@@akabuki100I think it's fair to say "Add my own style to it" rather than make it wayy better, people forget the idea of Flying Thunder God which is instant teleportation traveling through space and time was created by Tobirama he layed blueprint that Minato followed and what he did was add his knowledge of seals to it so it could have higher capacities, which is how he's able to teleport the Shinobi alliance so easily. So basically Tobirama created the Lambo Minato made it a 8 door.😂
Im not saying Minato has a kekkai genkai, but it would be cool if someone or a clan had some type of kekkai genkai that allowed them to see a jutsu or learn a jutsu and understand the fundamentals and strengths and come up with applications.

Learning the rasengan in 3 year doesn’t necessarily have to be a recon. It could just mean for three years he been trying to develop a Jutsu for kushina and came to this conclusion after seeing the tailed beast bomb
@@DenyuXL Is there any indication how much time has past between that fight and the training we see? Perhaps it was a jump forward 3 years, but since it's supposed to be a shorter manga he didnt out right say how long it has been
Regarding how long it took Minato to master the Rasengan, Jiraiya said, "Well, in any case, you've completed the first stage of developing a new jutsu!" You can interpret this 2 ways with it either being that the Rasengan still needed more training to master it or, that he already mastered it & is now trying to add his chakra natures to it like he originally planned to.
it was not completed because it had no nature type it was just a ball of chakara and he died before he could do it. so that was the normal rasengan we know and love
I like the idea of Minato being in a similar tier to Hashirama, it straightens the earlier notion of him being the strongest earlier in the story, like what if in terms of power he could be a blonder, less experienced, more poised, more adroit Hashirama without wood style or asura reincarnate hax, with an incredible aptitude for Sealing jutsu
I'm pretty sure you forgot to mention, at least explicitly, that the nine tails Minato was fighting inside kushina was a FULL Kurama. The one that made the Sannin level people quake their boots was only half of him, which makes Minato even crazier. (Although the nine tails was restrained, still)
Ur right but the chains she's using right now is way weaker than when she was an adult, evidence when she used them on the two anbu black ops watching her and she uses the chains to bind them and one of them remarks that with every passing year the chains get stronger indicating the chains aren't at their strongest, so you can't really just say a full kurama was weakened by the chains as kurama was still able to tear them apart just a but ago in the chapter
@@kawakiuzumaki5934he wasl weakened yes... But by how much though, that is what he is trying to say, ... we've seen how kushina was easily able to hold the actual physical Ninetails... and in this we see the chains are not as tight, as if they are flimsily on kurama, So yeah in this chapter the chains doesn't restrict as much as later in the series.
@@christianvictormariano1283 he verbatim claimed “so you can’t really just claim kurama is weakened” his chackra is being suppressed by Kushina’s chains period. @@kawakiuzumaki5934 I mean oh okay okay... I suppose I misinterpreted the whole points, but tbh yeah Kurama was weakened but not by a whole lot maybe, cuz if Minato didn't get in there the chains would have still prolly broken, but I think how the chains is drawn or how it is wrapped has something to do with suppressing or sealing, since for the most part physical touch is what we see, like yes the reaper death seal, but that literally show cases having it's technique touch something or chakra pool?... Idk I'm not an avid reader... I've just watched a long time ago.
It could be that minato had the idea for the rasengan before but when he saw the tailed beast ball and analyzed it. Then he was able to complete it after. But it def sounds like a retcon
How I interpret the “3 years statement” is that he was just developing some kind of jutsu, and that after seeing a Bijuu Bomb he creates Rasengan. I could be wrong on this interpretation, because I’ve only read the one-shot once so far. But if you want to keep it consistent then I guess this might work
ngl, I misremembered that Jiraiya scan. He said it took Minato 3 years to perfect it not create it. Konohamaru is the one who says 3 years then 6 months but I trust Jiraiya over him.
@@sixfromtokyo my friend also pointed out to me that Minato rotating his Rasengans in two different directions might mean it’s twice as strong as normal Rasengan because Databook 4 directly says, “Rasengan Barrage- "Making two kage bunshin, he releases a "rasengan" with both his hands. When the spirals with inverse **rotations clash together, their power increases more than twice." Doesn’t mean much in general since not all Rasengans scale to each other, but I just thought it was interesting thing that was even in the one-shot

I think there's a timeskip rather than a retcon and here's why: The chapter opens with Jiraiya in his 2nd war uniform. This tracks with Minato as he should have fought in the second war at a fairly young age finishing his academy years a little bit before that war ended. However, later when we see Minato and him talking to Kushina it almost seems like he's leading his team at that point. Jiraiya has advanced to his third war outfit, which he then keeps from that point onwards and is likely shortly after he returned from teaching Nagato's group. Additionally, Minatos training grounds are full of failed Rasengans so he's been trying it for quite a while. Jiraiya even leaves to apply for a new mission for himself at this point, not for his team. Taking all of this together, I think it's likely most of the 3 years Minato was working out Rasengan was timeskipped rather than retconned.
Minato was always meant to be a modern day parrallel to Hashirama… they both were hokage that married the jinchuriki of the leaf… both heralded as gods of shinobi… both died relatively young… both possessed Jutsus that were extremely rare amongst the village… both were the strongest of their era and followed up by a weaker hokage focused more in systematic reform upon their passing
So since no one actually understands what is going on here. Kurama is explaining that having the ability to Augment the 8 trigram seal, a extremely powerful seal that normally only a Uzamaki can do is impressive enough that it ranks him alongside Hashirama. The Uzunaji are the absolute best ninja in terms of sealing and it isn't even close, not even a little bit. So having a Non Uzamaki make a Seal created by them is an absurd feat of skill
Always loved Minato ever since I began to understand his will of fire and such from videos on RUclips this one shot was just awesome for minato and kushina
Kurama statements talks about Minato genius like he is a big caliber comparable to Hashirama because he could control difficult things like Hashirama did. It’s not about power or just sealing, it’s more like a globality (power and sealing included)
Jiraiya says in the one shot the Minato had completed the "first stage" of creating a new jutsu, which means he hasn't finished creating it yet. It also makes sense since Minato in the one-shot had only mastered the rotation aspect of the rasengan and we know that when Naruto was learning it the first stage he had to complete was rotation
The stages of the rasengan is rotation, containment in the ball then containment on your own. It’s clearly at that third level. Now one could say it took Minato to master the jutsu in terms of how it’s used or how big it is (for whatever reason his normal rasengan in the Naruto manga is the size of Naruto’s original oodama version. Even in this manga the size is comparable) or him taking 3 years try to add a chakra nature on top of the jutsu but gave up by the time he’s jonin leader of team Minato at age 18
Here's my explanation which makes most sense to me : Since hashirama was able to collect all bijuu like toys using his wood style which supressed bijuu chakra, kurama seeing that minato was able to subdue his chakra using his seals makes him hashirama level skilled.
@@john_negs7720 we all know minato is nowhere near hashitama's strength/power. It was pretty clear in war arc as well, kcm minato was no match for hashirama. Only thing consistent about minato has always been is that he was exceptionally talented prodigy. So in terms of skill he could be comparable to hashi, but not power wise.
Yeah I find the idea that Minato was a comparable shinobi to Hashirama is honestly pretty consistent. There's more to being a shinobi than just raw power. Factors such as intelligence, intuition, and other such factors are just as important when it comes to deciding a ninja's capacity. It's why someone like Kakashi, who had very few AP feats aside from the raikiri for a good portion of the series' runtime, was able to consistently compete with S-tier ninja even without needing to use Kamui. I think if we're comparing Minato to Hashirama in terms of overall ability, Hashirama would absolutely cliff Minato in terms of raw power, but Minato would beat him in terms of intellect, speed, and even versatility due to how many different ways he could use the jutsu in his arsenal. Through that lens, when taking EVERYTHING into account, it's pretty consistent that someone as wise and intelligent as Kurama would see Minato as Hashirama's equal as a shinobi.
I am not buying too much into that cause even Itachi was said to be as great if not greater than Hashirama as a Shinobi which was stated by Hashirama himself....you could say that when Minato becomes Kurama's jinchuriki but not before that cause I really don't see any thing in terms of feat to put Minato anywhere near Madara's level before becoming a perfect jinchuriki let alone Hashirama
@@DS-dw3pzthe Itachi statement was never about ability at all though, Hashirama was talking about the sacrifices Itachi made and the quality of his character
This might be the video that takes you to another level. Just starting the video but the title alone let me understand your your thought process. Good shit
Even tho I completely disagree with this Minato wank, I really do appreciate the ammount of work you put into your videos and go indepth about all arguments and translations. Good work Six Note: Please stop using ChatGPT for translations. I once tried to use it to translate a Databook Page and it was trading Rock Lee's name for Might Guy all pages. And when it refeered to "Eight Gates" it constantly was saying "The Power of Might Guy's prowess". Another translation I tried to do was for one of the summaries in the chapters and for some reason, I don't even know how it came up with that translation it said that "Naruto takes down Gaara with a Rasengan to the head" when he literally didn't even have the Rasengan yet. ChatGPT is wierd af.
My idea is that Minato finished developing the Rasengan at 17 near the end of the war, him being a year older when he gets his own squad meaning he'd only been Hokage for maximum 5 or so years and dying at 25 years old, so in the span of 12 years he fought 2 Jinchuuriki, developed the Rasengan, mastered FTG, became Hokage, ended the 3rd war by allying with another strong nation, him and Kushina having Naruto and then dying with Minato at 25 years old. (yes, I do believe Minato started making the Rasengan at 13, we know he's been around Kushina since the academy so at the very least, he'd have been 13 as a Chunin and 17 as a Jonin, he'd finish the Rasengan within the last 6 months after advice from Jirayah, making it a 3 and a half year development of the Rasengan and it's impressive considering it takes Naruto the same amount of time to be able to use it without clones or Kurama's chakra.)
13:32 I think the comparison between Minato and Hashirama is similar to Kakazu fight Naruto with Rasen-Shuriken "surpassing" Kakashi even though in an actual fight that Naruto would be hard pressed to not get a Lightning Blade ran through him or get Kamui'd away to even get the opportunity to use a Jutsu like the Rasen-Shuriken.
I would say this analysis is spot on. While not quite as old and developed during his fight with Minato in the hidden leaf(if we can call it a fight.lol), Obito has proven to be one of the most durable and physically obstinate characters in the series. And Minato strikes him so hard with one rasengan, that Obito opted to flee rather than re-strategize. Couple that with the statements that state Rasengan can carve mountains, alongside Minatos speed which undoubtedly enhances striking power, and you have a Shinobi that is up there with the big boys.
I never understood why some people think all tail beast bombs of all sizes are equal. And also the nine tails being at full power in the seal. They try to misinform. Thanks for the video. Minato still op
I have one issue, biju bombs are always compressed at the end of the attack, the biju bomb minato clashed with wasn’t finished and so wasn’t compressed yet so I don’t think the size factors there. 17:56
I think he’s clearly talking about his skill level when saying he ranks with hashirama, obviously sealing is not a strength feat, so I don’t think he’s saying he’s as strong as hashirama just as skilled, which makes a lot of sense. Minato is probably one of if not the most skilled shinobi ever, especially when you consider what he was doing at his age
Pretty much I have no idea why anyone just didn’t interpret it that way! that’s literally all that was being illustrated. He also says kushina is stronger than he is shortly afterwards yet you don’t aren’t jumping at that now are they 😂 shows you the double standards here. they wanna take every statement at face value without analyzing the meaning of the statement and why it’s being made and the context behind it.
2:45 my interpretation is that Minato knew of Bijuudama and had a basic grasp of how it worked and sought out to replicate it with the Rasengan, but upon seeing it up he lose he got a better grasp of how it worked and was finally able to perfect it
I forgot that Kakashi and Gai were in the background. Thing is, Minato took 3 years to learn the Rasengan. It's a bit of a stretch for him to make an A-Rank jutsu from age 10 so being 15 at best makes sense.
It's not a retcon. He was developing the jutsu for 3 years, and he kept on practicing it and perfecting it before the manga. The manga takes place during the time where he perfected it.
I don't think it's a retcon because Minato doesn't claim he's starting to invent a new jutsu. He says he's going away to work on an incomplete jutsu. That could imply he'd already been working on it and had simply failed to complete it until that point in time. Regardless, if you choose to consider this story a retcon, it's only implication is placing Minato on a better pedestal.
@@sixfromtokyo Yo thanks for the reply. I was not expecting it. But, real talk. I'm still on the bench between it. If I'm right, it implies Minato began developing the Rasengan at 12 or 13. With what we've seen of Boruto's intelligence (creating the vanishing rasengan accidentally and intentionally making the compression rasengan) at the same age... it doesn't seem impossible. But, it still sounds crazy. Anyways, I look forward to the next take- especially another cross-verse battle. Your Vader and Obito video was genuinely really interesting. It's a bit of shame so many channels copied it without crediting your initial take. I'm not sure if you're big on DmC, but I think a lot of people would find Adult Sasuke vs Virgil interesting.
So I see a lot of people talking about the statement about Hashirama and Minato being about sealing, and even though you addressed your thoughts on this, I have something to add as well. If Kurama was actually talking about only sealing, or the act of sealing, then it’s actually still an incredible statement. Hashirama’s wood style specifically suppresses tailed beast chakra. Like you said, Hashirama himself is not a great sealer, Mito is, it’s his wood style that makes him able to hold back the tailed beasts and hand them out like candy. Considering that, Minato’s normal non-Uzamaki sealing feat is more impressive than using wood style which is just a no diff against tailed beasts. Consider how Madara and 14 year old Obito are both able to subjugate Kurama with their MS. Does that mean that kid Obito is as powerful as adult EMS Madara that was rivaling Hashirama? No, it’s just that MS genjutsu is a direct counter to tailed beasts, just as wood style is. It’s like playing rock paper scissors and Hashirama and Madara are using scissors against the tailed beasts paper while Minato is trying to use paper against paper and still winning. That’s why it’s so much more impressive even if you try to pussyfoot the statement around
Minato is insane and I want more of these like hiruzen would be cool and there are plenty of other deserving characters like more elaboration on kakashi or itachi I’m sure would also be fan favorites but even beyond the obvious choices I would not mind seeing characters who were more underserved in screen time (cough* swing set) getting their perspectives and overall development confirmed and put on panel
Lol I already knew minato fanboys were gonna do this bs, we already gotta deal with these dudes thinking he can blitz and 2 shot everyone Now they can be stupid and take thr hashi statement at face value
I chalk up the retcon to either somehow being a time skip or maybe it’s just something Jiraiya told Naruto to make him work harder and the story just stayed every time Rasengan was passed down. I can’t imagine Kishi would forget something like that
forgot to mention that the tetragram seal is enhanced when someone feels love. Mito nailed this logic into Kushina when they were talking. It's also believed because it's enhanced by love, only those who love the bearer of it can enter their space. What I'd like to believe is that the more love you have for the person the stronger you are within the realm and the weaker the tailed beast is. Since the tetragram is still a seal
Hashirama didn’t need to be proficient in sealing with the Uzumaki clan being one the Senju’s closest allies. It would be more diplomatic for him to ask rather than do it himself. Minato’s doting nature towards Kushina is the first thing to challenge Kurama’s hate. Developing the rasengan & learning Uzumaki sealing techniques where so Minato could support Kushina.
I love this video so much it confirms everything I said and speculated and I think it makes sense cause minatos rasengan destroyed the battle field even though he didn’t release its full power so he could mark obito . The comparisons of minato hashirama and obito and madara are so good . I think minatos dura is pretty good though tanking that hit .
I think that besides the Six Path characters there are 4 Shinobi who can hang with Minato and they are all the reincarnations of Indra and Ashura. And while I don't think Minato could beat Madara or Hashirama, I bet money that he'd impress either of them. Sure he'd lose to them, but he also was a good twenty years younger then them when he died. And he did not have someone to push him to be as strong as those other two. He didn't have that rival who could challenge him push him to his limits and make him grow. Cause he's beating any of the Sanin at 15 or so years old. There is no one alive who can fight him at this level. He is more powerful then 4th Raikage A, to the point the man didn't think anyone could surpass Minato. Give him a rival of similar power and 20 more years and Minato would be the next God of Shinobi.
I don't know why we have to pick everything apart all the time. I really like the video and you did a great job with it, I just think we tend to pick at everything. It's just a one shot....we can't expect Kishimoto to remember every detail of his series, lol. Either way, thanks for the video. Also, the fact that Minato was creating this for Kusina, means the regular rasengan we see isn't what it was meant to be. The big ball rasengan was meant to be the normal sized one?
There was a 3 year timeskip. You can tell by Jiraiya's outfits. It just makes no sense how a younger Minato could beat the 9 tails then lose to the 9 tails later in life.
They were saying a Prodigy that's God Tier similar to Hashirama Senju. Hashirama was a Senju, which means he was skilled in everything. Most of Hashirama's jutsu was created by him and he could augment the Wood Release for different occasions. Augmenting an Uzumaki Seal is extremely hard, so him doing so is a huge feat. Like Kotoamtsukami augmenting the Talisman Mind Control on Edo Itachi. Or a child who took computer science able to augment an AI's code to make it better.
I don’t really think that Minato using the Rasengan is “mastering” it. It’s more ambiguous to me, as “mastering” the Rasengan could mean more than one successful use of it in battle. It also isn’t 100% clear how long he’s been practicing the Rasengan. Let me know if you agree or disagree!
I think it was some sort of gag created where since Minato is speed focused on all of his attributes the one place he is slow is by giving his jutsu and techniques ridiculous and long names
I think what kurama comparing to Hashirama is not Minato's sealing jutsu ability, but his ability to weaken him. Since, like Hashirama's Mokuton, he's able to supress his chakra. Even though the seal was extremely weakened.
Ok so I took a crack at this back when it came out and posted my own translation to ThunderGod which I’ll post in this thread. As background, I’ve formally studied Japanese in university as well. To note, all of the translations aren’t too different, just need context (honestly that’s Japanese to English in a nutshell, context matters). I got to the same conclusion for the most part
I'm taking a crack at the translation, gonna break it down piece by piece. Unfortunately, most of the times translations especially from Japanese to English where the sentence structures and grammar is very different causes there to be multiple interpretations, so I'll give my best (for context, I've formally studied Japanese for about 3 years now and although my conversation skills are rusty, I still keep up with the language reading and writing). The first sentence 四封印を自己流で増強して やがる! is not difficult to break down. 四封印 is the tetragram or four symbol seal that is used for the kyuubi jinchuriki (Kushina & Naruto both have this seal). を is simply a direct object that comes immediately before the verb with the noun before (in English it's typically the opposite. An example is "I buy flowers" being はなを買います = flowersはな = flowers and 買い = to buy and ます = present/future tense) Bit of a tangent but to continue, 自己流で増強して can be broken into 自己流 (meaning own way/own style with the main kanji 自 meaning one's self). で at least in this sentence as a particle just means “and”. 増強して with the て (-te) form being an extremely useful form of conjugation that has a ton of uses. Simply here, combined with the 増強し it's basically saying he's enhancing or any synonym to enhance or increase. やがる - Not gonna lie, haven't ran into this but doing research it's a verb ending kinda similar to the あげる/くれる /もらう but here's the translation off a Japanese grammar website: "verb stem + やがる is used to express contempt for something or hatred for something / someone. It is a strong form, with a vulgar sound, and would not be used in normal conversation. It is more frequently encountered in rough language in manga or movies etc." So, to combine it all, this sentence can be translated to and this is Kurama speaking about Minato (based off the やがる it's in disdain or hatred that this happened): "He enhanced the tetragram seal in his own style/ability/way! Incredible!" Now to the next sentence, 初代柱間以来の忍か・・・こんなやつがまだ・・・!To start off, the 初代柱間 means First Hashirama with 初代 (shodai) is what is used to signalize first generation and is used when talking about the 1st generation Kage. Translator didn't make it up cause typically just having this can easily translate to Lord First and in this case Lord First Hashirama. Still, not a big deal but it is meant to give title to Hashirama as the 1st Hokage. 以来の忍か is a bit tricky especially since the 3 dots after typically means that one is still talking as a run-on sentence or a pause in a sentence. Anytime a sentence ends with か it's like a question mark (well, there's some cases sentences can combine and there still be a か at the end of the first sentence which this seems to be one of those cases). Like your translator friend said TG, the 来 is the verb stem for 来る = to come but means - "ever since" Given the dots, we can infer this sentence: "A shinobi since the Lord First Hashirama" Then, こんなやつがまだ is pretty much a phrase that is showing how surprised Kurama is. So to be honest the Viz and OPscans translations aren't too far off. You kinda have to say it in your own words the second sentence involving Hashirama since there's no direct translation. But for the most part, Kurama states Minato enhanced the seal in his own way and no one since Hashirama has been able to do that which Kurama is amazed at. So for me, this just means that even as a teen, Minato's sealing jutsu skill and more in particular his bijuu suppression jutsu (by way of seals opposed to Madara by genjutsu and Hashirama wood style sealing/brute force) hasn't been seen since Hashirama. This is EXCLUDING Uzumaki clan members given the context of the panel before with Kurama stating this brat isn't even an Uzumaki. So outside of the Uzumaki, only Hashirama compared to suppressing a bijuu using sealing jutsu in their own way (again, Madara used either brute force or genjutsu and while Hashi could use brute force, he had sealing too). So yes, this is in regards to his skill mainly in sealing jutsu
To be more clear in terms of my direct translation (the TLDR version), I got: He enhanced the Tetragram seal in his own style (or ability or way)! Incredible! A shinobi since the Lord First Hashirama… such a person still exists! The last part of the sentence is just a phrase that Kurama is saying both in shock and anger that Minato is capable of doing this which we know since the previous sentence as all four scans and myself directly translates to: This brat! He’s not even of the Uzumaki clan
@@emssasukeisunderrated7946 These were my thoughts on that debate as well lol. Like the fact that he went out of his way to say "and he's not an Uzumaki".
I’m seeing people DOWNPLAYING his feat against Kurama just because Kushina’s chains were present, when all they were doing was slowing down the progression of Kurama’s power. By the time that Minato slam dunked that rasengan into kushina (lol) EIGHT tails of V2 chakra had manifested in the real world. As if that feat somehow scales below even the weakest TBB from Kurama (four tails Naruto). ALSO, this is crazy, this one shot implies Kushina learned the rasengan and used it in battle. Minato could also have BEEN learning the rasengan and encountering Han and Roshi multiple times. If that’s the case it’s not a retcon.
The point of the chain is suppress and restrain not only restrain. While you’re right downplaying is crazy. But I just wanted to add that it is not just restraint. Fighting the strongest bijuu at the time at an early age is crazy
@@mhmmidk9449 Kushina’s chains were stopping Kurama from fully breaking out along side Minato’s sealing. For reference that was just before 50% of Kurama busted out of chibaku Tensei. That’s insane.
I don't consider addressing context as downplaying, Kurama had two seals on him from both Minato and kushina. It's honestly baffling how anyone can, with a straight face, accept Mindscape feats as representations of one's actual abilities. At this point, that believe is more than complete nonsense.
Maybe the rest of the 3 years were spent trying to combine it with his chakra nature?
I like the idea of Minato being in a similar tier to Hashirama, it straightens the earlier notion of him being the strongest earlier in the story, like what if in terms of power he could be a blonder, less experienced, more poised, more adroit Hashirama without wood style or asura reincarnate hax, with an incredible aptitude for Sealing jutsu
Watching the Ai constantly spell Minatos name wrong is S tier comedy. Made the whole video hilarious, for me.

Be honest bro you’re somewhat new to the Naruto/Boruto community.
He can’t beat might guy
Mee to man
Kurama statements talks about Minato genius like he is a big caliber comparable to Hashirama because he could control difficult things like Hashirama did. It’s not about power or just sealing, it’s more like a globality (power and sealing included)
These subtitles are crazy ! Apart from that, fantastic video as usual
i literally just forgot that minato in this one-shot is a teenager, which makes this feat even more impressive
True, maybe he also got damaged from using it like Naruto did with the Rasenshuriken, so it took 3 more years for him to use it safely.
@@emssasukeisunderrated7946minato raden is different from naruto just like how borutos is different..people have different chakra

@@ujjwalgupta5705 Minato is stated the strongest Kage multiple times hashis feats are overrated asf

Gotta end the day woth another six video. Keep it up my guy 💯👌
I need a video of just minato seeing jutsus and having to come up with ideas for what their name could be cause this guy is mad hilarious.

2:45 my interpretation is that Minato knew of Bijuudama and had a basic grasp of how it worked and sought out to replicate it with the Rasengan, but upon seeing it up he lose he got a better grasp of how it worked and was finally able to perfect it
The captions in the video had me dying Fam lmao
Been waiting to long for this but finally
The subtitles are funny, nice touch
I forgot that Kakashi and Gai were in the background. Thing is, Minato took 3 years to learn the Rasengan. It's a bit of a stretch for him to make an A-Rank jutsu from age 10 so being 15 at best makes sense.
It's not a retcon. He was developing the jutsu for 3 years, and he kept on practicing it and perfecting it before the manga. The manga takes place during the time where he perfected it.
These captions are killing me 😂. The rossington instead of Rasengan is killing me 😂 10:30
The subtitles are amazing.
Yea in hindsight I kinda overlooked it and immediately went to retcon in my head.

Minato is honestly my favorite character. His fights are so fun to watch.

Lol I already knew minato fanboys were gonna do this bs, we already gotta deal with these dudes thinking he can blitz and 2 shot everyone
Now they can be stupid and take thr hashi statement at face value
The subtitles are golden.
Damn this is a really good vid
We need to investigate Hashirama like u did here bro since ur expert at it😊
Hashirama didn’t need to be proficient in sealing with the Uzumaki clan being one the Senju’s closest allies. It would be more diplomatic for him to ask rather than do it himself. Minato’s doting nature towards Kushina is the first thing to challenge Kurama’s hate. Developing the rasengan & learning Uzumaki sealing techniques where so Minato could support Kushina.

Bruh these captions are hilarious 😆
I don’t really think that Minato using the Rasengan is “mastering” it. It’s more ambiguous to me, as “mastering” the Rasengan could mean more than one successful use of it in battle. It also isn’t 100% clear how long he’s been practicing the Rasengan. Let me know if you agree or disagree!
Bro this is Minato’s Strongest Supporter, Six W
I think it was some sort of gag created where since Minato is speed focused on all of his attributes the one place he is slow is by giving his jutsu and techniques ridiculous and long names
I think what kurama comparing to Hashirama is not Minato's sealing jutsu ability, but his ability to weaken him. Since, like Hashirama's Mokuton, he's able to supress his chakra. Even though the seal was extremely weakened.
Honestly, I like how the subtitles are absolutely scuffed
An example is "I buy flowers" being はなを買います = flowersはな = flowers and 買い = to buy and ます = present/future tense)
Bit of a tangent but to continue, 自己流で増強して can be broken into 自己流 (meaning own way/own style with the main kanji 自 meaning one's self).
It is more frequently encountered in rough language in manga or movies etc."
So, to combine it all, this sentence can be translated to and this is Kurama speaking about Minato (based off the やがる it's in disdain or hatred that this happened):
"He enhanced the tetragram seal in his own style/ability/way! Incredible!"
Now to the next sentence, 初代柱間以来の忍か・・・こんなやつがまだ・・・!To start off, the 初代柱間 means First Hashirama with 初代 (shodai) is what is used to signalize first generation and is used when talking about the 1st generation Kage.
Like your translator friend said TG, the 来 is the verb stem for 来る = to come but means - "ever since"
Given the dots, we can infer this sentence: "A shinobi since the Lord First Hashirama"
Then, こんなやつがまだ is pretty much a phrase that is showing how surprised Kurama is.
To be more clear in terms of my direct translation (the TLDR version), I got:
He enhanced the Tetragram seal in his own style (or ability or way)! Incredible!
A shinobi since the Lord First Hashirama… such a person still exists!
The last part of the sentence is just a phrase that Kurama is saying both in shock and anger that Minato is capable of doing this which we know since the previous sentence as all four scans and myself directly translates to:
This brat!
I know that they’d suppress chakra, but given that 8 whole tails manifested in the physical world had Minato not busted out the rasengan Kurama would’ve been on the brink of escaping. For reference that was just before 50% of Kurama busted out of chibaku Tensei. That’s insane.
I don't consider addressing context as downplaying, Kurama had two seals on him from both Minato and kushina. He clashed with the incomplete Biju bomb but Kurama was being bound by both of their seal's, so it's impressive that his new rasengan was able to clash with it but it wasn't as grand as clashing with a full powered version.
@@cheeseburgerfreddy6350 I don’t believe that he scales to a full power Kurama either…but it’s a fact that a suppressed Bijuu Bomb from 8 tails of Kurama is>>the 6 tails Naruto Bijuu Bomb and 4 tails Naruto Bijuu Bomb and very likely above a standard Bijuu TBB since Minato invented it to fight prime Han and Roshi. I’ve been seeing people say that the feat is UNSCALABLE and “not impressive” which blows my mind
@@hobbyhorse5848 how many tails appear doesn’t really matter
naruto beat it with 9 tails to get kcm but it was half the nine tails
Minato matched it for a bit with 8 tails but it was weakned
8tails >8 tails weanked
9 tails> 9tails half
*"Team Darius"*
Anyway amazing analyses.
please mess up the captions again this is hilarious
Maybe im stupid or just dont understand. I think it's totally possible (if not implied) that Minato could've been working on the rasengan for almost 3 years, saw those biju bombs, then was able to complete the jutsu. That doesnt feel like a retcon to me.
Yea it's not far fetched.
That’s how I interpreted it
It was a timeskip in the middle of the manga. It starts off with 14-15 year old Minato and ends with 17-18 year old Minato.
See this is impossible if it was a skip at all it would be from 12-15. Minato is 10 years older than Kakashi there is no way he can be 17 or 18
These captions are wild.
Maybe he had been working on it for 3 years, and the battle with the tailed beast was the big “ahhh haaa” moment
I think its pretty cool that orochimaru is edsentially out here using wish versions of hashiramas jutsus.
W Fucking vid Six bro laid out all the information hella well
I love how the captions are out of control.

@@sixfromtokyo thank you!!!! Your a life saver! Also, great video

What's the OST in the intro of the video? I remember hearing it somewhere, can't seem to remember where.
Death Note - Reasoning
@@sixfromtokyo oh so that’s what it was! Thanks! Great vid btw.
It's honestly baffling how anyone can, with a straight face, accept Mindscape feats as representations of one's actual abilities.
At this point, that believe is more than complete nonsense. A decade's weaker Minato with what should be an incomplete Rasengan, against the Full Kyuubi, restrained by a decade's weaker Kushina, can match a Tailed Beast Bomb? Fucking ridiculous. Factually one of the dumbest things to ever happen in this manga.
i knew this sh_t would happen if they made a minato manga I KNEW IT
thats why i had hoped itachi would win
@@resolute7177 I knew it would be bad, but an Itachi manga would have been boring as well. Minato was last on the list of "good" choices imo, but this one-shot is absolutely fucked.
