Freddie in the studio we get to hear his beautiful falsettos, live we get great powerful vocals and of course a great performance. Thanks for the reaction.
Definitely! It's almost like they are two different songs. In studio, there are these fragile falsettos everywhere, and live he belts all of them, which sonds very powerful. It's best to hear when listening to the two versions side by side.
In Studio, Near the last verse and chorus, he basically belts all the notes and we also get to hear a very high belt, reaching the same pitch as the Falsettos in the chorus
Great reaction HAP. My favorite part of this video is when FREDDIE walks out without a shirt and all wet wow. Yes the live versions are great. The 2 live versions are my favorite are the one from Montreal 1981 and Milton Keynes 1982 both are fantastic. Thank you HAP for all you do. Take care and have a good evening. Your girl, QUEEN BEE.
I love that Freddie is wearing his FLASH shirt & grabs the space mic (kind of a play on Flash Gordon). ⚡️⚡️ Beautiful harmonies!! 🎵🎵 OMG Freddie sweaty & shirtless ... Doesn’t get any better than that! 🥵 Play The Game is in my top five!! 👏👏👏👏 Thank you HAP for making my day a little bit better!! 👊 (boom)
Always liked this video. I mean what's not to like about a topless Freddie walking out of the flames?? Ok I'm shallow I know lol. Anyway you might want to listen to Brian and Roger's commentary on this at some point, it's interesting to hear them explain how it was filmed. Thanks for another great reaction.
I'd missed this for the lives, but it's bloody WONDERFUL, and I'll watch it again. I think this song is fantastic and sweaty Freddie is the icing on the cake, so to speak. Thanks Hap.
This is Freddie's first video with the mustache, I think. It's an incredibly fun video, with him jumping on Roger's drums and taking Brian's guitar. Daredevil Mr. Fahrenheit 🔥🔥🔥🔥 And the song is beautiful, it's Queen registered astonishing quality. Of course, bare chest Freddie is also nice to watch 😘😎😁
Having watched several of your videos now, that Mr. Happy hoodie seems most appropriate, as you seem a very jovial and upbeat guy. Lovely to see what you make of Queen coming from a different musical background.
Brian wasn’t about to let the red special be thrown about hence he used the crappy fender in the video. Surprised to see many saying never seen or heard this...even though it’s on greatest hits & video hits 1. The first appearance of Freddie’s moustache
Heard it. Not seen the video either. I think everyone prefers the live version so the official video is that sought after. But considering it was his 1 was showing the mo! It should be an epic consideration. Who would have thought. 👑
Every one of their songs has several faces and you get a different feeling from the studio to each concert and the energy at each one. Makes listening to them so much fun.
Loved your reaction. Another great reason why I love Queen/Freddie so much as studio version is great then you get 3 maybe 4 different ways of them doing it live. Fantastic 👍😁
Wow I was looking at you, missed that flying 🎤 haha Good point! It's my first time seeing something like this also 🤣😏 Queen are so entertaining in so many ways!! Just like you Hap🌟
Hi Hap3, The part where Freddie grabs the guitar; I always saw that as emblematic of the synthesizer taking over the music then the guitar getting the final word. It was the first Queen single to feature a synth. Cheers my man, stay well!
Like you Hap, I prefer the live version, but love the video for the harmonies. Too few people are themselves these days, I see it everywhere, people saying "I'm reinventing myself" what does that even mean? It seems as if people are dissatisfied with life, the grass is always greener syndrome, I don't know what the answer is, all I do know is that there is no quick fix for whatever ails them.
This was written by Freddie after he Broke up with his then boyfriend Another bit of trivia This was lifted off the game album Originally the album was called play the game But Roger didn't want it called that Because it sounded like an order to conform

Great reaction as always Hap! May I suggest again Another One Bites The Dust at Wembley, from the Friday night show. The band takes it to another whole level just as they did for the whole Wembley concert. It’s so much fun to watch Freddie improvise and riff and the energy he has moving around the stage. The true definition of the word “Strut” is definitely what Freddie does in this performance. I hope you get to do it soon. You’ll love it. It’s my favorites version of the song. Enjoy and have a great weekend♥️
wow i love you do the music video of the song😊 i heared somewhere the guitar that fred throw is not the red special 😅. i also finally got that book😅 , just want to ask if you taped / pasted that cover of the book by yourself or it’s already pasted on hardcover bcos mine is not pasted 😅,thanks😊😊
iirc, you reacted to the Milton Keynes (The Bowl) live version of this -- which was, like the entire concert, far and away better than Montreal in all ways. (Unless you reacted to Montreal AND Milton Keynes.) As for live vs. studio on this one? I prefer the live version, except for one part: At the 7:20 minute mark of your reaction, that note he belts is perfection. IMO.
It's interesting comparing your thoughts and comments with "know-it-all" book..Looking forward to a next station of the Queen train! (How about "You don't Fool me" issued in 1995. from "Made in Heaven" album?)
Chiaramente in studio musica e parole si ascoltano nella loro interezza e Freddie può utilizzare il suo magnifico falsetto 👏👏👏 ma live è una canzone passionale e appassionata con la voce di Freddie intensa e forte . Bella recensione carissimo Hap 🥰 sei molto bravo 💖💖💖
The song is really catchy. It is not their best video, by far. Maybe the people of "Flash" DID play a role in it's production. 🤐 Freddie didn't get to "perform" as much as I would have liked. I appreciate the honest (as always) reaction. Our boy keeps it real! 💯%
Did you notice, how in 5:05 and 6:00 they sang the chorus with the camera on each member, Freddie singing, Brian singing, Roger singing, John, erm, not singing 😃😃😃 And Freddie's jump backwards on the bass drum in 5:08 - I always thought that Freddie jumped down and they played it in reverse, but who knows... The cover picture of the world wide hit "Another one bites the dust" is exactly that picture, where Freddie jumps up (or down?) the drum. It's noticeable that this single cover has Freddie with the moustache, while he didn't have the moustache in the "Another one..." video.
He did have a moustache in the video to 'Another One Bites the Dust', also a yellow tank top and a baseball cap with fake horns on it. And the backwards jump onto the bass drum is definitely reversed footage, same as Freddie throwing the guitar to Brian.
oh really, he hasn't reacted to that one. It's such a beautiful song! I love how he is harmonizeing with himself, and I love the intentionally off-key piano (not played by Freddie). I'd recommend to start with the lyrics version, not with the new cartoon video. The cartoon video is nice and sweet, but it fully distracts from this beautiful song.
I. LOVE. THIS. SONG... It is a funny video, tho: Where's Freddie's shirt gone? It's melted off in all the flames! OOPS, Nevermind.. His shirt's come back now!😁
Pretty sure this was about the first song where they used "synthesizers" - on their first few albums, they always made a point of saying "and NO synthesizers" - I love this song, but the one part that I don't particularly like is the spacey "zoom" in the middle - seems unnecessary Brian's guitar is smooth and great without it - but he was always known for being "experimental" -- so I would just say... "bleh" to that particular experiment... (P.S. that is not the Red Special - :)
He may have been with Tony at this time But i can't find clear info when they dated and split up,there's claims he cheated on Freddie when he went on tour that Freddie flew him over to dump him and kept his cat! He left Mary for David, left him for Joe Who couldn't cope with not being open publically with their relationship but I dont think he left joe for Tony It was after Tony he started clubbing a lot Things didn't work out with Vinnie or Bill Early 80s he wanted a one night stand with Thor but they were both too drunk, found the whole situation histerical and became good friends, they went clubbing and saw each other a lot in the early 80s a group of them he called his NY daughters! They stayed in touch and came to Britain when he could and Freddie flew them over for his bday He lived with winnie in munich then metJim who he was with 84 to 91 It would be difficult to maintain a relationship with their lifestyle but it would have been far more difficult when there's pressure on you not to be open publically and not being able to have a normal relationship Taking them to functions properly... Jim did go to live aid but he wasn't sat with him.. But a few of his partners werent out to their family either At least things have changed now
@@debramoore7513 I know it might sound gossipy I saw a recent video the other day ' Freddie fav song' they just used his name for click bait Just kept going on about him being promiscuous and actually said he never found love.. Fun fact, Brian was so scared for his Red Special that he replaced his guitar at the last moment for another one. ☺️
The wisdom of Dr. Brian May! I cringed at the fact that Freddie even touched it! My heart skipped a beat. 😲

No, this was not a Red Special, it was some cheap guitar that Brian used for this video and dont know why! It is not even Fender Stratocaster!!!
Great Hap, live is faster I think and Freddie’s more powerful voice. The harmonies of course are better on this one. 👏
Watch this live at Montreal sounds so different
I like the music video rather than their live performance bcuz the song is heard correctly and the videos are nice to watch.

Hi. I think you need to watch till the end, I fundamental cleared all that up post the music video with my comments.
MAN YOU HAVE TO SE THE VIDEO "FRIENDS WILL BE FRIENDS" 1986
He may have been with Tony at this time
But i can't find clear info when they dated and split up,there's claims he cheated on Freddie when he went on tour that Freddie flew him over to dump him and kept his cat!
He left Mary for David, left him for Joe
Who couldn't cope with not being open publically with their relationship but I dont think he left joe for Tony
It was after Tony he started clubbing a lot
Things didn't work out with Vinnie or Bill
Early 80s he wanted a one night stand with Thor but they were both too drunk, found the whole situation histerical and became good friends, they went clubbing and saw each other a lot in the early 80s a group of them he called his NY daughters! They stayed in touch and came to Britain when he could and Freddie flew them over for his bday
He lived with winnie in munich then metJim who he was with 84 to 91
It would be difficult to maintain a relationship with their lifestyle but it would have been far more difficult when there's pressure on you not to be open publically and not being able to have a normal relationship
Taking them to functions properly...
Jim did go to live aid but he wasn't sat with him..
But a few of his partners werent out to their family either
