This is so inspiring to me!! Especially to see another woman in this space - honestly EVERY video I’ve seen on RUclips and Instagram about the real estate photography/videography business has been from a man, no offense intended towards Eli and everyone else when I say this because of course I’ve gained value from them all, it’s just refreshing to hear from a woman for once! To hear her success story, pushing through the fear and discomfort. I needed to hear this!
ROCK STAR!! I can vouch for Colleen, I was seated right behind Tim and Colleen at Elis Miami REP conference. During break outside, they flat out said we are brand new just getting started. I am located in South Florida and whenever I have listings in fort Myers I give them a call. Recently I had a property for one of my agents that needed to be done and they were booked up a week out so could not fill the order but none the less I was very happy and excited to hear that because it shows how far they have came in such a short time. Colleen, well said, well done and congrats on your success. In my book you are a true shining rock star.
So glad I got this video in my email! I'm only halfway through, but thought I would comment some things I've been pondering below. My son is 4 and he goes to school for 3 hours Mon-Fri...so my timeframe kid free is small...but I know once he's in kindergarten in August I will have more time to work the business. During the summer he'll be home though..so I'm just trying to figure out how to navigate working the business with a small child. The obvious answer is to get a sitter (we just moved to a new state so we haven't made many connections)..but I'm curious how other parents handle this? I've had a realtor (he's a friend) tell me I could bring my son with me, and although he's a really well behaved kid I'm not sure that is a good idea. I'm trying to find answers to these questions so I can move forward confidently knowing that my availability won't be a hindrance to the business I'm trying to grow.
Usually a sitter is what people do that we've worked with, but not that uncommon to bring a kid along! Being 4 makes it a little harder though cause it's not like you can strap him to your back haha. I would say you could fit a lot of shoots in during those 3 hours tho, so I think starting with that is a great move!
Yeah, saturation can be difficult to navigate...ESPECIALLY in a market (Arizona) where the RE Agents are taking photos of their listings themselves (or their assistant). Homes are literally put on market and taken off within a few days. Its' crazy out here. So, the Agents are telling me it really isn't worth the extra cost to them to hire a photographer/videographer when the homes are selling so fast. I was going to do a shoot, and when I arrived, the Agent was flying his drone around the house. He isn't licensed. I just shook my head...LOL
@@stardustblue3625 I totally understand why people think that, but it just isn't true if you look at the data. Looking on Zillow the vast majority of the homes in Phoenix and Tucson where I looked have been professionally shot. Plenty of business to go around, you just have to go get it! Hit the Instagram Method that I teach hard - that never doesn't work if you work it! If you let me know your specific market in AZ I would be happy to take a look for you though!
Business points brought up. 1. commit. 2, be authentic, 3. go to open houses. 4. get core loyal customers by networking. The rest is inspirational propaganda. 23 minutes of yap. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
Propaganda? 😂 please, go take your tin foil hat negative self to someone else’s channel. Eli has plenty of free, valuable training in this channel. More than most people provide for free. We can have a video interviewing a student of ours every now and then! Propaganda, lmao, that’s a new one 🤦♂️🤦♂️
