To be honest ever since you guys got me into Victory back then, I'm amazed by the products they produce. I love my V30 MkII and my Kraken Preamp. Wish you lots of fun with you new toy 🤘🏻. Stay safe chappers ✌🏻
I've had the V4 Kraken pre-amp pedal for a while now and it's an absolute beast. The only downside is now I don't think I can live without it 😅. It's cracking into the front of a loud clean amp.
I got a "The Jack" a couple months ago because I couldn't get a low gain/barely break up tone with my Peavey Invective, and it is absolutely mind blowing. In fact I think I actually prefer The Jack with high gain pedals compared to my Invective. It sounds incredible. I really wasn't expecting to be blown away.
How are the higher gain settings on The Jack?? I'm stuck between Versatility VS Brutality (The Jack VS The Kraken) and if the Jack has good enough gainy tones I may just go with that and boost for more high gain.
@@Major_Fuzzz I'd definitely go with the Kraken if you're looking for higher gain tones. I dont really have many boosts or high gain pedals to test with the Jack
Pat Quilter and Seymour Duncan have both been offering a similar kind of rig for a few years now. Hell, I bet Harley Benton has something similar for players on a budget.
That kitten is soo ridiculously cute that it sickens me just how much I wanna hold it lol. That’s awesome of you guys to take it in and take care of it and try to find it a good home. You Could just keep it and make it a studio kitty haha....But I just always love seeing people who show compassion and love to animals since soo many are abused and mistreated. Well done and keep rockin’ the F**k out!
I was looking at Victory's products a couple years back for a pedal amp. Bit out of my budget though. Victory had already done the Kraken and then they did a version of their other amp heads. Anyway, long story short, I was after about 5W of practice bedroom amp and that choice came down to either EHX's 5 MM pedal amp or VHT's Redline Micro 6 which is the no reverb 6W version of the VHT Redline series of amps. I had already gotten the VHT V-Four pedal which is the preamp section of the VHT Redline series. So between the 2 pedals, it's a pretty decent little setup when I play it thru a small 1x8 open back or 1x12 closed back cab. On a budget, it's something I can play in the bedroom and have a headphone jack already built into it. Which the EHX pedal amps don't have for a feature. EHX does have their more powerful pedal amps, 16W Howitzer, 22 Caliber & 44 Magnum, seems they like naming their pedals after firearm bullets prior to the Howitzer, which is a military canon. Not sure any of them are Victory micro tube power loud, but they are solid state. If you get a chance take a look into them. The VHT stuff used to be VHT/Fryette Amplification before the Chinese bought it out & Fryette went back to making his own amps. One thing I'd like to try is the Fane speakers, but being USA based, those are pretty rare to find, Eminence & Celestion are readily available in the USA. Fane are rarer drivers.
17 months ago I made a 100w Boss Katana into a pedalboard amp and built in the GA-FC footswitch.... It's immense and so good to use live, Great to see more and more getting in on the act because since then my amp heads have never left the house.
@@Stormwoken well you really wouldn't , the Kat is an amp and the Victory is an amp BUT you could run the Victory "Send" into the Katana "Return" if you wanted to use the Kat as the thing that makes the noise. What I mean is, I took a 100w Katana apart and made it into a floor amp like the Victory but also fitted the GA-FC footswitch to make an all in one unit ... it's on my channel.
