@TheNetzgeist Thanks for your comment. We are using Japanese traditional bow (Yumi), and riding on Japanese native horses. We are trainig at "SADDLE BACK Farm" in Odawara, Japan.
Thank you for your comment. I started practicing 25 years ago. And at the beginning, I hurt my hands. My skin of the hands became thick now. Keep practicing and please upload your video :)
Cool pictures, thanks for sharing. Is it possible, that you give us a little more informations about the bows, the horses, shooting techniques and the training range?
great video! i am interested in getting into mounted archery and really love the yumi bow. I am having a hard time finding information on them. how do you care for your bamboo bow? when to string/un-string? storage? best way to prevent warping or cracking? what would you recommend for a beginner, traditional bamboo or carbon/fiberglass? also those gloves, love those gloves!
Hello! It is very nice to see where you train without the horse. I should build that kind of horse made of wood! Great thing that You can practise with other people. I usually have to train alone. Great shooting and great video!
This is so awesome and kool. Thank you for posting. What kind of gake is that? Looks morogake? Is it possible to order one? Also, what is your string made of. It's black so I didn't know if it's like a typical hemp tsuru. Keep up the awesome shooting!
Raul Martin Saet Thank you for your comment. These gloves are Kisya-gake. Kisya-gake means the gloves for horseback archery. My Kisya-gake are handmade by myself. My string is not made of hemp. It was painted japan lacquer in order to strongly. Or you can buy it. sambu-kyugu.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_10_25&products_id=911 What country do you live in?
I live in United States - California. I practice with the Southern California Kyudo Renmei. I really wish to learn to shoot with Kisya-gake and on horse.. No idea how to start however. You have amazing videos! thank you for showing.
Thank you for making this video. I enjoyed watching it, on my boring Sunday afternoon...
The draw weight is 16kg. And the draw length is 85cm.

I love this clip. You have got much equipment including wooden horses. That's amazing. Very professional.

I really like those gloves
@TheNetzgeist My bow is made of bamboo and wood. But, there are some persons who are using the "moedern" versions. My bow was made around 1930.

@nogakeyumi Thanks a lot. Maybe i must try it with my horse (1,62 m, a little chickenhearted). And the collection of bows is impressive!
Excellent
@Horsebow Thanks. We need training without horse, too.
Thanks for your comment. Do you know the tsunomi?
@luckyhillarchery Hello. It snowed in Tokyo last night. We are training shooting...
1 without a horse. 2 with a wood horse. 3 with a horse.
You have a good tsunomi
@nogakeyumi Are these bows also made a a traditional way, with natural materials? Or are these bows "moedern" versions of the traditional yumi?

What's the draw weight?
Why don't you use a horsebow?
A horsebow is stronger and better for horseback archery
This is the bow for our hoserback archery.
This is not Kyudo.
これは弓道じゃない!
これは流鏑馬ですよ。
STFU thank you
