A shame this car is driven by owners who's credit score won't finance a paper bag, and now it is driven with missing bumpers, dented doors and a flat tire yet still doing 90mph+ in the middle lane cutting everyone off.
Genuinely looks good when outfitted with alloys instead of steelies, nearly unrecognizable with all of its panels free of dents and a bumper cover that’s fitted and not hanging
Since the Altima is being discontinued in 2025 there's no reason for Nissan to do a complete redesign. They just do incremental changes for every model year.
Too bad according to the comments here that Nissan will be discontinuing it. There are still customers that want a sedan with a separate trunk and not a plastic cladded station wagon on tippy toes marketed as a crossover.
Will last longer, and with more abuse, than other cars will run at all. Half are sold to companies to give to employees that drive 30k/year for work. (last car company left to sell large numbers of non-SUVs for fleets) So all of the poorly maintained 3yo company cars with 90k are sold for peanuts to used car dealers whose customers are likely to appear in police car-cam videos.
The fact that Nissan doesn't offer AWD on the turbo charged SR trim is idiotic. Kia actually does the same thing for their K5 GT which is probably the biggest reason my family went with the Sorento SX (Prestige equivalent in the Canadian market) instead.
I had owned an Altima in 2019 as my 2nd car and im pretty sure my credit score is no where near 300. Pretty sure it wasn't then nor now. That's a thing people that don't know what they talking about says in comments. I know not one person whom can get a car at a dealership with 300 credit score.
Yes, indeed, it does. I have a 2011 SR that still runs like it just came off the showroom floor. 13 years old...it's all about how you take care of your ride.
Gotta review what comes in. This came in. Gotta review it. And hey, some of our viewers may need a comparison video to the 2024 model. So… boom. Here it is 🤗
The press fleets sometimes don't have cars available for very long and we don't get our hands on them. Sometimes we chose to not make videos of all models. But if there's something we're missing or you want to see, definitely let us know and we'll try to make it happen.
What's improved from the previous years' offering...now I'm not talking about the outside look or the interior, I want to know about the engine! I think these days that's what I'm more "concern" about given how expensive gas is. $25,000 for this...that's to start and with all sorts of crazy mark-ups from the dealership. Better come with "too many" cup holders!
It's gonna go bye-bye in 2025 so that leaves the nissan sentra and Nissan versa I'm still waiting for the next Gen Nissan Murano has Nissan forgotten about that SUV 🤔 I think they have because I haven't heard or see anything about the murano
This is one of the vehicles I'm actually looking at. This, along with the camry and the Malibu. I won't waste my time with the ugly ass Accord that looks like a science experiment gone. Or the Korean brands which are known for catching on fire 🔥. Oh, and the Subaru legacy. Whichever fit my needs will be the one I'll buy.
I just rented a 2023 Altima SV while my 2013 Accord was in the shop. I have mixed feelings about the car. Styling was okay. The seating position was okay. Fit and finish.... Well, it had me scratching my head. For what Nissan wants for this car, it was loaded with cheap hard plastic. And placement of some switches/buttons had me wondering if Nissan almost forgot to put them in the car at all (gas tank door release, odometer trip reset). Acceleration left me frustrated at the car. I definitely could not maneuver in highway traffic the way I could in my 13 Accord. Needless to say, renting that Altima was the longest 10 days of my life. I was never so happy to see my Accord. I wouldn't mind driving an Altima again, as a rental. But I definitely would never put it on my purchase list.
I have the 2021 Altima SL trim, it is a good car for sure. But the CVT transmission sucks sometimes. Personally, my next purchase will be a BMW instead: powerful engine, quality materials, comfort etc…
Yeah, same here...I get there's the "Big Altima Energy" stigma with this car, but did he have to take it to this level and turn something professional (while also having fun in a different way while reviewing) into something that made me wish there was a way to get my 10-min of my life wasted back...#KBBdisappointed
When i watch these videos, i am hopeful my old car lasts forever, because when reviews say "safety system" which follows box truck visibility, all i hear is death trap. Or.. CVT all i hear is new transmission at 90k miles.. or touch screen.. all i hear is no buttons and broken at 75k miles. or $$$$ death.. 😂

Definitely true in texas.
Hmm.. I drive one and my credit is in the 700’s… but I get what you’re saying 😂😂
This is true for the base models SV lol

+1 for acknowledging the negative stigma surrounding traditional Altima drivers. Keep it real.
The Nissan Altima, the poster child of highway pursuits.
The interior looks better than most Infiniti models in the market today.

@@MrHuff05 hey thanks Mr Huff I appreciate that! Thanks for watchin, bro!
I actually like cvt. Don't have to worry about engine jerking.. it's smooth shifts with cvt..

Nissan's CVT's are the worst tho for longevity. Rent them, don't buy them. Even CVT fans avoid Nissan
What shifts? CVT's don't shift.. lol
"Smooth shifts with cvt" lol, a cvt *doesn't* shift/have gears.

Thanks Robert!
Heard that they are going to discontinue the Altima for '25...pretty much a shame...it's a solid car good for the money.
Big Altima energy
There’s a literal Facebook group called said name 😂
The answer to why Big Altima Energy is a thing: Nissan finances EVERYONE

Looks great but does it overheat going up any hill longer than a mile like all of the Nissans I have ever owned?
I test drove the prototypes for these at Nissan. Yes it can go up a hill without overheating 😆
@@josephnelson9020 thats good. My 2012 Maxima, my 2014 Murano and my 2017 Sentra SR Turbo all have had problems here in Utah mountains.

I don't understand the hate for cvts in cars like this. Do you really think the ppl buying altimas know what a cvt is lol.
They can’t even spell cvt

Lost my interest as soon as you mentioned it comes with a CVT transmission. And that poor backup camera resolution. What’s up with that?
Mike Danger, the single talk was on the High beam function.
Spot on. Pull the stalk to flash high beams, push to turn on.
why did you guys make some reviews so late? like 2023 Altima? We are just a few months from 2024 come on.

Nissan Altima. The backbone of rental car fleets for at least the past 10 years lol.
And this is where the turbocharged ones think it can beat out the hellcat and use the shoulder to pass people lol
Any new vehicle in this price point that can't include interior LED lights for 1-2$ is cutting way too many corners.
