I cracked up at the "ALLIGATORS NO SWIMMING" sign! I mean, c'mon, you can't announce to alligators that they're not allowed to swim! That would just be cruel. HAHA! Beautiful section of trail.
What a great section of trail! I'm glad you took the time to go inside that little museum at the park - I love hidden gems like that (and animatronic chickens!). Nice to see you back uploading again, I hope you are feeling safe and are continuing to enjoy your journey! Thanks for taking us along with you!
This portion of the trail looks so beautiful for me!!! The swamps…not so much😂😂😂 I hope you are safe, healthy and happy for the rest of this INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE 💗💗💗💗
I just love your videos. I live in Florida and find nothing better than it's wild beauty- love me the forest and open plains. Florida is so much more than beaches. So thank you for showing that!
13:41 Thank you Kelly for including the poster board calling out the diorama. I did a double take when I saw the slave nice an happy by the water with some watermelon, dancing etc. When you think things have come so far and you see a glorified version of history like that, crazy. Other than that loving your trip on the FT and hope the tram stays safe
I just love your attitude and how you find so much of the trail beautiful! I’m camping the next three days on the Suwannee and hope to hike a small section of the FT.
Heading to white springs for the Ididahike event this weekend put on by the Florida trail association. It’s 11 miles along the Suwannee River. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us!!
Only class 3 rapids in Florida. Camped there many times with my son's scout troop cannoning the Suwannee from Okefenokee Swamp to the gulf. Trip took a little over two weeks split between 2 years.
I love the Suwanee!....you discovered the rapids I canoed the Suwanee when the water level was low missed the chance to paddle the rapids! I love when the azaleas are blooming!
This section of the trail is so beautiful. Also the fishing is great in the Suwannee. A lot of people go canoeing from the Spirit of the Suwannee down river to Gibson Park. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your journey.
@S. M. I have not heard about any such incident though, who knows, this being FL. The color is tannins and and the foam is from the amount of algae etc always present in the water…
I'm so excited that you've made it to this area of the trip. Please be on the lookout! You will start to walk right by springs that feed into the Suwanee and are SOOOO enjoyable to stop and take a break in! I've hiked about 90 miles of the area you are in, several times, and loved it. The bugs... not so much... especially ticks!
I hope someday you get to kayak on the Suwannee. A little further south from where you are on this video are crystal clear springs that feed the river that you can swim in. The state also has campsites setup alone the river for kayakers. Stay well and be safe.
Thanks for sharing your adventures. After wintering in Tx. I'm back on the road looking for great trails. Thinking of doing the Florida trail section along the river that you just did probably in the fall.
Now this was a day on the FT that I truly envied you guys. Plus this episode had danger (I thought you were going to jump in that black water and that didn't seem like such a great idea) and I thought we might see someone topple into the river (but we didn't). And some of the shots of the river were gorgeous!
Hey Kelly! I’ve loved following your FL trail videos, you make the trail look fun but …. Lol. It still freaks me out. Ha ha ha Please say “Hi” to “Not so bad” & “Sugar” for me. I hiked around them both on my AT thru hike with my son. It’s awesome to get to see both their faces. Now carry on ! Keep on trucking Edge & G Funk (my son)
Way down upon the Swanee river far far away
I cracked up at the "ALLIGATORS NO SWIMMING" sign! I mean, c'mon, you can't announce to alligators that they're not allowed to swim! That would just be cruel. HAHA! Beautiful section of trail.
We used to go to the yearly folk festival in White Springs but now we go to Seattle’s Folk Festival during the end of May every year.
Those views and sunset are amazing. We paddled the Suwannee River last year so it brings back a lot of great memories.
Look liked a wonderful day of hike. Very nice to hike along the river👍👍

This was one of your best videos with beautiful scenery and climbing challenges . Stay safe. You remain in our prayers every night.

God bless you Kelly Jesus precious name 🙏 ❤....
Make sure you're ready. Time is so short Kelly.
One of the most beautiful parts of the trail yet.
I just love your attitude and how you find so much of the trail beautiful! I’m camping the next three days on the Suwannee and hope to hike a small section of the FT.
Hey Kelly, nothing like a good game of "Hey Cow" to start off your daily walk! LOL

That one strech of the trail looked just like the AT
"So Cool"...totally agree...thanks for bringing this one!
Only class 3 rapids in Florida. Camped there many times with my son's scout troop cannoning the Suwannee from Okefenokee Swamp to the gulf. Trip took a little over two weeks split between 2 years.
Also, for some reason I have never done this section and find myself revising my plans for next Winter.
you're doing a wonderful job showing us the local descriptors now-tuvm!
We've camped at Stephen Foster SP, and hiked some of that section.
I love the Suwanee!....you discovered the rapids I canoed the Suwanee when the water level was low missed the chance to paddle the rapids! I love when the azaleas are blooming!

Had a waste water treatment incident
@S. M. I have not heard about any such incident though, who knows, this being FL. The color is tannins and and the foam is from the amount of algae etc always present in the water…
The Suwannee is some of the cleanest water in FL, though.

You captured it girl
Visually amazing, especially the first 10 minutes. 😍 The weather looked gorgeous. I'm seething as a nor'easter bears down on us. ✌️
You did great on that sketch water crossing. Total pro 💃🏼
Nice countryside.
This section along the Suwannee and Eglin AFB are my favorites and I’ve repeated them. Enjoy and savor the experience!
This is a awesome part of the trail
Thanks for sharing your adventures. After wintering in Tx. I'm back on the road looking for great trails. Thinking of doing the Florida trail section along the river that you just did probably in the fall.
so loving your videos, hope to hike jan2025 so thanks for all the info snailtrainer
Really enjoying this series! Thank you for bringing us along!
I don't live far from the Suwanee. I paddle from white springs to the gulf every year.

Hopefully it was cooler there today, Pensacola was pretty nice.
Fat Bellies Yum Yum. Awesome stuff! Great restraunt in the middle of nowhere. You guys are awesome!
None of us would be suprized if Kelly kept going to Maine.
Get some rest! You are heading to the finish now and what an accomplishment!
Those cows made me think I had a phone call. That looked like a grat day. Keep on getting it.
That's why we call it the blackwater river!
My back surgery went great I'll be doing my overnight kayaking hopefully soon
Thanks
Good job
Now I'd do that leg of the trail.....it would kill my ankles but the view is killer!
Oh man, I haven't been to the Foster.. memorial.. thing.. in forever. That sort of points the problem with the State Song, eh?
Like any alligators are going to pay attention to that sign. They love to swim!
I wonder what the minerals are in the Suwanee river that makes it look so black?
Fat belly’s is my problem , lol we ate and still do when we’re on this side of our Suwannee,.
Love it
..
I know I would wanna curl up and sleep after that good meal.
4:12 -Water looks hazardous. 😳
9-24-24 Binge watching like a madman.
🤎
so beautiful
Dollar General, aren't they the store that called the police on Dixie for alleged shoplifting?
@S. M. I think she was on the Pinhoti trail when that happened
