Are there PTAC that can dehumidify as well?

Yes, many PTAC units effectively dehumidify while cooling by removing moisture as air passes over the evaporator coil. For enhanced humidity control, consider models like the GE AZHS09DCXXA PTAC, which offers advanced features for moisture removal. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning filters and ensuring proper drainage, will keep the unit operating efficiently.

They probably have a clogged drip pan

Could be a clog in the drainage system, and like the other viewer said, the drip pan can be clogged or cracked.

Yes, PTACs need air filters, and it's important to clean or replace them regularly to keep the unit running efficiently and maintain good air quality. Thanks for stopping by!

Not much difference from a regular window AC i see,

You're right that PTACs and window AC units have some similarities, but the big difference is how PTACs can both heat and cool, and they’re designed for more powerful, consistent use in commercial spaces like hotels and offices. They also offer easier maintenance and are built to last longer than typical window units. Thanks for watching!
