Oh my goodness, it’s finally here. First, we got Luigi’s Mansion Beta Restoration, then we got Zelda SW97, and now we got the Mario 64 beta restoration. That’s awesome
Also the Zelda SW97 Experience (an Ocarina of Time mod that replicates how the game was like when it was demoed at Spaceworld 1997, using the assets from an F-Zero X overdump cart)

He's a really down to earth guy, I chat with him on occasion. I'm surprised at how well they got it down in so little time. There's also a neat map select of bonus content like an unfinished version of the Forest Temple and Fire Temple, albeit they aren't really useful for much other than exploring but it's neat nonetheless.
The fact that Marios movement could basically be called complete here, yet nintendo went back and tweaked it even more to make it better and add cool stuff this late in development shows how much they really cared about making Mario fun to control. Not to mention their late addition of the long jump probably led to the backwards long jump glitch.
@@Reaktron88 no, it's just because there's no speed cap on negative speed. so if you can land quickly you can get the 1.5x speed boost from a long jump quicker than air slows you down
They are indeed, as a kid playing the demo of Crash Bandicoot 3 there was a different warp room in the level spheres, when I got the full game I always thought there was a way to unlock that warp room shown in the demo, but I didn't know any better back then, I remember trying to do everything to unlock it lol

I remember this is 1995, space world seeing mario 64 for the 1st time it was mind blowing can't believe this is fan made it looks incredible and very true to the original beta version, I wish they would have kept mario saying hooo on his jump in the final version.
From discovering the actual pre-release footages, I find some things isn't in the Preservation Project: Jolly Roger Bay doesn't exist in this hack. It has bluey water and a bigger ship with different layout. There is a footage of Mario punching Boos in a house with unused brown brick texture. Maybe Big Boo's Haunt was in the beta version. There is also a footage where Mario messing around in a stage with some unused textures. Surprisingly it was a test stage which was found in the 2020 Nintendo Gigaleak where Luigi was found too. TTM's slide in CCM was extended and doesn't have a dead end at all.

I think it's more of a glitch with slopes than a glitch with long jumps. Slopes are always glitchy in video games.
