Groceries in the US are much more expensive than Germany. I was pleasantly surprised when was visiting Germany. Although gas is crazy expensive in Europe.

Wer bezahlt denn 900 - 1.000 € im Monat für Krankenversicherung? Die Kappungsgrenze liegt viel niedriger. Irgendwo bei 700 €. Als Angestellter/Arbeiter bezahlst du davon die Hälfte!

I know several people personally who pay around 900 Euros per month for their health insurance :) yes, you pay a half of this amount yourself and half - your employer. The point is, some people pay around 100 Euros (students, for example) and some 500 Euros net or more. So, there is no standard health insurance fee that everybody pays in Germany, it varies significantly 😊

Now there is Deutschland ticket. Everywhere in Germany public transport costs 50€ per month
