Was trying to figure out what’s missing and it’s just a theory but it seems like he’s missing that natural timing and fluidity you get from hours and hours of playing street football with no time limits, uncomfortable shoes, no one yelling at you to get off the perfectly manicured pitch because the security staff are waiting to accompany you to the armored SUV, that feeling of attachment to the game knowing that it’s all that you got that brings you joy whether you go pro or not, etc.
Just looks stiff, mechanical, automated, and routine, and it’s not surprising considering his introduction to the game was that it isn’t a game - it’s labor and obligation. And intentional or not, as children we seek approval and admiration from our father so it’s tough to say whether his intense training is to make his dad proud or because he doesn’t want to let him down.
He’s young still, but doesn’t seem to be trending well. He gets by on superior coaching and the work he puts in to his fitness and nutrition now, but kind of concerning he looks so slow and plodding in a weak academy after coming from Juventus and Man U. He should be ripping his peers to shreds and doesn’t appear to even be the best on his own team.
Wouldn’t surprise me in the least bit if he gets his shot at 18-19 off the strength of his family name, gets demoted, then becomes a TikTok influencer and does fashion or something.
lol you are over analyzing with negative intentions of hoping this kid doesn’t find success. He is an extension of his father , he just needs to let loose and let it flow, once he finds that kinda flow he’s going to tear the football world apart.
@@bardownski7858 Why would I want to see a child fail? This is more a commentary on the artificial relationship the young man has with football and the seismic shoes to fill that is 0 fault of his own (or his father for that matter).
It’s important to be truthful and his development isn’t trending towards becoming a high end player. Compare his trajectory to a majority of EPL and La Liga players at his age and they were head and shoulders above their peers. He doesn’t appear to even be the best on his own team in a very weak development academy.
CR7 is the greatest to do it so I never thought he would be equal or better to dad. But it’s discouraging seeing his plodding and the lack of finesse and ease that you saw in average footballers at his age.
Making truthful observations doesn’t mean negative intentions anymore than a teacher giving you a C- on your math exam.
