How is dating a white women helping the black community? U want to talk about self hate white media and trauma, rap music and gun violence, record labels and the judicial system sending out criminals to groom kids knowing they want be punished that bad.
If u want to talk about black economy u can easily find how many black towns and area's was massacred while not getting land that was owed or reparations.
I mean clearly if u can't get passed not being able to date them wtf else is there to talk about that same race doesn't stop sun down towns and the kkk and crooked police/judicial system.
It's not even like we preaching some reverse kkk stuff we just saying love yourself and teach each other the importance of loving themselves which u as a person aren't obligated to follow u can do whatever u like but don't get mad when there's push back.
U don't see the problem and other people do so it's just gonna be that.

I mean that isn't a good argument. You can say there will always be a more pertinent issue compared to any talking point but that doesn't negate the validity of said talking point/present matter being discussed. Homelessness crisis is huge but you can make the argument child trafficking and gun control are much more important. Does that mean you shouldn't discuss the homelessness crisis at all until child trafficking ends and gun control is fully passed? As humans we can talk about a multitude of issues with varying degrees of significance.

That by itself is completely understandable. If a black man and Black woman love each other and want to build something together that is well within their right to do so, But what does that have to do with Black men who have white women as spouses? Why are they being dragged in the mud for simply loving each other? If a black man and a white woman come together, start a family, build something for that family, and give back to their community, that is generational wealth
If a Black man and an Asian woman come together, start a family, build something for that family, then spread that wealth to their community, that is generational wealth. Fucking someone who looks just like you and getting some money together is not the thing that will uplift the black people. Beyonce and Jay-Z are doing that, and Will and Jada are doing that. The one and only thing that will uplift the black community is if we stop dividing ourselves over arbitrary differences like who we choose to love and what they look like, and start giving back to our communities, teach our children their worth and how to build for themselves, and how to lead the way. We don't need to huddle together like rats and run back to Africa to do that, we can do it here, and Now. Love and salutations, my nigga. @@marcus4398

I date interracially but wanting to date within your own race is in no way racist.
In fact, MOST people date within their on race. Black pride isn’t racist due to the historical context of black people being seen as inferior. (And alot of ppl still see us as inferior) it’s about being proud of being black DESPITE other peoples negative feelings of our blackness.
I’m not sure what race you are but if you want to have pride in your race or culture, I promise you know one is going to “cancel” you.

Theoretically speaking, dating solely within race (assuming you're still having healthy not forced relationships) benefits the community as whole by raising children in a home where they see people that look like each other loving, existing and building together. In modern day society, it's normalized to have single parent households. Due to alotta trauma in our bloodlines and history, we're considered to be very divided to the point where we have to come up for a term when 2 black people are in love, Black Love. Theres no such thing as white love, rican love or asian love. I believe it's because they have a much more family oriented community AND history. Obviously theres an exception to every rule, however, none of those other races/ethnicities are plagued with the single parent/broken home stereotype the same way we are. Sure we may not directly inspire/affect those around us, but as the generations come and go, relationships within race will strengthen and thats how the community benefits from this in the long run

Accurate. You have black people who have 0 problem with interracial relationships taking offense to the argument that they can't pro-create or marry outside of their race and be pro-black. You can't. You look at Diana Ross's family and out of the many grandkids she has, only one is black and that grandkid comes from the one fully black child that Diana had (with Berry Gordy). The others are white passing who come from one of Diana's mixed children and their white spouse, which means that the white passing grandchildren will more than likely marry white or non-black.
All it took was two generations for Diana Ross's bloodline to have the black flushed out. Her lineage in the next few generations could very likely be unquestionably white, which means that all of what she inherited as a black woman, coming up in the era that she came up in especially, will all go back to white people. That is not pro-black. Idk why that is hard for people to understand. No one is telling people to not date outside of their race, but you can't do so (especially with a white person) and be pro-black period.

Why exactly are we putting so much stock in what Umar has to say about mixed couples? Does he pay your bills? If not, then do whatever you want. If you want to date out, date out. Just make sure you're doing it for the right reasons. The world is a large place full of romantically compatiible people you haven't met yet, and there's a strong chance that some of them ARE NOT black, and that's OK.
Also, being pro-black and dating outside your race are not mutually exclusive ideas, nor does being pro-black mean "anti-white". Being pro-black means allowing ALL black people to express their own individual blackness, which may include dating out.

    • @getinloser666
      @getinloser666 8 месяцев назад +11

      It wasn’t.
The discussion was based on buddy on the right saying that he contributes to the Black community and allegedly, even more so than Dr. Umar.
The discussion is also about being pro-Black and if dating a White partner can still be considered under that same umbrella.
Being with a Black partner as a Black person reinforces self-love and acceptance in far greater numbers than any other pairing.
      Why?
Familiarity and a greater affinity for cultural compatibility. We are literal counterparts designed to be together due to our similar genetic pool.
When you have that relationship it forces you to see your own as worthy; which is the direct opposite of how we’re told to feel about each other and explains the ideological and literal distance between us.
If you’re dating a White woman, it would be a falsehood to claim you’re pro-Black because the obligations and interests of Black and White society are intrinsically opposed to each other.
Moving out of one means focusing on the other and staying there.
That’s how it works in America due to Europeans poisoning each others minds and committing horrific actions for absolutely no reason, then demonizing us when they can’t kill us openly in most of the country.
White partners in Black pairings are notoriously known for not doing ANYTHING consistent worth noting for the Black community. This is what Umar is saying.
That White woman more than likely feels no obligations to Black people outside of you or another potential partner.
      Want proof?
Break up with that partner and check back later to see how much good they’ve done for Black people in your absence.
The answer will be: not much.

@@getinloser666 1. What exactly is “pro-black” and who decided what’s pro-black or not?
      2. Why is “self-love” determined by who I date and marry? Isn’t self-love determined within?
      3. What cultural commonality does a black American have with a black Cuban or black Nigerian? Wouldn’t a black American have more cultural commonality with a white or Asian American than any non-American group?
      4. Why must I marry someone of the same culture? What if a black person grew up in white culture and has more in common with them? By your logic, shouldn’t that person marry a white person?
      5. How does having similar genes mean that you are designed to be together?
      6. Why is “self-worth” determined by who I date and marry? Isn’t that determined within?
      7. What are the interests are black and white society and how they opposed? Who determined the interests of white and black society?
      8. You mention that the white partner doesn’t do anything for the black community but what does the average black person do for the black community? Why does the black community expect or need other people’s help to get ahead? Why can’t they develop their talents and work hard to get ahead?
      9. I’m still confused of how being pro-black (whatever that means) is determined by who you date and marry. If Martin Luther King and Malcolm X had white wives and still accomplished everything they did, they wouldn’t be pro-black to you? Why?

    • @getinloser666
      @getinloser666 8 месяцев назад +6

@@James-pl5uc 1. Pro-Black means hyper-focusing on ONLY Black interest and progress. People heavily nuanced in intersectionality, race and history; like most Black revolutionaries, have set the stage for what pro-Black perceptions are.
      2. Who you choose to date indicates tastes and interests. For example, when someone states they have a “preferred” racial group; yet that person isn’t a related member of said group, it reveals that you are presuming, with no real world cultural interaction, that EVERY member of said group carries these attributes you seek. That’s inherently a generalization and therefore, racist.
In terms of self-love, theoretically you absolutely determine your self worth, however with the advancement of technology and the rise of social media, we obviously understand that’s not true. This becomes even more so, when you realize that not every group receives equal visibility in general. We live in a White world that’s constantly telling us that’s the only thing that’s attractive.
      3. Surprisingly, yet not at all, there’s a lot of cultural solidarity with Black Americans and other Black groups globally because Black Americans set the tone for Blackness. We’re heavily borrowed from and that’s because those Nigerians and Black Cubans are African by blood. There’s some things you can’t shake no matter how many centuries of separation there are.
If you want to be more direct in terms of culture relations; why would there be a direct correlation if you’ve already acknowledged they’re two separate cultures that originate from two different places? Of course if you live within the same space as other non-Black minorities, you will share commonalities. However, our similarities exist only on a very micro scale.
That’s the exact reason whenever people talk about race relations and our differences, someone always ends up saying “but we’re all American.” It’s an attempt to avoid discussing our obvious differences on multiple levels, so people don’t feel like they’re “the oppressor”. It’s intentional blissful ignorance that will make the problem worse and boil over inevitably.
      4. Who said you MUST do anything? None of us actually care who you date because the moment you do, you’re simply a non-factor. Why? Because odds are, you’re not dating that White person and living around more Black people than White. It’s not realistic unless you’re dating a White girl with a blaccent. Why? Because that’s how proximity works. We usually look for people who look like us by default. That’s literally everyone.
When we date and include other people who don’t look like us in our proximal spaces, yet also exist within said space; we must compromise. I’ve seen this “compromise” look mostly like a Black person desperately trying to move to a White suburb. Have you ever seen a normal Black person with a soul in a suburb? No.
If you we raised culturally White and only around White people, although incredibly unfortunate and very questionable, it would make sense that you’re a non-White individual who is interested in White partners.
However, the issue is that usually isn’t the case as we commonly see. Most people’s reasoning for dating out (as seen online) is usually based in some bad experience that was extrapolated onto a broader group or feeling unaccepted by their on community.
The dumbest argument i’ve seen was that “there are more Black women than men, so it’s fine” or “go where you’re appreciated”. If you have to literally get anti-lynching laws and the CROWN act passed, where exactly are you appreciated?
      5. Two Africans make an African. Two White people make a White person. Two Asians make an Asian. How are you confused???
      6. You already asked that question and I already answered it.
      7. Another horrible question that completely ignores the very existence of Chattel slavery, Jim Crowe laws and segregation. Black and White values have been opposing since Whites decided we were subhuman enough to be stolen from our home and used for labor, sex and a plaything.
History determined the interests of Black and White society. You’re also forgetting that parents pass on ideology through generations. It doesn’t matter that slavery happened centuries ago, we’re still suffering from it and so is our global perception as a result.
      8. The average Black person does more for the Black community and does then ANY White person would EVER feel obligated to; despite their “White guilt” and “empathy”. To pretend as if Black people, and even, Black celebrities do NOTHING for the Black community is anti-Black propaganda pushed by White media and perpetuated by other ethnic groups.
In my lifetime, I’ve been helped selflessly by more Black people than White people. I grew up as an emotionally intelligent Black child in a wealthy suburb that THANKFULLY chose not to assimilate outside of who I am and that has benefited me far more than any alternative action.
Onto the next terrible question. If Black people are already disadvantaged and HAVE tried tirelessly for generations to utilize every tool in their arsenal to gain upward mobility, yet still haven’t, is your claim that they just haven’t done ENOUGH? If that’s your angle, it would be better to assume you’re speaking from a malicious place because if those are your genuine thoughts given the vast amount of documented evidence; you’re insulting your own intelligence.
      9. The more time you spend away from those that look like you; the less of an obligation you feel toward them. Even if they’re your own people. That’s how assimilation works.
The Black experience in America is INCREDIBLY unique on so many levels that even when we look at the diaspora, we can’t always relate to other Black groups.
In fact, for example you see it commonly in families that send their children off overseas to places like Europe or America for “higher education”.
“Higher education” is what the White people get and that’s where these people send their kids. Then, when these children actually DO end up with some form of success; they don’t typically come back and end up with some White partner. This happens INCREDIBLY frequently; to what statistical level, i’m not sure.
Malcolm X and MLK didn’t have White partners because they understood that progress for Black people isn’t an inclusive club that everybody gets into. That allowing foreigners to fight your cause would muddy the waters of focused advancement. It’s the same reason we “vet” “allies” today because our reasonable distrust towards any non-Black person who claims to be empathic. They understood that we have no allies and if we did; we wouldn’t have stayed enslaved for over four centuries and counting. The Civil Rights movement was a plea for visibility; not White acceptance.
I love Black women because I want a Black family. Because I can see myself in that child. I can raise that child around other boys, girls and ma’s and pa’s who are strong and want to protect him. I can raise that child without fear that the community around him won’t understand him or his Humanity. It’s simple for me, so I don’t hop fences for a better life. I will build my future around my people because I love my people and that’s what I want. If I have all these feelings, then dating out isn’t an option. I’m not so starved for human interaction that i’m willing to compromise my values for a non-Black woman; it wouldn’t happen.
      --
You’re pretending as if ANYONE can force you to stay within the confines of what you know. If you want to date out, do it. But, don’t hop online after you’ve claimed “happiness” on the other side. Make peace with your choice and live your life.

@@getinloser666 1. Okay, but you haven’t established how a person’s choice of a spouse is relevant. If I am single and work on pro-black causes and everyone agree I work on pro-black causes and then one day, I marry a non-black woman and do the exact work I have been doing before, why would that one act cause me to be not pro-black?
Why should I focus only on helping only blacks? If a white person is poor and struggling, i shouldn’t help him because he’s white? Isn’t that racist? If every group only focuses on the well being of their own group in America won’t that lead to interethnic conflict?
      2. But what if I don’t have a “preferred racial group”?What if I just want to marry a woman who looks good and is nice to me regardless of race? I don’t see how the rise of social media means that your self-worth is not determined within.
      3. Black groups around the world see black Americans as a separate group. It’s a uniquely American idea that skin color should be relevant. Blacks, whites and every other group outside of America divide themselves by tribe, nationality, religion and language. The idea that blacks around the world share a unique bond by skin color is nonsense that only black Americans believe. To black groups outside of America, you are just American.
      4. A lot of what you wrote is unsubstantiated and sounds bad. How exactly would you know if there is any compromising? Why would it be unfortunate for a black person to live culturally and only around white people? Would it be bad to you if a white person lived culturally and only around blacks? A lot of this pro-black logic sounds racist and hyper obsessed with skin color, which is why I don’t associate with it.
As for reasons for dating out, no one needs to provide any reason for who they date and people can date people for any nonsensical reason they want. A lot of black women date violent thugs because they have “swag” and an edge and hardly anyone criticizes them for it but then if a black man wants to non-black women, he has to justify his decision to a bunch of strangers?
      5. You didn’t answer my question. Why do you need to marry someone of similar genes? You can be of any skin color and be an African or Asian; those adjectives are not the same as skin color.
Despite being “pro-black”, ironically, you have a very Americanized view of the world. All Africans, Asians, whites etc. do not see themselves as the same group and they never have. Black Americans have far more in common with white Americans than any non-American group. Aside from similar skin color, you have hardly anything in common with non-American black group; you can talk to African immigrants and they will tell you the same thing.
      7. No, I’m talking about 2024, not 60 plus years ago. How are black and white interests in 2024 opposed? There are very few whites who have the exact same view of race as whites of 100 years ago or even 50 years ago. While some notions may be passed down, it simply not true that entire ideologies of race get passed down from generation to generation.
      8. The average black person doesn’t do anything for the black community. I never said that black celebrities don’t do anything for the black community. But if they don’t, then that’s fine. You are not obligated to help someone just because you have a similar skin complexion. Whether you have been helped more by blacks or whites depends on the environment you have been raised. More whites have helped me than blacks. As far as blacks and upward mobility, there are too many successful blacks in America to believe that blacks can’t succeed.
      9. You didn’t answer my question so I will ask it again. If Martin Luther King and Malcolm X had white wives and still accomplished everything that they accomplished, they wouldn’t be pro-black to you?
Anyway, you are too Americanized and the vast majority of blacks and people in general outside of America will not understand or agree with your mentality.

@@James-pl5uc You can re-read every single point that I’ve written out; this time with a little more nuance.
I’m starting to wonder what your ethnic background is based on the way you’ve written some of your responses. The reason i’m bringing it up is because clarifying a detail like that, in a conversation relating to race, will reveal PLENTY.
My responses to your initial questions remain the same and will remain the same. They are thought out based on what I have heavily studied regarding the perpetual use of current and archaic systems to disadvantage Black people as a collective, regardless of social class. These systems and the same group of people that run them have been in place for 400 years, yet get slightly altered to account for the intelligence of each upcoming generation; as well mitigate the obligatory nature of said system.
What we need as Black people is emotional, mental and social independence from a predominantly White society that tells us “you aren’t enough, until you’re us”. Freedom once again from the non-stop subliminal brainwashing that Black people are forced to witness in everyday passing and the promotion of our own children to drown out the noise of self-hatred.
If you couldn’t parse what being pro-Black means based on that simple paragraph; you’re either a fool or 🦝, however, I see no difference or color, in this regard.
We are being harmed in a system that was not designed for us because we refuse to assimilate and we never will. So it’s time to move ahead and seek alternative options and spaces for my people adversely affected by a predatory Constitution.
If you don’t see the effects of said system and have benefited greatly from the misfortune of others within it; i’m glad you share no relation to these spaces, but there are plenty of people that do.
Overall, you seem incredibly hyper-focused on defining what being pro-Black entails rather than doing much thinking outside of that framework; so it would be much easier to say you don’t like Black people or their skin color and want to date White women/the rest of the planet. It’s much easier that way and much more honorable than cunning.
I care about and plan my future with my lineage. I care about specifically having Black children because those Black children have a home and two ancestral lands that they are entitled to. That’s far more than what most people even begin to care about when having a baby. What do you prioritize? “Good hair”?
I’m not really sure what being “Americanized” means accounting for the fact that we’ve already established that our entire conversation stems from the inequities of American society based on race and ethnicity.
From that alone I know you’re hard-stuck on a pre-existing narrative and aren’t really interested in changing your opinion, but rather interacting with the opinions of others to fuel your feelings. Americans don’t have a “central” identity and never have. The ones that believe that are xenophobes overseas.
My resolve is simply greater than yours, so you can alter nothing about me. Glean over my initial statement, take in the legitimate experiences of others and read until starts making sense. That’s my only advice.
Thank you for the entertainment of conversation, but we simply have differing views and that should simply be accepted.
