Would make a lot of sense as to how King and Kaido met, how Big Mom knows of his race and how Whitebeard heard of the Lunarians being former Gods, since they were all on God Valley when the Rocks pirate took over the island. Also seems like a random island to keep slaves on...
I totally forgot that there were slaves at God Valley... but if thats the case, the name of the island makes a lot of sense... maybe it was the last refuge of King's race before the celestials rounded out the last of them and took the island for themselves making it God's Valley in both senses... I'd recommend reading the description to make sure you dont get tricked into buying something you don't want.
I'm sure someone else has commented this, but when Zoro was fighting Hachi and Arlong in Arlong Park he was handicapped from his fight with Mihawk. Also in that fight, he was rocketed out of the park and was woken up by a boulder falling on his head. Zoro has always been pulling stupid amounts of weight for the crew.
I picture the Wado as being a physical embodiment of Zoro’s ambitions. part of why it didn’t shatter when Mihawk fought him imo is partly because of his drive being so strong, and this being reflected in the sword that he took up to fulfill both his and Kuina’s dreams. So i feel like if the Wado was gonna break, it would be when Zoro feels like his dreams are out of his reach, or he isn’t capable of achieving them.
with that logic, he might have used haki unknowingly on Wado when Mihawk sliced him, and it may be the first sword to become his Black Sword, and that is exciting me! edit: after reading some other comments, i think Wado is represented as his dream, then the moment it turns black will be the moment Zoro become the strongest swordsman

Idk, I feel like the Enma becoming a black blade would feel kind of cheep because jr would basically be someone else (Oden) leveling up the blade to almost black blade status and then Zoro showing up and finishing the job. Seems kind of boring tbh. I mean, Enma has had a lot more conquerers contact than the Wado Ichimonji. It's like Zoro having Roger's blade which isnt a black blade yet, and then Wado Ichimonji turning black first even though Roger's blade has seen so much more than Wado. I dont think Wado turns black untill Zoro becomes the greatest swordsman. He would have fullfilled his promise to Kuina, and therefor finish the blade. While Enma has fullfilled it's purpose by helping take down Kaido, and thus turn black in Wano. So you can see, while there is an argument to be made that Wado should turn black first, it doesnt make sense. Heck, we might even say that for a blade to become a black blade, they need to finish their imbued dreams. Yoru probably turned black when Hawkeye became the best swordsman. It would explain why Griffin isnt a black blade either. It could explain why Ace might not be a black blade either. So far, there are only 2 confirmed black blades: Yoru and Shusui. Both these blades share something in common that other blades have not: their owners have fullfilled their dreams. Mihawk became the best swordsman in the world, and Ryuuma saved Wano from dragons(I dont think his blade was black before that fight).
I dont know it may take someones life to even allow a blade to be ready to turn black like someone puts all the haki or will power into it something that u cant do if ur alive probably not but thats could be how he turns the wado into a black blade when zoros friend died she imbued all of her latent haki into it and it able to become a black blade
I don't think there is a meter to indicate the progress to become a Black blade. We don't know if Oden came close to making it a black blade or not, so Zoro making it a black blade is not half or partial credit. If Zoro is going to make a black blade in Wano then it is reasonable for it to be Enma than any other blade he possesses I think.
I’ve started watching your videos a few months ago, but this is my first comment ever, so hi Tekking! Really like your idea that King shows Zoro his face out of respect of his sheer power. However I think it’d be even cooler if King took off the mask in the middle of the battle, maybe after a clash that’s so powerful that he must acknowledge that his adversary is worth of being acknowledged. And then they finish the fight like that.
I don't know why but every time I hear foreign RUclipsrs try and pronounce something in Swedish, it brings a smile to my face especially since most of you pronounce it better than I did when learning Swedish. Granted, I was five years old when I moved to Sweden BUT STILL!
With King being a speedy flying enemy I wonder if they’ll make reference to samurai iconography (this is only a guess based on a semi recurring thing I’ve noticed in anime) where a samurai learned to cut the speedy swallow in half down the middle to prove their skill and speed with the blade seen with Sasaki Kojuro in the Fate series I believe but there’s other instances in anime of this not relating to Sasaki Kojuro

Definitely. Wado Ichimonji either needs to turn black, or be broken. Something significant needs to happen with it before the end of the story. That sword is the physical representation of Zoro's promise to Kuina, and the dream of being the greatest swordsman. Yet it tends to sit in the background, when using one sword Zoro tends to use his other swords. Wado Ichimonji needs something to bring it back into the spotlight before Zoro accomplishes his dream.
I could see something like Zoro never goes after King's mask but at the last attack he overwhelms King so much that his mask is completely broken, King stars respecting Zoro like he did with Kaido when he was defeated by Kaido, and out of respect Zoro cover King's face before anyone else sees it, just like Luffy did to Katakuri at the end of their fight.
I think it would be WAY more impactfull if we just didn't get to see kings face. I think that would really add something to Zorro's character and to the series in general.
I like your idea of the fight but I think it would be more symbolic that they respect each other and at the end of the fight Zoro hits him but not the mask but after he falls the mask messes up and falls off then before Zoro passes out he fixes the mask putting it back on his face to help him keep his identity a secret
You know what I can see potentially happening? Despite the focus being on Enma this arc the sword Zoro actually turns into a black blade is Wado Ichimonji. He's only had Enma for like two weeks now, it would be kind of odd if he turned it black before the sword he's had most of his life. I can see it being a thing like he feels his haki permanently imbue a sword but when he looks at Enma it's still the same. Then when he does his finishing move he pulls out all three and realizes it's actually Wado Ichimonji that turned black.

Still surprised zoro is walking he took a top octane yonko double attack and managed to hold it off for a couple seconds, and then continued to try fighting waido and used conquers haki and after like 10 minutes he's fighting again, guy has god tier defense
I think zoro will be close to death, and we'll have a flashback to when zoro first got Emma and how it drained his hakki. After that he'll not only allow Emma to drain him but he'll pump his hakki into the blade shriveling him to almost nothing then with one sword style he'll cut down king with an epic sword slash. This process will turn Emma black.
I can see a luffy/Katekuri situation happening here where somewhere mid match King's mask falls and by the end, out of respect, zoro covers his his face out of respect.
I believe would be sick way to reveal kings face by him going mad angry and gush out flames that would melt even his mask . So indicating the real battle is a bout to start when zoro wears his bandana again after it fell off ... somthing in this context..

Just put this in another comment, but because wado ichimonji is a white sword by theme, perhaps Zoro is able to create a white blade? Through some purification of armament? It would make sense since Zoro and Luffy have been 'equals' in many terms, it would be fitting for Zoro to create another level of armament when Luffy creates one for conquers? Just a out there theory. It would also lead to some cool visuals when it eventually clashes with yoru. Might be a cool video idea tekking
About the Shiryu breaking Wado Ichimonji thing: Personally him being Zoro's final opponent does not feel right to me or rather underwhelming if that means Zoro has beaten Mihawk already at that point. I just hope Mihawk joins Blackbeard or something, that is something that feels very possible to me.
Would we rather have Enma upgrade or Wado? I know Enma forcefully takes the Haki from the wielder, but canonically, Zoro has been pouring Haki into Wado for much longer and has wielded it for so many years. He has so much more experience with it, and it is *his* blade whereas Enma was given to him. I think story-wise, it makes sense to elevate the Wado to Saijo first.
I think obtaining a black blade requires Conquerors Haki, of which Kaido called out. Maybe Zoro will awaken Conquerors Armament Haki to obliterate King

Thus may be a controversial idea, but.... I want King to break one of Zoros swords, namely the Sandai Kitetsu. King already showed he has a Swordbrraker(a sword made tailored to break swords) when he took his two blades in an earlier chapter. And if the kitestsu finally breaks, maybe zorro and tenguyama go to visit ryumas grave and zoror pays his respects to ryuma and in the intermittent period after ward, zoror also pays his respect to tenguyama and the kitestsu which he has used up until it(hopefully) breaks
A swordbraker isn't actually designed to brake swords, it's designed to bind swords. What happens is you catch your opponents sword between the spikes and you twist the blade grabbing on to their sword leaving them open for an attack. It's typically sized like a large dagger and used in the off hand with a short sword in the main hand.
I like the Zoro and King battle that you've pitched, but I feel like it will make him a bit similar to Katakuri and his dynamic with Luffy. King seems more like a savage, someone who wants to get the job done without any regard for anything and anyone, but it's Oda and it could go anyway really. Anyways, always appreciate the content Tekking.

I can see the mask scene being a little more like the Spider-Man train scene, where the mask somehow accidentally gets knocked off towards the end of the battle. We get a look at his face, and then Zoro picks up the mask and puts it back on King out of respect before anyone else finds them after the fight ends. I think that would be really neat
About King's mark being on the left side, I think Oda just likes putting marks on the left side of characters in general I did a bit of googling and some of the characters with scars on the left side of their face: the whole Monkey family (as already mentioned), Zoro, Jinbei, King Riku, Jabra, Weevil, Shanks, Kid, Sentomaru, Thatch, Magellan Magellan also has injuries on his left horn and wing, Aokiji and Kyros lost their left leg, Crocodile, Queen, Shanks and Kid their left arm, Whitebeard the left side of his face, Sanji and Kabaji have/used to have their left eye hidden, Ace, Nami, Kaido and Katakuri have their tattoos on their left arm, Franky's Terminator eye was on the left and Blackbeard and of course good ol' T-Bone are missing teeth on their left side There are of course some characters with injuries on their right side like Akainu, Rayleigh, Cpt. Morgan, technically also Aokiji (but I feel the lost leg is more impactful), Zeff and little Oars jr. (speaking of lost leg) and Jozu (if he's still alive) Both of these lists are of course a lot longer but I feel like Oda has a distinct preference for left side marks, especially around the eye (Also if I missed a lot of characters with marks on the right side feel free to correct me)
Fun fact, the app has attack Zoro used to finish Ryuma was the same attack Ryuma used against the dragon. It would be pretty dope if he used it on king in front of people who would know its Ryuma’s technique, right?
Capybara Facts! Also I don't see the first commanders as being saijo class. I guess we could put Oden in a similar class to Ryuma but he falls short and I feel like Oden could've taken King. First commanders as a whole don't seem to hold up to Mihawk either. Vista can be noted, but he still doesn't have a Kobuto. I think Zoro needs to reach near peak Rayleigh before he could get a Saijo. I do like the idea of King Taking off his mask willingly tho.

He didn't just use Asura Tekking, he used Asura while subconsciously adding Advanced Conqueror's Haki too his attack. Since Advanced Armament and using Armament with Swords are similar to using Advanced Conqueror's Haki the idea is probably already ingrain within him, he just happened to subconsciously flow his (at the time unknown) Conqueror's Haki instead of his Armament Haki like he had probably intended to do.
As cool as it would be to see king and zoro have a moment of understanding, I find it nearly impossible to believe that King would agree to any kind of honor system that zoro offered. It’s just like zoro said, he’s basically a wild beast; do whatever it takes to win.
I think its a possibility that King doesn't want to keep his face hidden because of vanity. Since there are Cipher Pol people on Wano it might be possible, that after Kings face gets shown, a buster call is going to be called on wano, triggering the final war.
Zoro's final attack against King could some how involve King's flame sort of making a one sword style of the version of the Dragon Blaze technique from Thriller Bark (used against Ryuma) for some sort of really double page spread for an epic attack. Also if the Wado breaks he would probably do something like Tanjiro in the fight with Rui for a final technique against whoever breaks the Wado.

Both these blades share something in common that other blades have not: their owners have fullfilled their dreams. Mihawk became the best swordsman in the world, and Ryuuma saved Wano from dragons(I dont think his blade was black before that fight).
I dont know it may take someones life to even allow a blade to be ready to turn black like someone puts all the haki or will power into it something that u cant do if ur alive probably not but thats could be how he turns the wado into a black blade when zoros friend died she imbued all of her latent haki into it and it able to become a black blade
I don't think there is a meter to indicate the progress to become a Black blade. We don't know if Oden came close to making it a black blade or not, so Zoro making it a black blade is not half or partial credit. If Zoro is going to make a black blade in Wano then it is reasonable for it to be Enma than any other blade he possesses I think.

Really like your idea that King shows Zoro his face out of respect of his sheer power. However I think it’d be even cooler if King took off the mask in the middle of the battle, maybe after a clash that’s so powerful that he must acknowledge that his adversary is worth of being acknowledged.
And then they finish the fight like that.

With King being a speedy flying enemy I wonder if they’ll make reference to samurai iconography (this is only a guess based on a semi recurring thing I’ve noticed in anime) where a samurai learned to cut the speedy swallow in half down the middle to prove their skill and speed with the blade seen with Sasaki Kojuro in the Fate series I believe but there’s other instances in anime of this not relating to Sasaki Kojuro

Definitely. Wado Ichimonji either needs to turn black, or be broken. Something significant needs to happen with it before the end of the story. That sword is the physical representation of Zoro's promise to Kuina, and the dream of being the greatest swordsman. Yet it tends to sit in the background, when using one sword Zoro tends to use his other swords. Wado Ichimonji needs something to bring it back into the spotlight before Zoro accomplishes his dream.

I could see something like Zoro never goes after King's mask but at the last attack he overwhelms King so much that his mask is completely broken, King stars respecting Zoro like he did with Kaido when he was defeated by Kaido, and out of respect Zoro cover King's face before anyone else sees it, just like Luffy did to Katakuri at the end of their fight.

I like your idea of the fight but I think it would be more symbolic that they respect each other and at the end of the fight Zoro hits him but not the mask but after he falls the mask messes up and falls off then before Zoro passes out he fixes the mask putting it back on his face to help him keep his identity a secret
You know what I can see potentially happening? Despite the focus being on Enma this arc the sword Zoro actually turns into a black blade is Wado Ichimonji. He's only had Enma for like two weeks now, it would be kind of odd if he turned it black before the sword he's had most of his life. I can see it being a thing like he feels his haki permanently imbue a sword but when he looks at Enma it's still the same. Then when he does his finishing move he pulls out all three and realizes it's actually Wado Ichimonji that turned black.

I think zoro will be close to death, and we'll have a flashback to when zoro first got Emma and how it drained his hakki. After that he'll not only allow Emma to drain him but he'll pump his hakki into the blade shriveling him to almost nothing then with one sword style he'll cut down king with an epic sword slash. This process will turn Emma black.

I can see a luffy/Katekuri situation happening here where somewhere mid match King's mask falls and by the end, out of respect, zoro covers his his face out of respect.
I can see zoro winning the fight with an upgraded version of lion song. It's a Quickdraw technique so for speed it fits.

Just put this in another comment, but because wado ichimonji is a white sword by theme, perhaps Zoro is able to create a white blade? Through some purification of armament? It would make sense since Zoro and Luffy have been 'equals' in many terms, it would be fitting for Zoro to create another level of armament when Luffy creates one for conquers? Just a out there theory. It would also lead to some cool visuals when it eventually clashes with yoru. Might be a cool video idea tekking
About the Shiryu breaking Wado Ichimonji thing: Personally him being Zoro's final opponent does not feel right to me or rather underwhelming if that means Zoro has beaten Mihawk already at that point. I just hope Mihawk joins Blackbeard or something, that is something that feels very possible to me.

Would we rather have Enma upgrade or Wado? I know Enma forcefully takes the Haki from the wielder, but canonically, Zoro has been pouring Haki into Wado for much longer and has wielded it for so many years. He has so much more experience with it, and it is *his* blade whereas Enma was given to him. I think story-wise, it makes sense to elevate the Wado to Saijo first.

I think obtaining a black blade requires Conquerors Haki, of which Kaido called out. Maybe Zoro will awaken Conquerors Armament Haki to obliterate King

Thus may be a controversial idea, but....
I want King to break one of Zoros swords, namely the Sandai Kitetsu.
King already showed he has a Swordbrraker(a sword made tailored to break swords) when he took his two blades in an earlier chapter.
And if the kitestsu finally breaks, maybe zorro and tenguyama go to visit ryumas grave and zoror pays his respects to ryuma and in the intermittent period after ward, zoror also pays his respect to tenguyama and the kitestsu which he has used up until it(hopefully) breaks
A swordbraker isn't actually designed to brake swords, it's designed to bind swords. What happens is you catch your opponents sword between the spikes and you twist the blade grabbing on to their sword leaving them open for an attack. It's typically sized like a large dagger and used in the off hand with a short sword in the main hand.

When zoro fought against Arlong he was severely wounded from the Mihawk battle.
I like the Zoro and King battle that you've pitched, but I feel like it will make him a bit similar to Katakuri and his dynamic with Luffy. King seems more like a savage, someone who wants to get the job done without any regard for anything and anyone, but it's Oda and it could go anyway really. Anyways, always appreciate the content Tekking.
Get the feeling if the wado broke zoro would just pump armament haki into the shattered hilt and have a haki light saber

I can see the mask scene being a little more like the Spider-Man train scene, where the mask somehow accidentally gets knocked off towards the end of the battle. We get a look at his face, and then Zoro picks up the mask and puts it back on King out of respect before anyone else finds them after the fight ends. I think that would be really neat
About King's mark being on the left side, I think Oda just likes putting marks on the left side of characters in general
I did a bit of googling and some of the characters with scars on the left side of their face: the whole Monkey family (as already mentioned), Zoro, Jinbei, King Riku, Jabra, Weevil, Shanks, Kid, Sentomaru, Thatch, Magellan
Magellan also has injuries on his left horn and wing, Aokiji and Kyros lost their left leg, Crocodile, Queen, Shanks and Kid their left arm, Whitebeard the left side of his face, Sanji and Kabaji have/used to have their left eye hidden, Ace, Nami, Kaido and Katakuri have their tattoos on their left arm, Franky's Terminator eye was on the left and Blackbeard and of course good ol' T-Bone are missing teeth on their left side
There are of course some characters with injuries on their right side like Akainu, Rayleigh, Cpt. Morgan, technically also Aokiji (but I feel the lost leg is more impactful), Zeff and little Oars jr. (speaking of lost leg) and Jozu (if he's still alive)
Both of these lists are of course a lot longer but I feel like Oda has a distinct preference for left side marks, especially around the eye

Also I don't see the first commanders as being saijo class. I guess we could put Oden in a similar class to Ryuma but he falls short and I feel like Oden could've taken King. First commanders as a whole don't seem to hold up to Mihawk either. Vista can be noted, but he still doesn't have a Kobuto. I think Zoro needs to reach near peak Rayleigh before he could get a Saijo. I do like the idea of King Taking off his mask willingly tho.

He didn't just use Asura Tekking, he used Asura while subconsciously adding Advanced Conqueror's Haki too his attack.
Since Advanced Armament and using Armament with Swords are similar to using Advanced Conqueror's Haki the idea is probably already ingrain within him, he just happened to subconsciously flow his (at the time unknown) Conqueror's Haki instead of his Armament Haki like he had probably intended to do.

As cool as it would be to see king and zoro have a moment of understanding, I find it nearly impossible to believe that King would agree to any kind of honor system that zoro offered. It’s just like zoro said, he’s basically a wild beast; do whatever it takes to win.

I think its a possibility that King doesn't want to keep his face hidden because of vanity. Since there are Cipher Pol people on Wano it might be possible, that after Kings face gets shown, a buster call is going to be called on wano, triggering the final war.

Zoro's final attack against King could some how involve King's flame sort of making a one sword style of the version of the Dragon Blaze technique from Thriller Bark (used against Ryuma) for some sort of really double page spread for an epic attack.
Also if the Wado breaks he would probably do something like Tanjiro in the fight with Rui for a final technique against whoever breaks the Wado.
