  • Another alarm test! This is a wheelock 7002-24, otherwise known as, "a massive pain in the butt". This thing is broken in the weirdest way, it doesn't work unless the leads exiting the back face towards the left side.

    even though it’s broken... I would literally marry that fire alarm!!!

    To fix the leads, I'd suggest re-soldering them. If the pads are messed up, you can always make new ones by scratching the thin film off the tracks to expose the copper, and soldering directly to that.

      I have the next test planned out, but I do plan on doing a system of bells at some point within the next couple of tests.

    Have you tried checking the connection on the leads? You might consider resodering it.

    Aren't they only work on continuous?

      The horn is coded according to what the panel is coded to. Since it sounds immediately when power is applied, it can be coded using basic relay circuitry and, in the case of code 3, a system sensor sync module.

    Do you know why the 7002t skips?

    • @FrostedStrobes
      @FrostedStrobes  4 года назад +2

      The strobe and the horn are wired in series. Every time the strobe fires, the horn loses power for a moment, causing it to drop in pitch.
