Though he didn't necessarily show it here, I honestly believe PG knows every single song ever played on guitar. Truly, a human jukebox. And that's on top of being one of the finest rock shredders of all time. What a pleasure to watch Paul's career and style evolve over all these decades. Taking the Mr. Big job was absolutely the greatest move he ever made - to not just be stuck into the [admittedly awesome but] limited style of RacerX, but to slow that thoroughbred racehorse speed and learn how to ease in and write amazing songs with even more amazing, melodic solos. Gotta love PG - what an ambassador for guitar.
Awesome Guitar Player....one of the best in the world for sure...thanx for the memories my friend..tommyrad - fellow lifetime guitarist...love the show, bro.....
PG, from San Diego, I'm the best 80's garage-queen rock guitarist in town, just call me 619! Love you forever PG, you are a rhythmic, beautiful, electric, warm, lyrical, melodious, modern rock guitar icon. Peace Mr. Paul.
@@livingbeing1113 Losing hearing means he lost more high end frequency hearing than mid, so now he is basically skipping the entirety of the high end, almost like a hard cutoff. It's not entirely bad when put into a mix, the high end usually get buried anyway, but if you listen just to a solo guitar in a studio setting it does sound very compressed. The guitar and pups themselves should not be limited, I think more of his sound is augmented by his pedals. The demo doesn't exactly give the full sound of the guitar.
Ive owned Ibanez guitars since the 1990s and have found them to be equal to and even better than any of the Gibsons or Fenders I own.. Ibanez just doesnt do the massive advertising the others do so they dont get the love they deserve.
Really? Ibanez has been out of their way to endorse rising young guitarist all over the world. Coz Ibby knows, Gibson won't endorse younglings like Polyphia, Chon, Ichika, etc
I love the fact the volume is tucked out of the way. Always annoying when you're unknowingly turning the volume down by brushing it when it's too close. Looks pretty solid
I need him to make a PGM model that looks and sounds exactly like his orange one in the Technical Difficulties video. I believe it has a tonezone and air classic, and if he puts locking tuners on that like in this model, I'm sold.
wait what Mr. Big cutting a new album? Please have the tour go for a bit longer. I really hope to watch them, and I'm not sure I can travel this year to any of they places they're playing :( But regardless. Looking forward to the new record. Paul is such a cool guy man
Made in Indonesia under Premium series.. got mine 3 weeks ago. It’s quite high quality & very detailed..such as using genuine MIJ gotoh locking tuners, great paintwork , the cavity has copper shielding, Dimarzio pickups, sturdy selector switch & quality volume knobs
Paul is amazing but man, sometimes those tones are nasty. This is really not a good advertisement for this guitar. "okay, we need to do a marketing thing for the new Ibanez PGM so lets play it through something that sounds like a Pignose amp. Shall we use a Friedman, or something? No, a Pignose will do!" 🙄
@@lyrad24 his reissues did have 24 fret because there was a demand for that purple guitar with f holes, so the white and purple was reissued, and he also had a cheap GIO which was 24 frets, but his newer designed guitars now have 22 frets
He hasnt, for Mr Big he uses RGs, for his solo project he uses the Fireman. Hes currently touring and making an album with mr big so he will be using the RG alot

When Paul plays, it looks like he's trying to catch flies in his mouth. lol! He's a master though.

I bet hes autistic.
Awesome!!!❤❤💯💯
Paul is so awesome and fun. He is one of the greatest guitarists of all time and yet he is very kind and down to earth guy. amazing
This man is on his own level
Been following Paul since his Racer X days.
Thank you for inviting PG! Always great listening and watching you, Paul!🤘🏿🤘🏿🔥🔥
This is classic Paul
WOW!!! It's Happy Gilby! What a groovy dude! I love how he plays with his fingers, but also his face too!😁
The video production was masterfully done 🤌

I love Paul Gilbert!
i played for some minutes a PGM like 15years ago and it was a nice experience

I'm the best in my town too...let's jam...
Anyone else missing his Laney tone?
Right here. It was much better than the muddy one he has now. Surely Paul's hearing loss isn't helping him finding a good tone.

Lord Gilbert rides again!
Classic as always. Thank you
obviously a top tier virtuoso player, but also a good dude and a great teacher. more Paul Gilbert shenanigans algorithm👍
The amazing Paul Gilbert...
Still waiting for the Paul Gilbert signature double neck. I love his double neck and really want one.

PG is such a badass
Sounds great. Time for another pedal board review of his latest choices.
Great Guitar, Fantastic Player 🤘
I want it now!
Really want the japan made 24 fret pgm like pgm 301 or 300 series
That's a classy looking guitar. I guess Paul has no use for tone knobs. Love the taped on magnet for the slide. 🎶👍
Paul is sn amazing man full stop!
Ibanez should make that new neck through PGM a production model, it's intriguing me and I'd buy one!
A lot of guitars prefer the tone of bolt ons
I wish they would bring back the ibanez white pgm301

His transformation into Gary Oldman from the movie Slow Horses is almost complete.
It is nice but I wished they reissued the 301!

Send this guitar to brasil ... No have this guitar on BRASIL IBANEZ .. open yours eyes. Brasil need this
awesome
24 frets version?
Is he playing through that Rivera Deluxe down there?
I'm not into Mr. Big but with NDV on the kit I might have to check this out.
wy no make in lefty ????
Honestly thought he was going to jam Master Exploder with those first chord strums.
Where was this Guitar Made??
Made in Indonesia under Premium series.. got mine 3 weeks ago. It’s quite high quality & very detailed..such as using genuine MIJ gotoh locking tuners, great paintwork , the cavity has copper shielding, Dimarzio pickups, sturdy selector switch & quality volume knobs
Oh wow din know that I thought it would be made in Japan or something@@Riot2012-h1y
PG always update his signature guitar. More than Steve Vai or Joe S
Gary oldman plays really well!! 😂😂
that is a sexy guitar.
A lefty model would be nice

Reasonably priced as well. Unlike the Alex Lifeson unattainable -for-most, $5000 Godin "partscaster".
🤣🤣...
rad :0
Anyone you know who still insists that Shred and Feel do not and cannot coexist, show them this and then (figuratively) drop a mic.
The only man whose pinky finger has its own brain.
La leva del tremolo non ce lha hai messo i floyd rose e poi niente leva ??????
This one was stolen from Paul Gilbert in Germany, during their Mr. Big tour! Can't believe it, what a sad day :(
Nooooooo only 22 frets:(
Just realized it just now ever since the announcement, even the 1000T
Ever since PG got his fireman signature he's been down to 22 frets, only his stuff earlier than that is 24 frets
@@pihermoso11 the PGM333 had 24 btw from 2019

He's said he doesn't like to play up high much anymore because his ears are shot and he can't hear much past the 15th at all 😢
Is it just me, or is he developing a Brooklyn Italian style accent???
I have just never been able to get past the fake f holes, in terms of owning one of these
And it’s stolen.
Tone is awful
Finally dumped that silly fireman
He hasnt, for Mr Big he uses RGs, for his solo project he uses the Fireman. Hes currently touring and making an album with mr big so he will be using the RG alot
He uses the Fireman plenty in Mr. Big too. @@larsheuker
Yngwie is right...only big frets is great to Play on ☝️
Good you Play a real guitar again ☝️ The thunkey body reversed i have hated since born of a mad man ☝️
