- So, you wanna make a pngtuber? Here's a quick and easy guide that shows you everything you need to make one. I try to explain as clearly as possible and provide a few tips to simplify the process for everyone. question. what do u need to install on obs to add the alertbox etc etc
That depends on which OBS program you're using.
For Streamlabs OBS just go to "Sources" and add "Alert Box"
To change your alerts go to the bottom left of Streamlabs, open the "Dashboard" dropdown menu and select "Alert Box Settings". From there you just set up what you want them to look like and it will automatically update in Streamlabs once you save any changes. (It also lets you test them there as well.)
In OBS Studio go to "Scources" and add "Browser"
You then need to go to the site Streamelements.com (You will need an account but can log in with either twitch or youtube if you want.) Then create a new overlay or element and set up your alerts. Once you've set them up make sure to hit save in the upper right corner and click the "Copy URL" or "Preview" button
Go back to OBS Studio and open the properties of the Browser source you made, paste the link into the URL section and it will add whatever you setup in StreamElements
Slobs won't pick it up because "specific window is not a game"
Sometimes this happens when Streamlabs is open before the other program. Another issue could be if you have Streamlabs open as administrator or if multiple things are open as administrator.
If game capture isn’t working, then you can switch to window capture, and it should work fine.

how to you get rid of the green or grey background lines around your png?
In the "Sources" section click on the gear for the source of your png to open the source properties. Click "Allow Transparancy" and it should remove the outline
i cant find the gaming capture on streamslab- ;-;
Click on the plus sign next to the "Sources" section. Game capture will be under the "General Sources" and has a game controller as it's icon. If you can't find it or it doesn't work you can also use the "Window Capture" option instead.
Make sure Veadotube is open so that Streamlabs can find the window and that the model will show up

Does the program work with a stream deck?
It does. Just set up the appropriate hotkeys however you like.
Do be aware though that some games or other programs may get priority over veadotube if they are opened in administrator mode. I recommend opening the program under administrator just so it has priority. That way the hotkeys should have no interference.
I am not seeing a "capture specific window" option, is this a premium exclusive feature ?
nvm just found it but it is still not working for me :(
to elaborate, whenever I set it to one window it will change both of my game captures to the game...
OKAY I figured it out myself, turns out both game captures were somehow the same window ?? idk how that worked but. it's fixed now tysm for the tutorial :D !!

For future reference when you add a new game capture from the “Sources” menu it shows you a list of “Existing Sources”. If you pick one of those you can end up with 2 of the same source, then they both capture the same window. Whenever you want to add a new game capture just make sure to check the “Add new source instead” option at the bottom of the pop-up window so it can capture a different window than your other game capture.
Is there a way I can add multiple for friends
If you’re referring to having multiple avatars that you can switch between, there is a save and load feature to easily go between them.
But if you want multiple avatars at a time, sadly the program can only have 1 set at any time.
However, if your friends all set up their avatars on their own in their own version of the program you can add them to a video call or stream. Here’s a guide on how to do that from the makers of veadotube - veado.tube/help/mini/vdo-ninja/
