- Sakamoto Days has a ton of powerhouses already, but one topic I don't see talked about as much is who the strongest actually is. Of course, prime Sakamoto clears the entire verse if we take the narrator's statement as fact, but the discussion over Sakamoto Days' strongest character during the present time of the series is a little more contentious. Some might argue Nagumo, others might say Shishiba or X, but today, I'll be telling everyone why the true strongest of Sakamoto Days is Takamura.

Greatest is not equal to strongest. Takamura could have very well been the strongest order member of all time, but sakamoto would still be considered the greatest due to his achievements, feats and infamy.
Not only that, but takamura seems to be a myth amongst the jaa, most of the people not even knowing about him, or simply believeing he doesn’t exist or was dead a long time ago

To be fair, while i think Prime Sakamoto is stronger, the statement of the narrator does not include current Takamura since Sakamoto stated that Takamura is a lot stronger than in the past. I still think Prime Sakamoto is stronger, because while Sakamoto said he got a lot stronger, he didnt say Takamura was stronger than he himself was in his Prime, Nagumo doesnt say this either.
So my question is, is Uzuki stronger than Takamura? And if yes, is Uzui stronger than Prime Sakamoto?
Uzuki clearly adopted Takamuras peronality (He mutters and speaks in non understandable japanese), so i wonder if he actually is stronger or just surprised Takamura. On top of that Takamura was slightly fatigued and lost an eye.

Well Takamura is the only old order agent we know and we know that no one grows old enough and survive in the assassin business. That fact alone makes Takamura the strongest in the Sakamoto universe.
I don't understand why you are insecure about saying that he's the strongest currently, he actually he's, he show that top tiers do nothing to him just one slice from him is game over, and Slur didn't try fighting him. In my opinion unless the top tiers fight together, Takamura wins, obviously if he doesn't get plot holes or if stronger character/feats aren't shown.

I dont think the narrator meant greatest hitmen as the strongest, im pretty sure it was later stated that sakamoto was so good as a hitmen because he could make a weapon out of anything but it was never stated that he would win against takamura only that he was more prolific and well known but we gotta point out that only a few know takamura since he is like a myth an barely goes to any mission, weve seen characters metion how sakamoto would give them a better figth if he was in his prime but when it comes to takamura "x" couldnt even put together a plan except for just running away if he happens to appear ( and we know "x" has a group as strong as the force or at least similar) Currently we have 3 top 5 characters in the same place in some sort of temporal alliance sakamoto, akao and nagumo, we know sakamoto was the strongest out of this 3 but they were always close so with a force this strong you would think it requires several strong people to pose a threat but the author decided to send a single character takamura, I think that tells you how the author sees him.

Greatest doesn’t mean strongest
Takamura can be seen in the hospital in the chapter (55) after he gets blown up. Sakamoto and Hyo fight and fly over him while he's reading a magazine.
You can try and say it's just a random old man. It is a hospital, after all. But old man, with eyes closed, READING a magazine, and glancing nonchalantly at Sakamoto being punched through a wall. He just needed some bed rest.
My only problem with Sakamoto days is i can't stand reading the newbies fights while we have these absolute monsters fighting eachothers,like i could not care less about all the newbies they introduced after this fights
