    Fun fact: The ghost's name is Archibald Corduroy and he's canonically an ancestor of Wendy.

      @@Francis... It's in Journal 3. Regarding the Undead, it says that "many seem to be undead lumberjacks from the flood [same flood that this episode mentions], but since they bite new victims when they rise each month, I have seen a zombie mailman, a zombie cop, and a zombie Boy Scout."

    Pacifica is such a poor child being conditioned like that by her parents. You'll notice she knocks instead of ringing the door bell when she asks for help.

      @@sherylannd6813 There is. On the very first episode, that scene where Norman rings the doorbell and Mabel [literally] spills the bean. A few more instances is on that shrink ray episode. At the beginning and at the end of that episode, the TV host rings the doorbell to congratulate Stan for winning money. I think Gideon rings the doorbell on that episode too, when he brought the Egyptian termites.

    • @grantsch1861
      @grantsch1861 2 года назад

      @@meganlodon ...different sorts of memories... I literally wrote the correctly. The gun doesn't erase minds, it erases memories.
      The society was created to help the town forget any weird and troubling things they saw, so I think it's interesting that they might've also been trying to keep dipper from being recognized.
      It's also interesting that dipper never questions why no one cares. Maybe he's also had his memory erased a few times.

    • @meganlodon
      @meganlodon 2 года назад

      @@grantsch1861 Erasing minds, erasing memories. Tomato, tomahto. You knew what I meant. Anyway, regarding what you originally wrote, you said it was weird for them erasing "stuff". Thinking something is weird is different than finding it interesting, which you mentioned it being such afterwards. I only thought you meant something other than _memories_ because I didn't find it weird on why they would do what they did. Interesting and expected, yes, but not weird or unusual. So, I was wondering, in response to what you said, "Why _wouldn't_ they erase stuff that would bring Dipper recognition? Of course they would". This thought is why I asked you what you meant by "stuff", because it's obvious why they would earse memories. So, sorry for the misunderstanding.
      That said, it's possible he could have had some memories erased, but to me, Dipper just dosen't question why no one knows anything or cares is because he simply believes they don't know anything. Why should they care for something they know nothing about? Although, I will note that he did question Stan on a few occasions, but that's probably just because he's a main character, and whatnot. Or, the simplest answer: it's a plothole.

    I’m sure there were other characters who’s character arcs followed this trope already but as far as I know she was the first to be the typical popular Rich mean girl turned into a friend/love interest to the main character. They start off as one the dimensional mean girl and then little by little they show us more and more of why she’s the way she is, most of the time it’s bad parents. (the owl house is a good example of using this) I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but I’m a little tired of seeing it in so many shows that were released at the same time
