I tried to stay out of this, and not say anything, but in all seriousness, this character motives are the stupidest I’ve seen in a long time. I miss the days when Hollywood had talent and creativity, flowing through their veins.
Speaking of creativity, you have done very good job editing this video together. You’ve got style, talent, creativity, and it’s refreshing to see and it’s obvious that you put a lot of thought and work and clearly had fun editing this piece together, great work!
But nothing can redeem this one dimensional kids cartoon villain, named Black Manta.
It could be argued that he suffered brain damage at the beginning of the first film, or that he has the mind of an 8 year old.
If in that case, it would make sense that his motives lack any depth, because He’s what I call a “Fisher Price“ character. Cheaply made, and meant for kids under the age of five.
Wesley Snipes villainess character of. Simon Phoenix in Demolition Man, was a great! Because his character fit the mold of the story, it fit the world that his character was built in. He was cartoonish, outrageous, silly, but at the same time you knew he could turn on a dime, and be a psychopath.
OK, off my soapbox, I’ve read the Aquaman, comic books, and black manta is a great character, and a great villain. The live action character in this live action, adaptation of Aquaman, is a cheap zero dimensional cardboard cut out.
