Thanks Aiken! This was one I wanted to go to before but the darn pandem…ic made it impossible. I’m glad everything is back to normal, if was can call this normal hahaha 😂
I enjoy watching these Japanese festivals. They are fun to watch. Very entertaining and interesting. Thank you for sharing it with us! It was great! 😁✌️🧊🥶☃️
My hats off to the anyone who does this sort of thing, must do wonders for the immune system. Another wonderful side of life if Japan. Thank you for taking us John 😁
Going hatless for the pants-less is surely a sign of respect ^_^ seriously, after having done this several times, I felt so much energy after it, the body like reset itself. I’m glad you came for the adventure!
Leo's facial expression's very , some times he look like You and other times he looks like Kanae . He's also getting more comfortable being on camera .
That was nice for a father, son bonding. The warm up moves and vocals reminds me of martial arts exercise. This should be easier for you with your experience at the naked man festival. Maybe next year?❤❤❤
I’ve got a naked man festival video to release at the start of February, I filmed last March in deep snow 😂 it was so cold 🥶!!! 🧊 worse than this. Or I should say BETTER than this! Hahaha
Here in the states they do the polar bear plunge for raise money for special Olympics and other charities. Some do so just because. One time I did the ice bucket challenge for MDA . ❤😊
Hello, John and Leo! We also have kind of similar tradition in Ukraine. It takes place on Vodokhresche festival (Day of Baptismus Domini, but some say it's pre-Christian tradition), also in early January. We with brothers in arms participate every year, but now it's no longer available due to the ongoing ruzZo-Ukrainian war. Stay warm and safe, everyone, God bless, and may you and your beloved ones never know what war is.
Gee, something that we do every year in Canada, the annual Polar Bear swim, only we usually do it in a lake, surrounded by ice and snow, in a hole carved into the ice, for the event. And we do it numerous times every winter! You don't need a special festival to be doing it! Oh, and one other thing? We do the full immersion plunge into the water, not a wussy step-in and then sit down! 🍁 🇨🇦😁😬🥶🥶🥶🐻❄
Loved this, it was really cool to see, Leo is so cute! Thanks John for a enjoyable video 😍🥰
Now this is the Japan we know and love 🇯🇵
Fun insight into another local custom in Japan. The air looked cold and that water looked even worst. Thanks again for another great video John.
Thanks John, I love these events

I don't feel so bad about my body now. 😂 Don't get sick ✌🏻
I sure enjoyed this video with Nephew Little Leo. 🩵👋🏻❄️
We got him some super sized cotton candy 🍭 as a reward after this!
@ He is such a good boy and well behaved. A sweet little one.
Are you ever going to do those midnight gyudon runs? I miss those.
Maybe, I stopped eating after midnight, part of ethnicity is Gremlin, it might not smoothly.

100 people into a Temu pool.

There was a lot of sumo wrestlers there?
Fundoshi aren’t just for sumo, I’ve worn them more than once and ran around the street 95% naked before. Only in Japan 😂
