I like to seen a headliner on a ragtop please. I feel there should be a fun update to this, meaning more detail of the plastic edges. As well as to have the ragtop to ride the rails smoothly after its finished. Thanks for youre opinions, to have tweed bage headliner, im really thinking it will last longer and worth the price. 🙂👍 thanks again so much for what you, you're dad and employee's does for this channel and business.
Chris, there's a place in Arizona that installs ragtop's on non Factory ragtop bug's. I have a 65 and would like it to be ragtop. If I found a reasonable one that would be great.. Suggestions please
Well it's as relevant now as it was then as life got in the way of my project and it was on hold until the last few weeks. I also can't find anything on this and can't get response from my local classic shop or find anyone else local that still works on beetles. I have an H5 engine that I'm going to rebuild. I tore it down back when I had just found your channel back then and pretty much wanted your opinion on three things. Everything looks pretty good except the pistons and jugs, so I'm going to have to replace them. Since I'm doing that, and it's a single relief case, I was thinking of going to 1641 pistons. While I'm at that and it's a single port engine, I was considering going to dual port. On those two things what would your thoughts be?
Or would the SP heads be sufficient for the 1641? Also, when I got back to the project I was going to start pulling crank gears and doing that the main and thrust bearings don't spin. At all. Can't find anyone out anything anywhere to give advice on this as I've looked. What would you advise on this?

If you could make or link me a vid. How to remove and salvadge my ragtop for my 63 would be really cool man.
Hey Chris just stripped my mechanism down and my rear bow did not have that little metal piece ... do you need it?
If you put in an aftermarket ragtop, will stock ragtop headliner work? Or do you have to cut the one in the car
great video, very helpful

@@ctreatman stay single port
@@ctreatman the bearings are stuck? On the crank? Or in the block? Might need some heat.
