Nissan shot itself in the foot when they put that Jatco CVT in many of their models. A nice 7 speed ( which they had in their tool belt) or a new 8 speed would have been a better choice.
Drove a 2024 SV trim as a rental. This is the most uninspiring vehicle I've ever driven. Feels ultra cheap, doesn't ride particularly comfortably and the materials feel like they were pulled right out from the budget bin. The CVT makes the engine loudly drone under load and the vehicle feels more sluggish than a 2011 Corolla we once owned. For a brand that advertises 'performance' and 'sportiness', this thing is an embarrassment.

Well, if I'm on the highway doing 65 miles per hour, and have to very suddenly changed lanes, it would be nice to know how the car may react. By the way, you didn't mention the steering feel, and the steering response as well. Most of us will not be driving a car for 1 mile around a dealer's lot.

After a vehicle accident (other guys fault, not my nor my moms fault whom was the one driving my car, a Toyota Prius Hybrid), I got a 2023 Nissan Altima as a Rental, having the choice between the Altima and a Chevy Malibu. The Altima practically convinced me to look into buying an Altima one of these days, I really liked it. The only big complaint I really had was #1 I don't like the fact that there isn't a rear window windshield wiper & #2, I'm not too crazy about the steering wheel but it was easy enough to overlook. So the one thing I hope that Nissan does in the future is just simply put a rear window windshield wiper on it. I don't understand why there isn't one already, it's kinda stupid to not include one.
Nissan actually forces anyone who want a very important accessory, AUTO BRAKE HOLD, to move up to this SLTrim, which can cost anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000 more than the SR. The SR Trim does not have Auto Brake Hold. I wanted to purchase the SR Altima, but without the Auto Brake Hold, I will wait for the 2024 Hyundai Sonata.
