Felt that kalapramanam was bit on the racy side. May be I am the only one who felt that the kriti was rendered in somewhat hurried fashion. Little bit slowing down makes Sangatis more enjoyable. At the end of the day this is a Melakarta Ragam and offers plenty of scope. Each little sangati has to be listened carefully and enjoyed even if not getting into manodharmam. Sangatis of kritis in Melakarta ragams should not be belted out like it is a matter of fact.
These duos are promoted by some Sangeetha Rasikas above their limited knowledge. I have heard song sung by genius M.D.Ramanathan 45 years back in a proper tempo.
@@vallursivaraman4201 My idea wasn't to trash them. This rendition I had an issue with. They are generally good otherwise. Not everyone is MDR or can do what he did. I was always at awe at MDR. But, it is not like that approach had no pitfalls. He didn't care if people showed up for concerts. When too many people don't care for audience, someone has to bear the losses and sabhas will have shut the shop. Leaving all that aside, my comment was about rendition of this particular krithi.
Excellent presentation of rare ragam and rare krithi of Saint Thyagaraj swamy. Very beautiful.❤
Amazing
Excellent performance 👏
This is mela kartha raga. Ms. Ranjani and Ms. Gayatri have touched all the finer notes with their imagination and voice. Nasika bhushani Superb

@@vallursivaraman4201 - Yes, marketing gimmicks. More style than substance

I agree. If the tempo is a bit slower the rendition would have been much more enjoyable.
Thrilling rendering of this rAgam; you may want to also listen to the same song here:
