I had major issues with the migraine and nausea issues with dream light valley but let me tell you, after the update that let's you disable the camera shake and flashes, I haven't had a single migraine of nausea spell since. I hope it gets better for you soon! I can't stop playing it and definitely look forward to playing every day. 😁
Omg I might need to try playing again!!! This makes me so happy they are addressing this issue. Thank you for letting me know- I’ve had major fomo about this game especially with the new Holiday update. Thank you for watching!
@@keahjohnsen8165 no, unfortunately it still bothers me. I’ve been playing Palia and I have the same issue- so I have to take a lot of breaks. I just can’t do open world games. 😭
Hey, I just found you a few days ago and I want to thank you for making me feel OK about being obsessed with my little cozy games at 33. I’ve been playing the Sims since the first one came out. I am a big game or my dad and brother play games so I always have too and as I got older I got into some bad habits, and now that I’m back to living a good sober life I got back into gaming heavy and I even thought about steaming or talking about my games on Social media more but I felt I was too old and fuck that lol I’m proud of who i am what I overcame and the fact that I stayed true to me this whole time gaming doesn’t have to stop and you don’t have to stop having pride in what you love, thanks for helping me get here! ❤❤❤
Oh my gosh I’m so happy to hear that! I am almost 40 and still play games daily! There is nothing wrong with it- my grandma always said that you’re never too old for fun. Haha. You should totally start gaming social media- the sims community is so great- so many great people who are all so supportive. The cozy gaming community is also great. It’s such a fun way to share your love of gaming and make new friends. Anyway- thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel. 💜💜💜
I’m 37 years old and a mom of 5 kids and I love video gaming and probably have more video game paraphernalia in my room than my kids do in theirs lol 😂
I am so glad you said this about Night in the Woods. It's been on my wishlist for a while, and I super don't like narrative games like that, so I'm taking it off. Thank you.
What makes Night in the Woods one of my favorite gaming experiences, are: 1. Music ❤ 2. Humor 3. Mae’s (protagonist) quirky and witty personality. 4. Exploration, finding little secrets, funny minigames, story (that takes a dark turn all of a sudden)… Maybe give it another try :) during a spooky autumn season, it might surprise you.
I did find some of the dialogue to be very clever and funny. There were parts of the game I enjoyed and I do see why people like it. It just wasn’t my type of game. It’s super cute though!
I relate to night in the woods soo much, the only “gameplay” was when you had to play with the band or play the guitar.. other than that it was just walking around and talking.
Yeees- I kept waiting for something to happen. Now, any time a game seems like it might be more of a visual novel type, I avoid it. I actually thought Mineko’s night market was like that- so glad I took a chance on that one because it’s definitely not like that.
I’m glad someone else felt the same way haha. I did not get the appeal of that game, but people really love it. I did have to look how it ended online because I was curious, but didn’t want to finish it lol! Anyway, thanks for watching!
Yes definitely agree! I keep finding myself nearly falling asleep out of boredom. Love the characters and initial look of the town. But definitely a game I regret buying over the hype
For me a Cozy Switch Game I regretted buying the most is Hokko Life. I watched the trailer of that game and the villagers were so darn adorable thinking that it’ll make a good alternative to Animal Crossing. However when I got it, I was completely fooled. The villagers’ design look awfully nothing like the trailer I saw, I couldn’t get new recipes that quick and worst of all, no storage space in a game that involves collecting things.
Oh no- that is the worst! I have also bought games hoping it would fill the animal crossing void- and been disappointed haha. Nintendo should just give us updates so we want to play again lol. Thank you for watching!
@@PossumpalzIf you watched the trailer back in 2020 then it got me excited to play it due to the look and art design. Now Team 17 lied to the people who watched the trailer and changed the look of the characters and as a result it sent people running.
Really any kind of open world game does that to me. Palia is another one. Both games have given options to help people with motion sickness, they don’t really work though, which sucks.
I think the camera issue isn't with the camera itself or any of it's angles. The sensitivity for the camera is very high, and while it doesn't give me any issues at all, I think it's triggering those issues with people because of the high sensitivity. I don't know if there is already settings to help that, but if not I hope they add them. If they are, try lowering that sensitivity so the camera is slower. That may help.
I did try some of the stuff that people recommend on Reddit and it didn’t help. But, someone else told me that they made some updates to the camera settings and it helped them- so I am going to try again. The game is just so good, I feel left out lol! Thank you for watching! 💜💜
I don't have a switch, but I was a big fan of animal crossing on my ds back in the day. I'm mainly an Xbox player so when I saw dreamlight added to game pass I was super into it. Played it for days having lots of fun Theeeen... I finished everything, so quick. Everyone is a friend, did all the events, have like 10 mil in the bank. The only thing I was logging on to do was buy things from the store 😅 so yeah. Dreamlight in my opinion is not at all worth the money. Good game, to kill some time if you got it for free like myself, but it's a fast burn, Especially with updates being so few and far between. I haven't even turned it on for the new xmas update because unfortunately for me, it got old real quick
I could totally see that with that game- sometimes these type of games get so repetitive. I’m glad you got it for free on XB pass- my husband told me to just play it on there because it was free, but I wanted all the stuff so I paid for it 🤦🏻♀️ should have listened to him haha. Thank you so much for watching!
I was wondering what was going on with that! My guess is enough people bought it that they were like - what if we just kept charging? Lol- seems like a Disney move.
@@thecozyintrovert I've heard that there are too many bugs and issues that they need to fix before handing out the game for free..but there is no offical information from the developers. Some people think 2024 will it be free to play. But you may also be right, capitalism at its finest 🤷♀️
I haven’t heard of cassette beasts! And yes, I totally regret dream light valley. Now days it goes beyond the camera movements- It just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Thank you for watching!!
This is going to be controversial- but I actually really don't like the most recent animal crossing? For one, I think the villager personalities are worse, but I didn't just buy it, I got the island DLC too, and the reason I did was because I was just desperate to try to more quickly get recipes I didn't have yet. I cannot stress enough, the recipes in that game are /infuriating/. I have two friends to trade with, I tried date jumping day after day for hours, and I still cannot find more than 3 mushroom recipes from the mushroom set. That was my favorite set in the past, and I needed it to make a Wonderland town, but it just so happens that my particular seed doesn't want to spawn 90% of the recipes, let alone the recipes needed to craft other recipes, most of them being the ones I most wanted to have to make those trendy town decor looks. I can't even find the recipe for a simple barrel lmao. Sure, you can call it bad luck, but at this point it just feels like being locked out of a chunk of the game's content for reasons out of my control. I kinda just hope the next AC just doesn't have crafting period, going back to normal AC's style would really just be an improvement to me.
Not controversial at all! I am convinced that each island has some recipes that are near possible to get because they want everyone to buy the Nintendo online and trade. I have restarted my island many times and I will always have a few recipes I can not get!! And it’s always different. I also agree about their personalities being blah as well!
