Didn't realise this was over an hour long. Absolutely love David Duchovny. Loved The X Files. I STILL collect X Files memorabilia. Love Gillian Anderson as well. To grow up in the 90's was such an exciting time. Thank you for this interview.

I got a BA studying English And David has a point about authors studied in colleges and universities not being entirely contemporary and modern day. I went to college in the 1990s and i do recall reading 20th century authots but mostly novelists, short story writers and poets from 19th and 18th century .
As a former English/ literature major, I always found it intriguing that Duchovny was a grad student in Literature and in a PhD program and left it to become an actor. Frankly, though i like Duchovny as an actor, Im more interested in his grad school background maybe because i never chose to get a MA or Phd
I'd love to ask david his literary thoughts on Sinclair Lewis's 1930s novel, 'It Couldn't Happen Here' I'm listening to the Grover Gardner narration, I have to say it is a scary book.
