Below we had explained in detail..!
1.a) Vista vision takes less rendering time but the quality is less as compared to Hdtv,
b) Vista vision can be used for fast instant rendering of walkthrough,medium quality with less rendering time..!
c )Reason for this is...vistavision aspect ratio is less as compare to hdtv
Example..Aspect ratio of vista vision 1.50
2.a) hdtv takes more rendering time but the quality is high as compared to vista vision,
b) hdtv can used for high quality rendering
c )Reason for this is...hdtv aspect ratio is more as compare to vistavision
Example..Aspect ratio of hdtv is 1.77
Aspect ratio means
Ratio of screen width ×height
Vistavision screen width×height is example 3×2
Where as hdtv screen width ×height is 16×9

After rendering finished which format to save it , please reply I need same render quality.

You can use HDTV output size for quality rendering with 1920*1080 this size....Liyakath...!
and for save format you can use jpeg but to get best output save it as png format ,but please turnoff the alpha channel....if we don't off the alpha channel you will loose the background image..!

Try to reinstall 3ds max software...!
or try this go to run option and type this " change graphics mode " and select the lower version graphics...!
You can select " OPENGL" option try this..ok..!
