Honda speaks very well, only his japanese accents that are so thick, still sounds beautiful.
Nakata sounds like he controlled his accents, and that makes it unique and beautiful.
All of them here are excellent English speakers.
What’s amazing about Honda is that he never played in an English-speaking country before the twilight of his career in Australia, yet his English is excellent.
Netherlands is basically an english speaking country. He learned English at VVV Venlo
Yoshida speak the most fluent English here maybe because of his long stint in Netherland and Southampton, England
Ryo should be much more fluent since he lived in England for so long, but he's not.
Yoshida sounds like a native but Nakata has a special voice.
Maya has a pretty obvious British accent there, after playing in the UK for so long...
Nakata speaks quite good already. 😍 I remembered he also can speak Italian
Yuto Nagatomo also speak very fluently in Italian and English
These guys are great and give them a lot of props. Compare this to Japanese baseball players who require a translator their whole careers

When I lived in Nagoya, all my schoolmates knew English. Made me feel a little better, since I was only a kid and didn’t know anything but Greek and English. I still don’t speak Japanese fluently, but for being mainly white, I’m pretty damn decent.

I had chances to work with many English speaker coming from Japan. I have to say japaneses are not bad at english, they are just bad at pronunciation because of the habit in pronunciation. Many vocabularies borrowed from the english are added more vowel letters to be adapted to japanese accent such as: hotto doggu (hot dog), baiku (bike), makku donarudo (mac donald)… that makes their pronunciation hard to understand in speaking. I received many email from Japanese engineer and found that they are really good at writing with precise and profound words that i can learn from.

Not really, Italian, French, Spanish players they don't speak English. Even Messi also doesn't speak English at all, yet he has 6 ballon d'or.

The first comment stated that "in order to play in International level, a player need to LEARN English." There is no evidence that he learned it.
To understand some basic words like "yes, thank you, okay etc" you don't need to learn the language. I'm pretty sure you know what "gracias" means although if you never learned Spanish.
@@OlengGerrard La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1 referees they don't speak English, they speak in their respective languages. FIFA has 4 official languages : English, French, German, and Spanish. To understand basic words in English you don't need to learn the language.
