Pile 1. I wonder if it's normal that not a single day has gone by that he doesn't cross my mind. There is someone who crosses my mind every day for the last 6 years since we separated (and the 6 years before that when we were in contact). I have come to accept it since I have done everything in my power to fight it. I just let the thoughts come and go now. Sometimes I indulge (like today on this tarot reading) but usually I think of him briefly and move on. It is strange but I realize that I will always think of him, it is what it is.
Pile 3 and I promise to set my expectations as soon as he approaches me. He chickens out as soon as the emotions get real. I have the patience and love but yes, I will not take the inconsistencies anymore. I have cut him out for now and the next time, he approaches, will set clear boundaries and expectations. If he cnt keep his word then I will let him go for sure.

I’m leaning towards a stance of if he shows significant change before coming back and is willing to be vulnerable with me, then I’m willing to take it very slow with him. But I come first, unlike how it was originally. I’ll be sure to set firm boundaries as I deserve to be happy and healthy too.
