Eagles will have Quinyon and Slay at the outside corner. CJGJ and Dejean at safety/nickel. One other safety/nickel spot, probably Reed Blankenship, but could possibly be Avonte Maddox depending on which skill set they'd prefer. They're probably almost always in nickel.

When I first watched Cooper, I had concerns just a week ago. He uses a zone based technique in man coverage. He looked a little stiff in the hips, his movement is a bit robotic but he can run. He's a great athlete. He has a nose for the ball, big physical and can tackle and score in the open field. I just think he has to make a big adjustment to play corner. His comfort will come in time. That's the issue, will he ever get the time to get comfortable and confident. I think he'll play nickle to safety. Once at safety, I don't think he'll make it back to corner.

It’s not speed and athleticism that’s a concern. The stereotype is that they don’t have the quickness or change of direction speed to cover the top route runners like Amari cooper, Justin Jefferson. Ceedee lamb etc…

Cooper DEJAWN is an athlete just like every athlete that plays the NFL doesn't matter by the color of your skin for the religion or the ancestry. If he plays Corner if he plays Safety whatever he plays he's an athlete and that's what it is bottom line when you bring in race that's messed up and it shouldn't be about race it should be about the player the athlete plain and simple period.

I love that we can be real in sports. As a white dude, I can confidently say that to be a CB, you have to be CRAZY athletic. It’s a known fact that blacks tend to be more athletic than whites. So it makes sense that blacks would dominate the position that requires the MOST athleticism. However, with that said, I think Cooper would do just fine at CB.

If u look at the eagles defense, he will be playing mostly at safety.
