Breaking the Magician's Code: Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed is a series of television shows produced by Nash Entertainment in which the closely guarded secrets behind classic magic tricks and illusions are exposed by the Masked Magician, aided by his beautiful assistants.
The enormously popular TV specials and series featured the incognito magician performing large-scale illusions and a few smaller-scale close-up magic tricks... then revealing the secrets of how the tricks were done.
The position of her hand waving clearly shows that she has completely turned around inside the box. Before the reveal I found that strange and wondered what was going on.
Then they did their job.
I still find it magical how the human brain can design such an illusion. Incredible.
That's not the incredible pat. The incredible part is to see how easy you can fool the human brain. Nobody would have believed that this box is deep enough so she can store her feet at the bottom. The human brain works by making assumptions all the time, assumptions based upon what it learned in the past and magic shows us how often those assumptions are totally wrong. Guess how many other assumptions in your life are probably wrong. Guess how many times you didn't try something because you thought "That is never going to work", yet that was just an assumption and it could have been totally wrong.
I always thought she was the hottest of the assistants. Loved it when she was featured.

When they re-appeared the girl, she was out of breath. So you know she had to get back in her original position in a hurry.
As a kid I would get unfathomably aroused watching this show.
you can see the issue with the trick as soon as she sticks her hand out to grab the handkerchief. she is all of sudden facing the opposite direction.

Back then when we were young we wouldn't have catched it. As adults we're less easily tricked

I knew something was dodgy when her hand was reversed from her original position. She had already changed position from right to left.

Not to forget that the second assistant stands in front of the side, where the backside bulges outside, so noone sees it. Trick might though be limited by the cup size of the assistant

I remember watching these episodes of the Mask Magician and enjoyed watching him pull off these tricks even though they're revealed afterwards. I wonder what he has been up to since we haven't seen him in years unless he decided to retire.

Magic is always better with lovely assistants
Something very strange about that drawing. 1:24 The white parts are pure white, no shading at all. Then at 1:58 there is a lot of shading all over, and the shading even appears animated. Compare 1:24 with 1:58, it looks totally different. It's some sort of mechanism that animates the drawing. 2:26 as the plunger is withdrawn you get a dancing animation effect. This is another attempt to give you something interesting to watch and distract you from the outside of the left end of the box.

Yes, and it seems like sort of a superfluous part of the illusion. It's not even useful as a distraction because all the "mischievous and deceitful, chicanerous and deplorable" stuff has already happened!

It was obvious when the hand waving the red hadkerchief was pointing in the 'wrong' direction.
This is the reason the Masked Magician can't employ overweight assistants. For this trick, she can't be too busty either, or things she doesn't want squeezed will be squeezed.

1:20 That's a really odd artistic choice to continue that drawn line straight down the leg and continue out of place over the feet. That must be a strategy to increase interest in the drawing by having something intentionally out of place.

You can see the woman in the box was waving the red cloth with her hand in the opposite direction.
The direction of where her hand was facing gave it away for me. Great illusion, though.
Not so. From 1:32 to 1:56 she waves the hanky with her right hand, her palm facing stage right, thumb away from audience. She could easily do this while facing left if her hand is in the supine attitude.

There is a flaw. One flaw / issue. When the handkerchief is given, the woman is suddenly facing the converse side.
Director Skinner's rapey vibes made me uncomfortable even back when it aired on TV.

You can barely see what looks like a slight bulge that the assistant is trying to hide on the stage right side.

It was quite obvious from the beginning that the face of the plunger was not solid. You could see it was wrinkled.
