really got to watch those guys race, but I did made it in time to see the beginnings Eli’s pro career and he quickly became my favourite rider.
When it was announced that he was leaving Kawasaki for the relatively new star racing Yamaha team I was skeptical, but seeing what he has been able to do this year has been an awesome experience. Let’s go ET3!

Living in Cortez where he is away from things helps with focusing on racing but zJohn and his Moms values seem to be spot on for Eli and now he has an awesome wife it seems to bad we will never get to know her how we have got to see a side of his dad but he seems to have the perfect little family and he is happy I hope for us fans that means more racing after the injury and the rise of Jett going perfect his rookie year we wii have to see how it goes! I think that Eli is a little surprised that he is picking up and learning from this experience and that being around danger boy has given him a little shot of being young again and some of that excitement of becoming a pro and starting out your career! Deegan only has 1 year as a pro under his belt and it is good for Eli to spend some time with him! I am sure at first it has been a little awkward until the got use to everything John as well, John is totally different then Brian but hats of to Brian for being right there with Haden and given him that comfort of his father being there with him and all four are going to be the better for it.
