Underrated show and underrated actor. Not many live action actor actually can portray the character as accurately to the comics as he did. He was also the voice actor for John Constantine in the animated movies.

I prefer him in his own show than legends of tomorrow. It was more dark and gritty in the comics. Also, I liked him better with Zatanna than Zari 2.0. Zatanna and john had more chemistry, and in the comics.

But the girl in Constantine's series, it was the psychic Zed, another of John's romantic partners in the comics ...
I would have preferred his show get renewed, but Constantine being in Legends is a good compromise. Him being added is what made me start watching Legends, truth be told, even if the premise is a bit odd.
I believe he and Zari are a thing in the comics that's why

@@thomaskilroy4573 Accent's fine. A bit inaccurate cause he's Welsh but eh. I do agree it's a bit hokey but that's how the show potrays him. A bit too cartoony and likable. In the comics he's a straight up dick who sacrifices friends on a daily basis.

Ive seen a lot of people describe em fittingly as that one player who read the entiee game's lore and guides and so knows every hidden powerup, tip, and trick in the game. Hes not super strong and not the most skilled, but hes very clever and he knows a lot of powerful secrets

I am so angry this show was canceled it just scratched the surface of all of its potential.
Honestly, the lower budget kinda made me love the magic more. I like the subtle magic, the kind without the flashy visuals and glowing light, just the results of the spell
Cool look and personality to this version. True to source material unlike the Keanu Reeves version.

In the comics, his powers are described as somewhat weak, and if you compare him to other magic-users in the DC universe, he's probably the weakest in terms of magic powers. His intelligence is pretty much the reason why he always survives.

difficult if not impossible to actually quantify his powers, nature of a soft magic system, and this is pretty soft... but Constantine is the goat... as far as the show is concerned, the one part I don't think that I liked was the exorcism of Pazuz; based on the mythology of that demon in particular I think they needed something more grand for it to be "believable" and yes, strange to say in context, but it does come down to how much you can accept within the magical confines of the show, and I just didn't think it was enough...

It seems that Edward kenway became an exorcist after retiring from being a pirate.
So I haven't seen much of this show, but it seems to be like Supernatural if the Winchesters were competent at magic instead of trying to fist fight every demon they came across. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
And actually good special effects, where a creature is a creature not a man with lenses.
Fyi, Supernatural was based by Constantine ( hence Castiel ). He s been around in comics since the 80s

I genuinely cannot fathom why this show got so many bad reviews, and why so many people had to get it cancelled because of their stupidity.
This show was one of the best shows cw came out with in years. The actor who plays John, did his role justice. He walks, talks, and acts, EXACTLY like John does in the comics and animated movies. Makes sense since he is the voice actor for it.
Now if only they couldve kept this show going, and expanded in depth about his role as a Laughing Magician.
