    I read an article about Aussie feral cats “evolving “ into bigger cats. They showed a striped one like you shot there. Nice work, cheers!

      Interesting topic . . the feral cats in Oz do grow huge . . all the raw meat , one of our party shot a huge one on the Marrakie plains NT . . on outback stations , out stations . . on old homesteads not used as often . . the cats that bred up , went up in the old homestead tree's . . cat tree's full of feral cats , up there like goats

    Love your videos. How many rounds you figure you have through that barrel of your Ruger M77 30-06?

    • @HuntingwithStu
      @HuntingwithStu  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks mate, wow that is a good question. There are some years where I shoot over 100 rounds through that rifle and other years where I shoot only 20 or 30 rounds. I bought the rifle in 1992! Sooo lets say 40 rounds average per year = 1,280. Doesn't seem like a lot but this would be close I reckon as I'm also shooting other rifles n guns as well.

    Run out of ammo 😮 Lol I so wish your Government would give you the hunting freedom's we have (in some states) semi auto really helps with pest control. But until it affects them personally they don't care. They have attacked people and killed in suburban areas here, just last year woman walked out her front door hog attacked and killed her before she had a chance to get back inside. Sorry for the downer good trip old friend by now you should have boxes of tusk from the trip's of yester years. LoL I only kept one European mount, Wife even made me discard it only hung in the garage. Better hunting next trip my friend lol keep that ammo loaded.

      @@benwinter2420 Been charged by two 80lb hogs in a crisscross with a 12 ga and still felt under gunned while squirrel hunting. Was not the two that bothered me even though I just dusted them it was the football size gonads on the biggest hog I have seen. Smart is an understatement they know when we are in camp or when no ones home. Timed them on trail camera's leaving our lease upon arrival nearly 3/4 mile away. Took them less than 30 minutes to get innards after each successful hunt caught on trail cam. And three minutes on a Water moccasin I kiboshed under my stand.

    Top darts Stu, how you finding the right hand bolt as I am left handed but only shot RH rifles for 50 years

    • @HuntingwithStu
      @HuntingwithStu  Месяц назад +1

      I actually prefer the right hand bolt on the night shooter as the rifle sits on my shooting stick so I can keep the rifle in the shoulder resting on the stick as I reload with the right hand.

    • @HuntingwithStu
      @HuntingwithStu  Месяц назад

      Bugger, got this one though mate. The 350 L is perfect for the thermal hunting as it is close in shooting and I have plenty of time to take killing shots. Not sure how it would go during the day though.
