A politician who refuses to speak to journalists has something to hide. Gianforte shunned Lewis twice and spoke to him only reluctantly the third time. And he couldn't wait to get away from him. The very purpose of the journalistic establishment is to hold politicians (from all parties) accountable. If you don't want to be held accountable, stay out of politics.

It wasn't just awkward, it was deliberately provocative, & more than a little threatening. The implication being that Paul looks like an Arab. I feel that if the camera wasn't running he would have questioned, "are you a muslim?"

Things like Black History Month only exist because minority groups were excluded for so long. If everyone had been included equally, the need for them to make their own wouldn't have been neccessary.
I can't speak for black americns, but I imagine that because a whopping two black people in high positions hasn't eliminated prejudice or people, as a group, feeling excluded. It certainly has helped though, so if we continue down this path in due time they may become non-existent owing to not needing to be anymore.

I really like the interview style - pleasant, about people’s views, and letting people express their stories and concerns. I also admire the interviewers nerve to stand up to people being openly rude and hostile. But asking a tough question in a polite and charming way seems to get an answer more often than it doesn’t. While it’s fairly clear that the reporter has a more liberal/socialist type view of the world, the videos seem as close to neutral and objective as you can get and it’s really nice to be able to have some empathy with people who have opposing viewpoints. I think if more journalism was like this people wouldn’t be as upset if an opposing politician won the vote to govern their area.

Quist was born and raised in Montana and has been repping his state for his entire life (one of his groups is literally named "The Montana Band"). He was in his late 60's at the filming of this segment.

Those words are effectively synonyms.
They are very often used as synonims, but they are in fact not. For example if 2 Jewish people from Israel moves to Morocco, gives birth to a baby who grows up there. His citizenghip is Moroccan, his nationality is Jewish. Another example, some countries lets you add your nationality to your passport. For example Lithuania. Lithuanian passport holders have passports where there is "nationality" and you can put whatever your nationality is (most popular being Polish, Russia, Ukrainian, German). You could have never visited said countries, but since your parents were from there your nationality is that.
