TheRcSaylors yes look them up its called a hard case lipo they are all like that not to many people use them because the banana clips break easy in a hard crash I've had a few to run my revo and i was always breaking them so i went to the normal lipo way better
TheRcSaylors there's a lot of hobbyking turnigy hard case batteries with bullet connectors that go into the battery. I have 5 of them. They were actually kind of nice for organized off-road racing cause you could leave the dean's connected and just pull the bullets out of the pack to swap out. A little quicker if your running multiple classes. Thanks for the video guys!
I have noticed it more on the competition lipo batteries. There was a period when I was using some thing similar with nicad batteries, I think they may have been a Corally saddle pack set up. a tube soldered onto the battery then the banana plug on the esc.
I got one and it's awesome fun. I lost a wheel a few times even after tightening up. I didn't notice it has a slipper (clutch) to save the drive train damage from acceleration. Mine was too tight and after a while the diffs both started slipping, making a horrible grinding sound. Waiting for new parts now. It's also fun to drive as 2wd by removing the crank shaft to the front. Lots of drifting.
Really like this truck can't go wrong with the price and the upgraded parts just add powerful batteries with charger it's a win win situation 🙏🙏🙏🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💪💪💪
I Bought this truck from gearbest mainly because of your video and tested it yesterday, it is an amazing truck, goes over any terrain smooth as silk. Thanks for sharing the videos.
You guys are Awesome!!!! I love all of your video's! I am a military veteran and I was diagnosed with PTSD and Anxiety Disorder. I came across your channel and started watching. It looked like you guys had so much fun flying drones and driving rc ground vehicles. After watching for a while I finally purchased a Syma drone and I have to say it has helped me to relax and so now I am looking into buying an rc ground vehicle. Saw this video and the video on the Snow/ Water truck and they look Awesome. Hopefully I will be able to purchase one of them some time. Again Thank you guys again for your Great video's and reviews. You make me smile and learn at the same time. Thanks guys tell Popeye I said hello and I look forward to your next video
Thank you so much Charles for your service and for your kind words! This hobby really does work wonders for the soul :) It not only gets you outside in some fresh air (most of the time) but it keeps your mind busy too! It's also a great way to meet people and make friends! This one really is awesome by the way, as far as ground vehicles go. It's still holding up for us, and one of our favorite "budget" options on the market in this size. Popeye says hello back, and we all thank you very much!
That's a great truck loved the slow motion I think that's the best truck video u made I can watch this one many times can't wait to show my friends thanks
This is my favourite video because you guys do not review a lot of trucks but when you did review this truck I fell immediately in love with it and raised some money and bought it when I could so I'am very pleased with this vid. and bye the way it's an awesome truck for the price durabillity fun and speed:). and congrads with (almost) a 100k subs, you guys deserve it.
This video is my favourite because you guys really played with it I watched it a few times my 3 year old son made me watch it over and over he loves RC cars. I have not watched all of your videos but watched a lot new subscriber I haven’t yet seen a bad video they all awesome Thanks guys
you can use nail polish as a type of lock tite. it is easy to take your stuff apart yet while you are driving your stuff stays in place. i have also used clear rtv silicone for my wheel nuts in the past.
I just watched the speed vid and then this one. I ordered the brushless while the vid was still playing. Lock-tite on stand by (lol) Thanks again Saylors, appreciate your videos
My truck should arrive on the 23rd.. .can't wait. My traxxis is broken.. again. (typical) You still selling RC Saylor stickers? I may be overlooking the obvious...
FlatRabbit i got mine so cheap im kicking myself for not getting 2! I love mine. Just be sure to set it up properly. Loctite, diff lube, and slipper clutch should slip slightly under full gun.
I like this truck a lot. Paid $150 dollars for it. It had a hand gun full of punch so I backed the slipper off one full turn.. much better. I ordered the 9106S also. (Upgraded version.) I have a metal spur gear and Redcat diffs coming to replace original parts on the 9106 (I hear they don't last long). 9106S should be here this week.
That truck seems to run really well and the big battery is impressive but after the ongoing issues I've had with the ZD Racing 9053 I couldn't bring myself to buy another ZD racing product. The issue with getting spare parts is a big factor as well as long term durability, or as in the case of the 9053 it's short term durability which is measured in minutes. Anyway another great fun review. Thumbs up!
How are you guys not freaking out more about this? This seems like the best truck you've had in a long time! No all caps or exclamation points? But something like the Feiyue FY-10 gets "AWESOME MUST HAVE RC TRUCK" ...I used to watch your videos until they became inundated with toys, and now you finally have something more on the hobby grade side (which is what you're niche used to be, hobby grade toys, or cheap/fun hobby grade models) and I almost missed it.
TheRcSaylors I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to be mean. I just re-read it and it does come off that way. I was just frustrated with all the toys lately. It was meant to be read in an excited voice, not a yelling angry voice. What I was trying to say was I want more stuff like this video!
Well I think you'll be pleased to know that we are actually going to have some higher level quality of products featured on the channel in the very near future :) It's hard to afford always featuring such nice things, and just as you like seeing higher end stuff, a lot of our viewers enjoy seeing more budget friendly options as well. No harm taken. Thanks for clearing that up :)
All my batteries have bullet plugs. Makes it easy if you have different connectors on your ESC. I run Dean's and Traxxas plugs, so I have 2 different battery leads with the appropriate plug depending on the vehicle I'm running.
You should add a bead of glue around where the tire meets the rim. After about 3 runs the tires were coming off. Love this truck, I paid 119 at gearbest and think it's the best value for a first ground vehicle.
Yeah we are really glad we picked this one up too! Glad to hear you are having a similar experience. Just needs a very simple and cheap fix, and we are okay with that :) Thanks for watching!
Did I not suggest you try a ZD monster truck! Glad you guys finally got one and are enjoying it :D Look forward to seeing more ZD products! Heads up gear best are doing the 1/16 brushless touring car atm for $85 US! I got one a while ago for $119 USD for RC moment before Gearbest had them. Such an awesome RC! About as fast top speed as your truck but will get there and stop much quicker. If you have an road RC track it's defiantly worth taking to, it's 4WD and set up for grip not drift, mine grips the road like super glue and is so easy to control and very well built for the price. For $85 it's a steal, totally recommend you get one!
I have just 1 2s Lipo, a Floureon, I got on amazon and it's exactly like that one with the bullet plugs. To me that just makes it more versatile. They'll never come out on accident. If someone doesn't like that, then just don't unplug it. :) It's then like a normal battery. But why it's better is because you can switch out the connection types (most of my stuff takes deans but my Redcat takes bananna plugs), without having to cut & solder wires. You simply buy the connection type you need on ebay. You'll pay probably 2-3 dollars... It was strange that they routed it through the bars like that. That part was sloppy work but at least it was a 1 minute fix.
I want to see you guys start using a stopwatch for the hill climb, and keep track of the times. Use something crazy for a benchmark time like an x maxx or losi xl. this would be a great rating system.
The wheel nuts are typically nylocks which have a plastic insert inside and loctite is not good for plastics, its probably best to just snug them up ever so often.
so the battery is similar to hard case racing batteries that is why there are bullet plugs at the ends. if you look at some of the high end batteries that are hard case you will see the same set up.
I only buy hard cases with removable leads. That allows me to run same batteries on diferent esc plugs, or even lend batteries to a friend that has different plugs
One these days I will have the money saved up to get the truck I want that Y'all showed a video of it was the ZD Racing 10427 s , I may be disabled and have to live on a limited income but that will not stop me, I will get my truck soon . I am addicted to RC Trucks lol.
Thank y'all so much for the promo code . I am so happy to say my truck has been ordered just now thanks to the help of the R C Saylors !!!! . Can't wait for it to get here awesome job Nate and Abby . Could have not been able to get it with out y'alls help. Keep up the awesome work you are both the best.
Wow just watched old video of the thunder 4x4 truck looks fast enough to me especially for bashing.Where do you guys find these cool trucks my rc shop seems to only carry name brand a couple. Off brand crawlers but I see these and wow probably won't break the bank. Two thumbs up.
I haven't read any comments for this video yet, but I am wondering if anyone else saw the butterfly/moth I demolished in the first slow motion sequence. Good editing Nate!
TheAbbyTwirls I usually make it a policy not to get involved in marital spats so I'll just say that whatever it was that truck ate it for lunch. Lol.......... It looked like a butterfly 🦋/moth to me. 😉. -Dan
I never got into bashing because I don't really enjoy breaking and repairing them, nor can I afford to constantly buy replacement parts or new trucks. I'm into making my trucks look realistic to scale, drive realistically, and "must have" a driver (pet peave seeing scale trucks with no driver.) Slow trail runs and rock crawling is what I do. I never want to know how "fast" my trucks can go, but how "slow" can they go and how well can it climb. When making scale accessories and stuff I like 1/12th scale better than 1/10th because it's so much easier to do the math in my head (1 inch = 1 foot).
Standard Hardcase LiPo with plugs on it I would say.... I use such batteries on my 3D printed OpenRC Truggy and OpenRC F1 cars (designed by Barspin / Daniel Norée)
I really like this video because the featured car seems to be a real badass basher and is really affordable. This would be a contender for me to buy if I had the money to do it. Really like it when Abby bashes these cars! 👌😃 Well this isn't a really old vid, but it maybe qualifies for entering the giveaway contest anyways 😃
It’s ok owing an “awesome truck” but what are the spares backup like? You two have a fantastic channel that I watch all the time and it winds me up thinking all them kids whose parents have bought from your recommendations only to bash it break it then cannot find a stockist that supplies spares? Should you find out if spares are available before you recommend them? Only saying! 👍👍
We've since broken parts on this and lost a couple wheel nuts and everything is pretty universal on it. We've had no issues finding replacement parts for this, and if anyone ever reaches out asking about spares, we try to send them in the right direction ;)
The comparable Traxxas stampede is $379.99 and does not come with a battery or charger. The traxxas is faster, but will also be broke in a matter of days. The fun factor and value on this one is way up there in my book. So in short, this one $123, The Traxxas well over $400 to get going. You could have this one, a hobby grade charger, a rc boat, a drone and a helicopter for the price of the Traxxas!
great video!) but please tell me, how do you find this chassis for reliability? electronics, suspension and in general. I will be very grateful for the answer!)
Hi! I'm late, so you probably won't see this, but if you do, I just want to say that the suspension in this truck looked really stiff to me(at least for off-roading). Is that stock, and is it possible to adjust that? Thanks ;)
BTW...your video is interrupting my first foamy scratch build!!! I'm on the wing, I need to concentrate here. SHEESH...first dinner..now this! ...you mine as well just stop by and film here! HAHAHA :-)
We have a good bit of hard case lipo bats and all of them do not do this. Although, it has been a while since we've bought any new ones, so maybe that is just the direction they are going in now.
Most race batteries are like this one, but Nate's right it's unusual to see it on a bash truck. Racer's prefer batteries with the bullet connectors and have them wired straight to the ESC. Less connectors equals less resistance.
I hear that from kids alot, sbout how much faster their brothers Armma is or something like that. I like to tell them that faster does not make them better. I explain that by going faster and you hit something,it will break,or hurt someone. I ask them if going fast on their bike and then falling off it hurts more than going slower. I am suprised to hear them say faster because really, anytime I fell off my bike,it hurt period. lol. I also explain that RC vehicles using fuel are more expencive and yes they go faster but that it still doesnt make them better. Kids look at things differently than adults. I think you need to make a repair kit or bag to bring along. I have one for all my vehicles. Usually its in the same bag as the remote and vehicle go in. I try to make sure I carry tools and different fasteners as well as zip ties to tie down those loose wires, electrical tape( A must) Some wire( spare batter leads from dead batterys) I have a battery powered soldering iron and a battery powered hot glue gun as well as two tubes of dollar store super glue and a tube of seal all,or other adhesives to use in an emergency. You wouldnt leave home without a first aide kit in your car would you? ( say it isnt so) Well, you should have one for your RC's too. Then do a video showing everyone what you did( I would be so proud) Lol.
Which one will be a better option you think between FS Victory and this ZD Thunder?? I have seen you have that FS Victory, so having almost a same price range which one will you prefer?
If you want to own this awesome truck, check it out here - goo.gl/ZZjY2J
Don't forget the promo code! - RC18OFF
you guys NEED TO try the WLToys A959-b. it is amazing
TheRcSaylors yes look them up its called a hard case lipo they are all like that not to many people use them because the banana clips break easy in a hard crash I've had a few to run my revo and i was always breaking them so i went to the normal lipo way better

I wanted to let you guys know the RC18OFF code expired. I've tried it numerous times over the past week and it's a no go 😔
I have noticed it more on the competition lipo batteries. There was a period when I was using some thing similar with nicad batteries, I think they may have been a Corally saddle pack set up. a tube soldered onto the battery then the banana plug on the esc.
You two are so lucky to have each other! I sure wish my wife shared the enthusiasm for any rc hobby. Congratulations you two.
Best truck ever. Really underestimated.
Glad to hear you like this RC so much! We actually Still have ours! (Check upload date) 👍😁😎⚓

This little truck is pretty quick, I defenally will buy this for my self. Great video.
I love this video because the slow motion parts of the video are amazing and i just love how that truck drives!
Wow...Epic slow motion with the music I saw me in that vehicle spitting out the dirt.
That thing is a beast! It almost survived Abby. Bad to the bone. Cool slow-mo. Great video.
I Bought this truck from gearbest mainly because of your video and tested it yesterday, it is an amazing truck, goes over any terrain smooth as silk. Thanks for sharing the videos.
So glad you like it too Flying Free!! We still have ours and really like it too :) Have a great day and thanks for sharing!

May I just say..this is still an amazing truck and one of my all time favorites!!
I liked the first run in slo mo, it looked like the truck was trying to eat the butterfly!
I saw that too after it made it in the editor :) I think that might have been a grass hopper ;)
That's a great truck loved the slow motion I think that's the best truck video u made I can watch this one many times can't wait to show my friends thanks
Thank you so much April :)

If you spin that battery around so the leads are in the back you don’t have to take it apart every time. Love your videos!
every TRAXXAS fan in the history of mankind: 6:54 NAILED IT!! lol
;-D
fr every traxxas fanboy. i prefer the cheap amazon/gearbest/bang good rc's
This video is my favourite because you guys really played with it I watched
it a few times my 3 year old son made me watch it over and over he loves RC
cars. I have not watched all of your videos but watched a lot new subscriber I haven’t
yet seen a bad video they all awesome Thanks guys
Love the disc golf basket in background.. really enjoy all all the videos
you can use nail polish as a type of lock tite. it is easy to take your stuff apart yet while you are driving your stuff stays in place. i have also used clear rtv silicone for my wheel nuts in the past.
Seen those type of batteries on amazon and I think they are just genius!!! Sweet truck guys!!!
I actually race those types of batteries that plug into the casing, they are actually great batteries, as always, great video :)
You guys are awesome at reviewing rc cars
I love this video because you did really well and I love the look of this truck thank you for making videos for low budget people like me
I love your channel guys. You honestly brighten my day with you videos. such a happy couple.
was checking this RC car out as my first ever buy so glad you reviewed this!
That's awesome dave :)
I see another addition love you guys
You can flip the battery to the other side
I bought one thanks to this video. If you put the battery in with the plugs at the other end you don't need to run it through the frame.
I just watched the speed vid and then this one. I ordered the brushless while the vid was still playing. Lock-tite on stand by (lol) Thanks again Saylors, appreciate your videos
That is awesome Flat! You're going to love it :) We still have ours and use it regularly. My Dad loves this truck too.
Love the truck just the way it is don't need nothing done too it
I very much agree :-)
Not sure how to take this passively rude comment :/
119 at gearbest with code USOL44 if you wanna play with one
All my batteries have bullet plugs. Makes it easy if you have different connectors on your ESC. I run Dean's and Traxxas plugs, so I have 2 different battery leads with the appropriate plug depending on the vehicle I'm running.
Best channel ever
:-D
I agree with Abby I have a stampede with a castle up grade motor its so ridiculously fast it's hard to run it except in perfect locations
That was a bashing! LOL
Looks like you are both having a lot of fun with it
You should add a bead of glue around where the tire meets the rim.
Glad you guys finally got one and are enjoying it :D
Look forward to seeing more ZD products! Watched the full video rewiew was awesome 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏻
THE RC SAYLORS ARE 😉 and awesome 4*4 Truck
I threw a 60amp ezrun esc and adjusted the slipper Clutch, added some stiffer springs. This will run 50mph on 3s and crazy jumps!
Nice truck. I like some of the crawlers that are out now too. Great video. Thanks. Robert
Woot woot, always great videos from the rc saylors
Thanks :)

The ACME Flash racing buggy brushless edition has that type of battery available for it referring to the bullet connectors
wow, awesome ground clearance for that hill!
Love bashing trucks on this hill :)
I want to see you guys start using a stopwatch for the hill climb, and keep track of the times. Use something crazy for a benchmark time like an x maxx or losi xl. this would be a great rating system.
That sounds like fun :-)
The wheel nuts are typically nylocks which have a plastic insert inside and loctite is not good for plastics, its probably best to just snug them up ever so often.
You are right. Should have just given them a little snug tightening before this run :/
Woaaaaa....yeah...gonna get me one of these.
I fpv'd this truck. I love it.
Awesome :)
Great video. Thx. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks for tuning in!
This video is awesome I love everyone of ur videos

Rick Petty How has it been?!
awesome great driving Abby YA Wooo
Thanks :-P
Awesome RC love love the video and love RC cars
Pretty amazed you've never seen a battery like this.
It's probably because we just have good quality bats and haven't needed to buy any for a couple years now. This just happened to come with this one.
this tipe of setup had been for some time around
gigiboxa type
Awesome truck and video loved the traxxas joke LMAO
great filming guys
Nice truck I wouldn't mind having one of those cool video guys 👍
Yeah we are impressed with this :) Super fun and just an awesome price! Thanks for watching!
Wow just watched old video of the thunder 4x4 truck looks fast enough to me especially for bashing.Where do you guys find these cool trucks my rc shop seems to only carry name brand a couple. Off brand crawlers but I see these and wow probably won't break the bank. Two thumbs up.
That is a cool Rc car
Love it for the price!
Love your channel guy's! Awesomeness
Thanks for watching!
I haven't read any comments for this video yet, but I am wondering if anyone else saw the butterfly/moth I demolished in the first slow motion sequence. Good editing Nate!
Grass Hopper ;)
TheRcSaylors I think you are wrong. I see wings flapping!
TheAbbyTwirls I usually make it a policy not to get involved in marital spats so I'll just say that whatever it was that truck ate it for lunch. Lol..........
It looked like a butterfly 🦋/moth to me. 😉. -Dan
I’m definitely going to get one of these
They are super fun for the $$ :) We still have ours and it's holding up really well after replacing that wheel nut.
When making scale accessories and stuff I like 1/12th scale better than 1/10th because it's so much easier to do the math in my head (1 inch = 1 foot).
Another great video guys, keep it up!;)
Super awesome video
Thank you :)
like your slow mo. nice truck. put a 3s in it
So cool hope you got this pic my friend Alan had sent you on a text message of a rc truck with your guys sticker on it
When did a 'banana' plug/jack become a 'bullet' plug/jack? Remember, "Old-farts" like me go WAY back to the 60s/70s.
Guess what we might build the Lego drone you gave us tommorow yay
Abigail Drain Awww, that was super cool of them. Good luck with it and have fun!
MyBigThing2010 thxs 🙂
Yay! Have fun!! Can't wait to see you flying next summer! -Abby
Abigail Drain Damn u are lucky only some people are lucky like u. U should appreciate how kind they are.
Arshdeep Thind I do appreciate
So cool you guys are so cool love you guys hope you saw my friend Allen sent you a pic of me and my rc car with the rcsaylors sticker on it
Nice video guys best channel in the world
Thank you very much :-)
TheRcSaylors :) ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Well this isn't a really old vid, but it maybe qualifies for entering the giveaway contest anyways 😃
I've never seen a ready to run with a bullet plug, but my kit car uses bullet plugs just what I prefer.
That battery would be a deal breaker. I'd have to switch it out immediately. Never seen anything like that before.
Love the video 👏💪
great video!) but please tell me, how do you find this chassis for reliability? electronics, suspension and in general. I will be very grateful for the answer!)
Notice the upload date of this video. We still have and love this truck with no issues to date besides losing one body clip :-)
@@TheRcSaylors Thank you!))
Hi! I'm late, so you probably won't see this, but if you do, I just want to say that the suspension in this truck looked really stiff to me(at least for off-roading). Is that stock, and is it possible to adjust that? Thanks ;)
I just bought a four-wheel drive Trail truck made by Horizon that has the same bullet plugs that go into the battery
Hello Nate/ Abbie im a big fan of the hill coulf you try the water truck on the hill. Thanks
:)
We might have to give it a shot Suraj!
nice test run! I like the Disc Golf course in the background. Do y'all play?
nice video liked it
Nice shirt, Nate
Bullet plugs are common on higher end hard case lipo batteries.
BTW...your video is interrupting my first foamy scratch build!!! I'm on the wing, I need to concentrate here. SHEESH...first dinner..now this! ...you mine as well just stop by and film here! HAHAHA :-)
MyBigThing2010 don't get burnt on the hot glue ;)
Will Mercier too late...times 14! Lol
very common its called a hard case lipo they all come like that that is all hard case lipos
Less connectors equals less resistance.
good vid !
Yeah more truck
Nice video! The lipo is so weird ! I wonder if there are decent parts available
Flying Life RC REVIEWS ACTUALLY, it's a pretty common style battery. Reference "hard case lipo"
MyBigThing2010 really. That's interesting I've got a hard case battery for my arrma but mine isn't like that. Thanks for the info
Great video, I found your channel a few weeks ago and it's awesome. What camera did you film this video with?
Then do a video showing everyone what you did( I would be so proud) Lol.
with trial driving can be just as rewarding to drive slowly over difficult ground, as driving fast. I have broken enough stuff going fast.
Which one will be a better option you think between FS Victory and this ZD Thunder?? I have seen you have that FS Victory, so having almost a same price range which one will you prefer?
