I know this video is 4 years ago but I just want to say thank you. I just started rowing a couple days ago and no other video I was given gave me motivation to keep with it but I randomly found this one off a recommend and I'm so glad i did. Your voice mixed with the motivation you gave without really helped me to get through a workout I didn't think I could. I plan to do 3x a week and slowly progress from there. I'm not in any rush. Slow progress is better than none in my eyes

I bought my C2 when I moved to a place with no water nearby, after years of sculling at UCLA and crew at LARC. Used it twice. Ergs are such a different experience to real water! Now I'm back near the Pacific, but before I return to rowing, I needed to find the very best workout to get me back in good form. You are AMAZING! I love your workout! Done it 5-6 days/wk for a month. Your way of explaining things, your gentle humor and consistent encouragement, your quips "Miles make champions" etc., are endearing. Thank you for this wonderful workout!

Thanks for the workout. I am fairly new to rowing. I have had my machine for less than a month. I like the different workouts you do. It sure beats just getting on the machine and rowing at a steady slow pace for a long time or doing a short sprint. I also like to thank you for some of your other videos where you taught me proper rowing form.

I've been using a home rower for about 4 years, meticulously keeping times and logging improvements in performance. It's done me good, but in the last week I've watched 3 of your videos and realised that I was making almost every mistake you highlighted. I've changed my stroke completely, my times and SPM have gone to hell but I now have aches where I didn't know I had places! I can feel the power in every stroke and it's a much better workout. Thanks and I'll keep watching. As others have said, how great is having a rower at home when we can't go out. Greetings to all from the UK.

Separating out the specific parts and tools for each of the seven step assembly process steps was brilliant on the part of the manufacturer. For the price, I am impressed at how sturdy this ruclips.net/user/postUgkxvObaTzoHoHQLL4lHbJQmExHqsrZQm-f7 unit is and it does go together easily. Well, I was puzzled at first at Step 5 and maybe the instructions should mention that rail #62 needs to be tilted upwards a little to get the rail to fit into the main part #44. I like it that the rower can be stored vertically in a really small amount of space, but be forewarned that this rower is top heavy and for safety you'll need at least two bungee cords to keep the unit upright, attaching them to something; in my case to a third garage door. I have had this unit only a short time, and I will post an update once I've had it for a year. As for working your legs, I have to admit that I'm mainly rowing for upper body strength and I use other forms of exercise for leg strength (like walking fast, biking, or using a trampoline. But if you pull as far forward as possible, then you can give preference to your legs for the first 4 feet or so of travel. I also admit to not taking the two electronic connectors apart at Step 7. I simply inserted the two batteries while the other parts remained connected. By the way, there is plenty of resistance here, even in the lowest resistance settings. Kudos to Sunny Health & Fitness !

Spent years and years (and years) on a recumbent stationary bike and finally wore it out after many 10s of thousands of miles. Wanted to get a concept 2 but find they're almost impossible to get now (unless you want to cough up $3k or more) so I settled on a proform 750R, it's quieter than the concept 2 but I pretty sure the workout statistics are wrong (numbers are much higher than on the concept 2) but it's giving me a good workout and I've started watching your beginners videos. Thanks for taking the time to produce such high quality content.

I love this workout, for how long do you recommend to repeat it before leveling up? And what would be the next routine?
I’m trying to lose weight and I have bad knees!?!?!????

Enjoyed the session. Somewhat surprised that you have it down as a beginner workout. I am not currently rowing fit but most beginners I have ever seen would keel over after this. Either that or I am rubbish. Great motivational chat though. Thank you 🙏

Great workout, thank you. After a lifetime of lifting, I'm 62, I have finally got around to cardio which I have always avoided. As competitive as ever I am determined to achieve a decent 2000m time. Onwards and upwards!

Loved following along. I found my mid back got soooo tight at around 2000m. Any stretch recommendations to help this issue out.

Brilliant workout after 6 weeks of no exercise due to bad back. Found my pace dropped massively on last 24, 22 & 20. Also my hands were starting to tear up, any suggestions?

Hey Austin, thanks for the workout. But don't you think that it is bit much for the begginers like me ? I definitely felt a need of a break in between.

Hiya Austin! Congratulations with SA! I've just started out the past couple of weeks working out hard. I'm currently fighting breast cancer and now just starting to use the rowing machine at the gym. Thank you for posting your fantastic instructional videos. They are AWESOME!
Im working on dropping 35 pounds. I've lost 20 so far. I have to lose the estrogen that is made by the abdominal fat and it feeds my type of cancer. I'll lose the weight with the vegan meals and working out at least five days a week. Take care and God Bless... Holly.
