- After unlocking the armillary I found that building it inside an outpost wasn't as simple as I had hoped, so began experimenting to figure out ways the trick the game into letting me place it where I wanted
In this video I'll go over a few methods that ultimately worked for me, and hopefully will work well for you too
As an outpost builder on the Xbox without access to mods, I'm constantly looking for ways the assets can be used in creative ways to open up new outpost building possibilities
I'll be adding more tutorials as well as build tours in upcoming videos, so if you found this helpful please like and subscribe for more
You’re a lifesaver.
glad I could help!
Thank you for sharing! I'm more of a shipbuilder, but in my limited Outpost building experience, I have been left many times wishing I could get the Armillary inside! I'm going to have to test this out for myself soon! Thanks again!
Thanks for the share. The rug trick is a familiar one from building in other Bethesda games. A very handy trick to have in your build toolkit. Crazy that outpost building is just as glitchy or maybe even more so than other Bethesda games. Glad you here to help alleviate some of the headache. You are awesome.
The rug trick is an oldie but a goodie for sure. It seems it's power gets nerfed a little with every new game though. In FO4 they would allow us to straight up bend space and time, by FO76 they started to be a bit more limited with what you could get to merge, and in Starfield it seems there's even less wiggle room gained. Still I'll take what ever magic I can get from them
the building system in Starfield is a massive step backward
Well I just learned Starborn will attack my outpost shortly after building the armillary there, and I built mine inside the Hab too. 😂
@@rogueshadow9502 Oh no! I've not had a single attack since I built the Armillary at mine, so had assumed it was safe, now I know to be on the look out
@@cybermonk3894 you know it seemed that way at first, but once I got into it, it's surprisingly versatile. It's different for sure, but I've been enjoying it. I'd be surprised if we didn't see at least one DLC dedicated to outpost building like the ones we got in FO4, so I imagine there will be more to work with down the line
Very cool. Love the decor around your outdoor display!
Thanks! I was testing to see if the lights and animation stopping was a glitch caused by being inside, so built a "control" armillary outside for that. Liked it so much that I ended up leaving it there and turning it into a garden. I was kind of surprised at how nicely it turned out after fighting so long to get it indoors
Itd be xool if they made a dedicated room for the armillary too, similar to the main lodge room
Little tip for easier alignment when placing items. Align the character how you want to place the item then select any other item in the list and switch back to the one you want to place. Most items reset alignment when they are selected.
Bethesda wrote the quest to build it at your outpost or on your ship. I am shocked they didn’t even test the Armillary inside to see if it fits…
I love your tutorials, thank you for these.
ARe-Melary. Never heard it as Arm-ellury. Hmm Going to have to look that one up to hear a proper pronunciation incase some one told me wrong.
nice!!
So what your sayin is the armillary is broken. No news there.
My Captain would like to know if she can have your character's phone number.
Ha, I'll tell her the same thing I told that ship full of tourists... Absolutely!
Pretty sure this is supposed to go inside or outside. But as usual Bethesdas incompetent.
