Hello, my fiancé is interested in Job Corp, but unfortunately he is not yet a U.S. resident. I’ve seen previously that you all offer job placement alongside the courses you offer, and that is something that majorly peeped our interest being that we are soon to be 1st time parents. We’re looking for slots that are non-res for the purpose of our living and our baby’s. Although, I saw on the website that Job Corp only accepts U.S. residents or those who have a visa that’s granted through work. We are looking to marry soon so I was curious if he established temporary citizenship through a K1 Visa (marriage) IF that would be enough to join Job Corp? Or is there any assistance programs that you guys may have that allow him to join Job Corp as a non US Citizen? I was also curious to know if the training courses through this program are paid and if so is that something non-res students are eligible for as well or would that only be through the job placement? Thank you.
Job Corps accepts students who are legal U.S. residents; lawfully admitted permanent resident aliens, refugees, asylees, or other immigrants who have been authorized to work in the United States; or residents of a U.S. territory.
