I even tell my friends when they ask me like how to learn this song and all.. Then I send the videos of you.. I was almost driving crazy with people on youtube saying they got the "correct" way when the finger shapes they've shared had nothing to do with what I saw Chris Martin play. Thank you so much! I've been trying to learn this, but had so much trouble getting a proper sound on the D, but I was also playing a regular D, rather than the version you show here. It sounds SOOO much better, and also a way easier switch, which is great as I've only been playing for around 6 months. Love the concept, especially the play throughs at the end with vocal aswell. Now for those of you who dont have a capo and/or dont want to fuck around with tuning (like when youre randomly handed a guitar and asked to play sth) and can afford to sing it a half step higher (if you have trouble with that, go practice your ass off or just take the octave below that. Like lazy people. People like me.): You can combine the live riff with the easy chords and just play it in standard. Transposed chord progression would be | D E | A F#min | (all open except for the F#min, which would be a 2nd fret Emin barre chord); have fun!

To detune your guitar half step, just place the capo on the fisrt fred and let the tuning device tell where to tune it
