I mean I can’t imagine, new parades and festivities every single day for an entire month. YES! Totally reminds me of the rose parade in Pasadena🌹Good memories for sure! Great vlog of the Flower Festival. You're lucky that you got a great spot for the flower festival. I remember back in 2017 or 18 my first flower fest, it was crowded. But not too crowded and also we saw the Korean community at the parade. I'm glad they brought Panagbenga back, I can't wait to be there. I miss the cold crisp air there and even at March the temperature there is around at the teens.

The sun coming up and the crisp cool air hitting you. Ahhhhh feels magical🇵🇭🌼

    # 2 husband here - we were in Cebu - 1979 - 1980 and we saw the First Sinulog parade, what there was of it because it was pretty small. We had
    no idea it would become one of the biggest parades in the PH in the years to come. We did go in person to see it. We got to some spot in the street with
    a little shade, saw they start and I guess we stayed at least 5 hours. There were still marchers who had not even started yet and they had been waiting for
    so many hours. I think it is way too big now and the young folks should not have to be out in the sun that long, even locals can get heat stroke.

      @MomDuty  10 месяцев назад +1

      Wow! I was born in 1982. Had no idea there was a Sinulog parade back then. How incredible for you to see the first one and to see it grow to what it is now. I really want to go this coming year but not sure if it’s ok for me to bring the kids. I heard it’s very crowded but super beautiful🇵🇭

    • @janetceniza8091
      @janetceniza8091 10 месяцев назад

      Crowded is hardly the word - try super too many folks. Safe for kids as long as they don't wander - getting close enough to park can be very hard. Do you want to stand along the street some where or opt for the
      riser seats for a price - not too expensive., but you are some what trapped there. It is also on my birthday or within a day or two. Jan. 18th I will be 81. Your meet & say HI time maybe be at the same time ? Hotels fill up fast during this week. @@MomDuty

    Kind of it's the tip of the iceberg of festivities, the thousands will be on April and May so don't miss the Mango festival of GUIMARAS with the eat all you can Mangoes.
    The fresh strawberries you can pick from the vines, fresh produce that supplies veggies of the whole Luzon and Whole Manila. The violet and WHITE ube jam and if you fancy some horrors, the Ghost trail of Baguio will give you real shivers to the bone.

      @@MomDuty The Mango Festival in GUIMARAS, ILOILO CITY at the Visayan region of the Philippines. In Baguio fresh strawberries you can pick on a farm tour, the place you are staying might know that and help you to visit a Strawberry farm and eat them fresh from the vine or plant itself.
      Every city has a Department of Tourism, every listed Festivities of the region they might have those lists.

    We stayed at he Hyatt hotel right before the 1990 earthquake. 2 or 3 days after we left the hotel, the earthquake hit n the hotel collapsed. We were suppose to stay in that hotel at the time of the earthquake but for some reason we changed plans n headed to Baquio city early but had to leave early. God was watching over us. That was one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed in! It had a spectacular view at all 4 corners of the hotel. Hotel had no AC. Always nice n cool. I fell in love with that city but haven't been there since. It's been 33yrs. I plan to visit in the near future ☺️
