- Bulgaria is SO underrated! Come with me on a road trip through Europe's hidden gem of Bulgaria!
It is known as the cheapest country in Europe and as "Europe's poorest country", but it is one of the most underrated destinations in Europe!
My road trip through Bulgaria was not what I expected and I absolutely loved discovering this beautiful country!
Here is what I did during my travels in Bulgaria:
- Veliko Tarnovo, one of the most beautiful towns in Bulgaria
- A day exploring the countryside and living the Bulgarian village life
- Checking out the Buzludzha Monument, that looks like a spaceship!
- Going to Plovdiv, which shocked me with how beautiful it was
- And obviously eating delicious Bulgarian street food!

That church in Sofia, that you said is the oldest in the city. It is not only that. This is the Church of Saint George (rotonda) it is actually the oldest church in Europe that is still used as a church only.(there are other preserved churches from that period, but they are used as museums as well). So 16 centuries after it was built, it is still a proper orthodox church that one can go into.

The place you mentioned with church mosque and sinagogue is called triangle of tolerance...there is also catolic church in the same place

I love watching these videos, dreaming of the day I can travel again, kids really slowed us down traveling. The food looked delicious also.
Thank you so much for watching! Also, if you have kids and want to travel, maybe you might enjoy doing house exchanges! We did that with my parents when I was growing up. You stay at someone's house and they stay in yours, so it's based on trust (and good reviews) and it is pretty nice because you usually exchange with a family that has a similar lifestyle to yours so you get an actual home and even new friends sometimes :)
