And because of those guilds on the old axie game, the token that had value, has its value flushed down the drain. There was no halving mechanism. unlike bitcoin.

A lot of money is being force into the ecosystem to make it a thing, eventually it will but it needs to iron out a lot of issues.
I don't think crypto on its current form is the answer, most coins are heavly flawed and will present issues with scalability and with mass adoption (things like practicality turn most people off.) Some coins are trying to fix it but I don't know if they can 100% succeed.
Right know the bigger problem is the link people make with "NFTs = bad games" due to lazy gamedevs, the same that happened and still happen with "assets flips." But having more restriction is a bad word on crypto world and telling the consumer to stop gambling their money on every project trying to make an easy buck will achive nothing.
We already have some lite version of NFTs with stuff like steam market or skins inside games, it's "just" an extra step of being a true owner of what you earned/payed for.

Honestly great points here. The "lite version" of NFTs does currently exist and I think that's what studios will eventually try to tap into and scale up from there. Most of what we see with gaming NFTs today are on lazy-dev-scam-pump-and-dump side of things. That might change in the future with the big players stepping in.
Like I said in the vid, I don't want a future like that to happen, just like I don't want P2W games to dominate video games, but hey look what we're dealing with today.
