drive.google.com/file/d/1HUaultXmZlpYBKyWMyEhHQfMDab7xdLW/view?usp=sharing Here is the file uploaded to google drive for those of you who can't load up and have the game create the wolfconfig file. Hope this helps. You will have to do the fix in the video still to the file.
Glad it helped you out mate, annoying how much searching I need to do normally to find fixes for these things. Thought it would be easier to make videos so I don't need to spend my time hunting or rediscovering the wheel haha.
< /seta r_mode "-1" unsafe > Was what I was looking for! helped me for Wolf:ET :) What I did in console: /seta r_mode -1 /seta r_customheight 1440 /seta r_customwidth 2560 /seta r_customaspect 1 /vid_restart Thank you for the upload! Erik aka Norseman.
Yeah its annoying some of these things. I made the video to help people but also so next time I wanna play this game I can just watch my own guide on how to do it again lol.
Years later for the life of me I always run into this issue, I could have a brand new computer and freshly install Steam and the game won’t start… I even looked into my directory and can’t find Wolfconfig to even change my directory
Perhaps the Wolfconfig file is only created when you can successfully load it up the first time? Can you install on a friends computer and try copying the file over if you can get it to load?
If you need tonight after I finish work I can reinstall and send you that config file via google drive or copy and paste the text to you for you to put in your own notepad document?
drive.google.com/file/d/1HUaultXmZlpYBKyWMyEhHQfMDab7xdLW/view?usp=sharing Here you go mate, I reinstalled this afternoon and loaded it up the first time to create the file. You will still need to follow the guide to set it up properly and set your own settings but hope it helps :)
I haven’t yet watched this video, but I’ve been trying every fix there is and can’t find a way to play in 3440x1440 (without the FOV being off). I don’t want to play RealRCTW or Venom to do it either.
@@anemicroyalty8764 I haven't messed with resolutions that high unfortunately sorry mate. Might be one of those cases where it's not possible on the vanilla engine, but I can't say for sure. I'm only using a cheap 1080 at the moment so can't test it really either. If you find a solution though post it back here in case anyone else is trying to do it. Best of luck my friend
@@SPINCTDAILY Thanks! I can get 3440x1440 to work with ioRTCW, using “Automatic (Native)”, but you can only see the top of the weapon. I can play in 2560x1440 with bars on the side with other mods. No big deal.
Did you load the game once and then try to edit your own config file or use the one I uploaded that I havent edited yet? What operating system are you using?
Did you get to the installation folder via your steam "Browse Files" option as in the video? Have you installed steam on a second hard drive (as in installed steam on a hard drive that windows isn't installed on)? Have you tried a search function on your computer for the file? Let me know I'll see if I can help.
drive.google.com/file/d/1HUaultXmZlpYBKyWMyEhHQfMDab7xdLW/view?usp=sharing I uploaded the file to help people out, hope this helps you guys out even if its been a year.

@@SPINCTDAILY oh that's great man gl!! :D
finally a guide for an old game that actually works. you'd think you would have to have a degree for NASA the way some people make fixing old games
