Lovely, tidy work... as usual. Thanks for giving us that sandpaper tip at the end because I have often seen you reorganise a piece and meant to investigate it further but, then, when I get to the shop a butterfly goes by and I don't remember why I'm standing with a sheet of sandpaper in my hand. I wish you all a wonderful day ahead. You should bring an order book with you. Best Wishes, Brendan.
Hi Bob, Wow you have been very busy! What a wonderful keepsake for the guests. This is a wonderful idea. I have three young children and will have to remember this in about 15 - 20 years. As always, beautiful work. Take care, Carl
Hi, Matt: I can't say I have noticed any issues I would attribute to a lack of mass in the tailstock. The whole lathe only weighs 85 lbs. which would probably be considered rather light for such a large swing. I have done a few bowls in the 8" to 10" diameter range on it without problems. I haven't tried anything bigger or heavier yet. Take care Bob
Hey Bob, That's a great idea, napkin rings for the wedding reception. Will there be special napkins to go with them? I'd like to see how they look with the finish on them. We haven't gotten out of the heat yet. Next week is supposed to be the hottest of the year. It's a good time to stay inside. I look forward to the fall when I can move my lathe outside, too. I haven't tried that yet, but it's a good idea. Larry

I really like the chuck setup you have. The expanding kerf is a neat concept. Cheers

nice ...I enjoy your videos , I have learned alot...Thanks
Good idea having the compressed air handy. Whats the inside diameter?
Hi:
Yes, I make the jig in my video "Turning a Napkin Ring".
Take care
Bob
Very nice, thanks for this.
HI:
My research showed that the usual inside diameter used for napkin rings is 1 1/2", so that is what I have been using.
Take care
Bob
Hi:
They will be given away as keepsakes to the guests at my son's wedding reception.
Take care
Bob
Hi, Jake:
I am not sure how well a skew would work on these due to the grain direction.
Take care
Bob

@bobham5 Thank you for replying. Also that is pretty cool and a great idea. Looked like it helped you a lot in making those.
