I love this; I grew up on the poem. I love how it was just so casual back then, "Perhaps she'll die." 😁

I remember this silly funny song from childhood.
I love your analysis and speed talking.

This is the first time I’ve heard this song all the way through. Sure brought back a very old memory 😀😀

My Dad used to sing this when we were kids. Its all farm animals. So he added sheep. I know an old lady who swallowed a sheep, it went right down without a peep. The animation is not as old as the song itself. The fly was never explained, no grapes in the song. :)

I vaguely remember singing this in school or something, but I don't remember seeing this cartoon before.

Your reaction was a low-key masterpiece. Hearing you deconstruct the logic of the song was hilarious! Keep it up. And any more National Film Board stuff you wat to do will be welcome. Especially any of the works of Norman McLaren.

It is about starting off with a small problem. In trying to solve the small problem, one ends up with a bigger problem.

The version I learned as a kid ended with a moose.

The version my dad taught us ended with the horse but a moose is brilliant 😀

Dude we’ve watched your content for ever and in your intro we use to laugh when you said how are you going ? When really your supposed to say how’s it going and now it’s just annoying. Please say it proper by the way we’re Canadian from British Columbia

How are you going is the proper Australian way. I'm also Canadian and I don't for a second believe that we are the be all end all in how things should be done or said. I watch because I enjoy his perspective on the content, if I found it annoying I would find something else to watch.
