    I just found your channel tonight and I have been so impressed with the videos I've seen already. I'll be watching many more. I was so excited to purchase from your Etsy store, but I think it's gone. I'm in the south and I'm familiar with warm water shelling, but your mega moons are gorgeous and the scallops are phenomenal. Any chance you will open another Etsy store? I subscribed and I'm loving your videos!

    Those horse crabs you find not be dead ones, but rather the shed exoskeleton of the creature. One way to quickly determine that is to look at underside of shell. If it has a clean slit along the edge, it is merely the shed exoskeleton that it has shed. Just like lobsters, crabs and other animals that have exoskeleton, as they continue to grow, they shed the old shell, so they can grow a new one that is big enough for them. I have a shed outer skeleton of a horse show crab in my collection.

    Boy that didn't look like Plumb Island. Had to be in the state park part. I didn't see a single house in the whole video. And didn't catch a glimpse of Salisbury either. No fishing boats or surf casters fishing. Just doesn't look right. I grew up in Newburyport and have been on Plumb Island many times.

      @lonelyp1 it's at the end of the Parker River wildlife refuge - Bar Head Rocks. Check it out when you can. It's like being on another planet ❤️

      @@PlumIslandSeaCabin Yes, I knew at the very least it had to be that end of the island. And that a guy with a fishing rod or metal detector may have been edited out. If you were anywhere near the point, you couldn't do panoramic views and not see any houses, the light house, the coast guard station, or even Salisbury. Happy picking.

    What is a "ploomer?" I couldn't quite get what you said about parts of the beach that's prohibited to cross on. 😊

    • @lisamdrake5696
      @lisamdrake5696 Месяц назад +2

      She said that part of the beach was closed off for the Plovers. They are a protected species of shore bird. This is my first time watching this channel and I found her difficult to understand when she was naming some of the little shells…particularly a ‘basket ???’ I could never quite catch the word following basket? Anyway… 😊
