Rum Cake Ingredients
1 cup chopped Pecans
3 cups All-Purpose Flour
3.4 ounce box Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
2 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
1 cup Butter, (room temp)
1½ cups Sugar
½ cup Vegetable Oil

2 tsp Vanilla Extract
½ cup Rum of your choice

A Lil blending tip for quick smoothness:
Run that mixer thru ur butter prior to adding ur other liquid ingredients, this works well with cream cheese, too.
& If u forget to set it out ahead of time 30-45 sec in the microwave before whippping it & u'll be straight.

I use a box of yellow cake mix, one box vanilla instant pudding 4 eggs, half cup olive oil, half cup rum, half cup water and mix 2 minutes. Put in greased bundt pan. Put in oven at 325 degrees for one hour. When done baking, I make my glaze.
Made the Rum Cake today! OMG! So damn delicious and light🔥. Another great one ☝️

My grandmother when she was alive would make my mom a Rum cake and a Fruit cake. She would make them on Thanksgiving and then once a day she would add a laddle of rum on them until Christmas day where she would give my mom her gifts for Christmas. It would even be more fluffier if you add eggs in one at a time as you mix it when you incorporate the eggs one at a time it makes it more , Because of the air being incorporate the egg 🥚 and work air together therefore makes it more fluffier. 👩🏾🦲🥰✊🏾

Just a suggestion AB: Next time you make this mix your sugar and soft butter together first before dumping all the other ingredients. The texture and rise of your cake will be even better.

I have 20 lb of pecan halves and 20 pounds of Walnut halves in my freezer because I didn't do any holiday baking. My mother passed away.
My Aunt Dolly used to make rum cake when we were kids we used to get a kick out of it because it was( rum) cake will definitely be trying to make this have been looking for a long time for a really old rum cake recipe

If I may suggest try Baker's Joy baking spray. Comes with flour already in the mixture. My cakes come right out the pan.
